The Pirates' House
It was a nice environment to have a birthday dinner.
Excellent experience as always. I have eaten here for my birthday for over 20 years. Best Southern buffet in Savannah, and a real bargain at the price.
The history is really cool but comes off as somewhat gimme. Lots of rum cocktails which is great for me. Drinks are not overpriced. I had the tilapia and was not disappointed, sides are great. My husband had the filet and it was good as well.
Overall great experience.
The staff was fairly pleasant and seated us timely. The Bloody Mary was very good but pricey, but that’s was not the exception, everything was pricey and they would not change their offerings within the entrees. The food was well portioned except for the she crab soup which is only served by the cup size. Overall the experience was good but don’t expect to pay less than a hundred bucks for a couple for dinner.
Good food served in a professional manner. Was afraid there might be some oddball cheezy Pirate stuff but just a pleasant meal.
Great food. Staff was amazing and very interactive. Will go back for sure.
A must when visiting Savannah. Delicious favorites and newer recipes.
I’ve been coming to the Pirate’s House for many years when in Savannah. The food has always been wonderful, & some of my favorite recipes are from their cookbook.
My Sister & I take an annual “Sister’s Trip” and this year we came to Savannah. We came to the Pirate’s House for the first meal in town & we returned this afternoon after our Old Town Trolly Tour. We took the complimentary tour of the house our first meal & thoroughly enjoyed that new experience.
We have heard references to the Pirate’s House in every other historical venue we’ve visited this trip & we are so happy to have such great memories at this special place.
We got the lunch buffet and when got back to our table we still didn’t have our drinks. Vegetables were good. Disappointed in chicken - no pecan sauce for chicken. Dessert was included; we were given a choice of two they were not out by the buffet. I wanted to take mine with me but they would not let me. Very disappointed in customer service. Drinks were not even refilled and paid $2.99 for tea.
Our waitress Emily was great! The food was really good and the tour topped it off thanks.
Very cool place! Great atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious! Will be coming back.
The grandkids loved the idea of a "pirate" house. food was good and plentiful, service was excellent. A tour of the history of the house is available and very good.
Tourist trap. Very cheesy atmosphere with plastic skulls and parrots in the fireplace. Food unimpressive. Lots of fried stuff.
The history was fascinating, the service was okay, but the food was greasy and mediocre. Would not go back again.
Very good food. Great service. Really cool atmosphere.
The food was outstanding. I loved the pecan fried chicken...it's actually one of the best pieces of friend chicken I've ever had! The mashed potatoes were lovely with a bit of garlic. My dining companion had the crab au Gratin, and she said it was absolutely filled with crab and no fillers and it was amazing.
Fun for everyone. Lots of history to this restaurant. We had a pirate 🏴☠️ give a tour.
Ally was our server. She was so fun. The food was great. We had the lunch buffet. The fried chicken was fantastic! I wasn’t sure which beer to try and she brought me a couple different samples which I appreciated because I ended up choosing one I wouldn’t have picked off the menu. We are taking my family from Michigan next week when they visit us in Augusta. Thank you Ally for the great service!
Food was great. Server was disrespectful/dismissive of me but ok with my husband.
Excellent food, fast service, and great atmosphere! I would defiantly recommend this place for a fun dining experience.
In reading that a buffet was available, i was looking forward to some delicious southern style home made food. The buffet was extremely disappointing to say the least. I wouldn't even call it a buffet, as the food options were very limited. I would not recommend, im sorry to say.
We wish that more seafood was on the lunch buffet. Mac and cheese was awesome.
Wonderful, delicious experience! I am not a fan of crab cakes, but our waiter convinced me to try the broiled crab cakes and shrimp. I will never eat crab cakes anywhere else but The Pirate House. Absolutely scrumptious !!! The best drink in Savannah is Just Peachy and service was impeccable . We will definitely be returning.
Service okay 3 stars. But the crab cheese was fishy. My business associate thought he might get sick.
My oysters and prawns were good. Because I told my waiter I was looking for primarily fried oysters, would have been better service to offer customizing my plate to oysters only.
Excellent service, great food and a really cool atmosphere. Love the Pirate visiting your tables with Pirate Tales and Ghost Stories!
Good food, fun atmosphere. Onsite parking which was a bonus. Portions are huge for the pecan fried chicken, we split it and it came out on two plates that looked like a full dinner per person! Staff have fun stories to share about their haunted experiences. If we ever come to Savannah again, we will be back!
First trip to Savannah
The most delicious food - the honey pecan crusted chicken was fantastic and the crab cake with shrimp was also amazing. Our server was nice if not sometimes preoccupied, but overall it was a great dinner. The young lady giving Pirate House tours was just wonderful and made everything interesting. To top it off, the sweet tea was just perfect. Highly recommend!
We were a party of 8 women on a mini-reunion. We had a small room to ourselves which was great.
Our waiter was not only great service wise but was very personable and kept us entertained. During the meal my sister and I received some worrisome news about our mother. Our waiter took our mind off our troubles and really made the meal one of the highlights of our trip.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Looking forward to our next trip to Savannah and will definitely include a trip to the Pirates' House.
A pretty neat experiance. Biggest downfall is everything is fried. Fairly noisy but atmosphere is nice.
Server was excellent. Food was very tasty and fresh. Ambiance authentic and enjoyable
We enjoyed a great meal at the Pirates' House. Our waiter was exceptional and gave us great input on the various entree and drink options. Fun evening - we would highly recommend a visit to the Pirates' House by anyone visiting Savannah!
Great food, great atmosphere and story. I definitely will be taking family and friends who visit us here in Savannah!
Excellent ! I will be back. Food was great! Service was super
Excellent place to spend a birthday, just the right amount of special attention without being “cheesy” or over the top. The food and service, plus the fun piratey atmosphere were amazing as always.
Historic, delicious, quaint. Enjoyed the atmosphere and costumes.
Our group of six range in age from 68-78. The lighting made it difficult to read the menu
Great ambiance and good food. She Crab Soup was excellent, as it was Bourbon Pecan Cake
Good food and fun people! We also enjoyed the tour of the building.
