The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

Fun place to visit, not culinary delight. We were there to see historical value and it did not disappoint. Had a party of four with two Savannah residents. We requested the location based on historical value. Our server was personality + and on spot. Fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese, excellent! Overall, food was 7 of 10. Two orders of shrimp and grits were inconsistent, good but different. “World famous fried chicken” was good. Behind scenes tour was interesting, we just wanted to see “the tunnel”….that made it worth it. Box checked, and you should too.

Warm friendly and efficient staff. Delicious food— she-crab soup, grouper entree, lump crab cake, character in costume, ghost stories/history. Make for a great Savannah meal experience!

The food was good and there was an abundance of it because of the lunch buffet. The service was good. The lady pirate telling us about the place was excellent.

The Pirate House was a fun place to dine out for dinner. The fried chicken signature dish was amazing. The salmon was very good also. The waiter was friendly and very helpful. The tour guide of this historic building was engaging with lots of pirate jokes. Overall this was a good experience. We would return the next time we are visiting Savannah.

It’s a tourist trap. They have group tours coming through the restaurant non-stop which is disruptive. Services was good but felt very rushed like they want to keep things moving. Food is not worth the cost at all. We even had to send things back it was so bad. Pork was tough and burnt on one side. “Crab cake” was more like a crab salad. It was watery and had an off taste.

Looks like a great place to explore after dinner. Rooms throughout out the restaurant seem to have history. You just need to arrive and complete dinner prior to 8 pm. Our reservation was 830pm. We missed walking through the restaurant with a pirate. Visiting the gift shop that closed at 9pm. We had the fried green tomatoes, they were excellent, followed by the Pecan honey fried chicken which is crazy delicious. It's a lot of chicken (4pieces) shareable.
