She Crab Soup
A Delicious Blend of Crabmeat, Sherry and Cream. A Savannah Tradition
Honey Pecan Fried Chicken
This was our first trip to Savannah. Our friends recommended Pirate's House and it did not disappoint! A delicious gluten-free menu and wine list. We would definitely try again.
Our food came out cold and the tilapia was a bit too fishy but the house itself was fun to see and tour. I like that we had the ability to walk around the property for a quick self-guided tour.
Oh my gosh-get the pecan crusted chicken. It’s the best chicken I’ve ever eaten. Such a cool historic place. Everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful.
Basically kicked out after getting our food because it was a shift change.
It was exciting to dine at the Pirate House, good food with very historical feel.
Our waiter was a sweetheart! The food was amazing! He made sure that everything was perfect. We had dinner in the middle of a thunderstorm and with the perfect lighting and the soft spoken waiter, it was wonderful!
It was just another restaurant in Savannah. Nothing spectacular stood out. . The service was good, but the way people recommended the restaurant- I was expecting something different.
The food was amazing!! All of the staff was wonderful! I would definitely recommend!
It was ok, but overpriced for what we received.
Was able to get in earlier than our reservation which was a plus. I anticipated a little more history in the place as we mainly went for the historical significance. We did the Buffett - good southern cooking - nothing notable but not bad. Dessert comes with the Buffett but you still have to order it and for some reason can’t get it to go.
What a fun dining experience. I’m a southern girl and I loved all of the food on the lunchtime buffet. Our server Christy was very knowledgeable about the building and took time to share with us. Definitely going back for the fried chicken!
Thank you for your service Tom. The food was delicious. First time having fried green tomatoes. So yummy!! I guess I was hoping for a bit of the history of the place and more artifacts for viewing.
We love this place! Food, ambiance, location and price is great!
The food was Fantastic. We truly have no complaints on the food at all, it is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Our issue was the service. We planned our trip a week in advance but because of availability the ONLY reservation available was 845pm so that's what we took. We even arrived 10 minutes early. We were there for our one year wedding anniversary dinner. As soon as we put our appetizer order in the waitress started rushing our entire meal. She said she couldn't wait to put our dinner in because the kitchen was closing. Then once our meal came out she said we had to order dessert before we ate our entrees. Then when we playfully asked if she could give us a tour she snapped saying she'd been there since 10am and was tired and didnt care what we did. It was so disappointing because we had been looking forward to that dinner as our celebratory dinner all week and we were pushed through there in 40 minutes and that is not an exaggeration. Next time we will skip the service and get take out because the food was good but southern hospitality was nowhere to be seen.
Great overall. Good was good. Waitress was attentive and personable.
Great food at a good price. Loved the ambiance. The chicken fingers for lunch were some of the best that I have had.
Food was excellent but the service was less than desirable. We waited 10 minutes before someone came to the table. They forgot our salad and the shrimp added to the gumbo came out 10 minutes after the gumbo. Drinks and food were delicious though. Glad we didn't order the buffet (like a neighboring table did) as they took it down after they only made one trip. If people are allowed to order that until 3, it needs to stay out for 20-30 minutes. Commotion in the room with the buffet between 3-3:30 between taking that down, people not happy that it's down after just ordering it and setting up tables in it's place. Avoid that room/time if possible.
Reservations went great was seated right away, food was good as always but should be able to order off main menu if desired to do
We brought our adult children and grandkids for a fun lunch. The host seemed less than thrilled to meet us at the door. However, the rest of the staff more than made up for it. Our server was super sweet and the pirates that visited our table were so nice to the kids. The kids loved their pirate hats, food was good value for the money. Alcohol drinks were delicious and as described. Get the fries! Yum! Will def visit again.
Birthday trip food was amazing service excellent
Food was good. Service was odd. Glad we had a reservation but was overall not impressed. For the price I expected more.
Service was terrible! It took 1.5 hours for kids chicken nuggets and an appetizer! Waiter was rude and hard to find.
Ordered she-crab soup, fried shrimp and shrimp both shrimp dishes had good flavor but shrimp was WAY overcooked and tough. Shrimp and grits - tails were left on so your fingers get all messy taking tails off. ALL the food was served luke-warm. The server asked how our food was and we told her respectfully that it was over cooked and not hot and she did offer to have it re-made for us but at that point we did not want to wait and they were really busy. Our server did bring a special dessert for my birthday with a sparkler in it to relive an old memory which was appreciated.
Had 6:45 reservations, got there 5 minutes early and we we seated right away.
We ordered drinks, an appetizer. Drinks and water came out fast. Waited 45 minutes for our appetizer. Finished both our drinks and water. Ordered our dinners and about 5 minutes later the appetizer finally came out - mind you we had been ready to order dinner for about 20 minutes at that point. Waters only were refilled once and after it was requested. We were never asked if we wanted another drink. Waiter disappeared for long stretches of time and when he was near our table avoided eye contact.
We got dinner about 45 minutes after we ordered it. Now we understand there was a huge party in the back and the kitchen was backed up, it was the fact that our waiter did not check to see if we needed more water, wanted another drink or if we wanted more rolls at the table. We watched tables around us get better and faster service, refills on drinks, come in after us but get served before us. I almost think he forgot to put in our order and realized his mistake later. We were actually trying to find him to cancel our mains when the food finally came out. Nothing was discounted or offered to us because of the wait. We were really disappointed with our experience. Our bill was over a $100 for two of us and probably would have been a lot more if we could have ordered another round of drinks or two. The icing on the cake was when he dropped the bill at our table and disappeared for another 10 minutes. We tried to walk up front to pay just so we could leave and the hostess told us we had to go back to our table to check out. Magically our waiter appeared as we were walking back.
Always delicious food
It was a bummer that the pirate tour wasn’t happening, but understandable with Covid
I had the tuna was dry, husband had salomn good. Didn't care for fry tomatoes salad was disappointed no wedge salad
Main dishes were fantastic. The appetizer of calamari just okay. Our server was great!
The building and ambiance are unique, but there are other places in Savannah for a family meal with better food and without the high tab. Large portions, especially on the fried chicken. Biscuits and cornbread made my kids happy. Drinks from the bar seemed overpriced for what we got. Friendly staff. We want once to check it off the bucket list but would not go back.
Terry our server was great! We had a reservation for 8pm, so one of the last spots, and he spent so much time talking with us and giving us history. The shrimp was excellent, very fresh. They have a great selection of draft beers as well. A must do if you’re in Savannah!
Fun place with great service and great food. Their biscuits are the best.
Good quality and great quantity of food at a slightly high price point. But, the service and atmosphere are worth the extra cost. Feels more like Disney than Savannah but remains true to its Low Country roots. Perfect for foodie families with children and would even work for a casual date night.
Great place to go for a fun night out. The food was good, and out waiter really took care of us.
Went with high expectations. Shrimp were way overcooked and the she-crab soup was thick and lumpy with flour, and lacked flavor.
Food was ok.... service was great! Would not go back if given other choices.
Shrimp and grits was not that good
The food was fine but the service was poor. It look 2 full hours for dinner because the waiter kept us waiting for every little thing. We saw other tables with different servers get seated after us and eat their full meal before we saw our food. It was really terrible service. And the gift shop closes at 9pm so because our 7pm dinner took so long, we missed out on exploring all the pirate themed gifts.
Vacation special night.
We waited 1 hour for our food. It was very ordinary except for my shrimp and grits which was very small and not grits. 4 shrimp and a scoop of something like rice. Yuck. Disappointed. Cost with tip was $80 for 4 lunches.
Wisely recommended but greatly disappointed. We were seated in a corner of a dark room with no light. We had to use our cell phone flashlight to see the menu. The buffet was not refreshed when we arrived and they were out if plates. I had to go up to the hostess stand to ask for it to be refreshed only to be told by a young girl that it should be🤷🏼♀️ The line for the plates was four people deep. They waited for about 8-10 minutes for someone to bring plates. The food, well it was mediocre at best. Weird tasting mashed potatoes and gravy and would have expected more other meat options. Just odd flavors and we come from Kentucky so we know southern food. The dessert lacked much to be desired and was very underwhelming. Only two choices of key lime pie and peach cobbler with no peaches. It was only about two tablespoons of
Cobbler. I got the burnt corner piece and asked for another and our waitress asked me why I wanted more.
I would not go back or recommend this restaurant for anyone.
