Wonderful food and great atmosphere.
Great food great service. A must visit in Savannah
Keith our waiter was very accommodating. Great food. Tours going on while dining were a little distracting. Coffer wad not good.
The house is really cool! And the tour was neat. Definitely ask to do that.
The food was also very good! But as a whole the restaurant is nicer dining than you’d expect upon walking in. Our service was ok, our waitress was busy, stressed, and came across a bit unfriendly. Unfortunate given the fact that it was our first and only time there.
Celebrating a visit from our Grandma from Kentucky who has never been to Savannah.
Friends together for a wedding. Enjoyed our evening with great food, wonderful service and fun atmosphere! We will definitely be back!
Interesting place. Fun atmosphere. Definitely appropriate for families.
We had a wonderful dinner at the Pirate House. The pecan chicken did not disappoint. It was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Enjoyed the food. Loved the history! At the end of your meal, a costumed pirate will take you around and show you all the historical secrets for a tip.
I had been to the Pirates House before and enjoyed the crab cakes. They were delicious. I was very disappointed in the crab augratin. It was terrible. Also we had to endure very loud customers at another table who had enjoyed too much alcohol. My family was disappointed overall with the experience.
Food was just ok, but served so quickly it had to all be pre-made and the server rushed us through - whole meal took 20 minutes including dessert. Free tour of the restaurant was the best part.
Great food, great atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff. Will definitely return and bring friends. Highly recommended
Food was absolutely wonderful and the service was outstanding.
Really lovely meal. Good selection of entrees and beautifully served. Great crab cakes and crab au gratin!
The crew were really accommodating in answering questions about the house’s history. They even have a staff dressed as a pirate to do house tours! And their fried chicken hits the mark, it was really good.
A friend recommended we give it a try. We were glad we did. It is a unique building retaining its character from centuries ago. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The scallops were the best thing I ate on a two week vacation. My wife loved the crab cake. We will stop in again.
When I reserved I gave special instructions, wheelchair access, a high chair for a toddler not much to ask for. The waitress not only once but various times bumped hardly in my wife’s wheelchair. It was our first and sadly last visit. I called and spoke with the manager Mr. Matt said he was going to take care of it but never called back. The waitress knew it was our first time instead of making the best he made the worst by rushing and poorly attentive. The kids did not enjoy the buffet and wanted something else from the menu he just look at their plates said well they enjoy it.
So rude of him, we are going to pay not him. It was a special occasion turn to be extremely sad.
It was a nice place with good food. Would be a blast for young kids.
Our server was horrible. We didn’t have drinks for over ten minutes (refills), so I had to go find another server and ask for drinks as I couldn’t find our server. Five minutes after that our server came back. It is took him another ten minutes to give me my credit card back after he took bill. Unacceptable. I also don’t think this restaurant is worth the hype. I won’t go back and wouldn’t suggest it.
Went with a group of 8. While most of the meals at the table were good, I was very disappointed in my fish. Seemed to be swimming in oil and the fries were not much better. Waiter forgot my second glass of wine. And we were grossly overcharged for our meal, although didn't realize it until we had left the city.
We are traveling, and just in Savannah for the night. The history of The Pirates House made it fun! And the food was fantastic! It is at the top of my list for my most memorable, kid-friendly, dining experiences. We will definitely come back he next time we are in Savannah!
We were new to this restaurant in Savannah. The She Crab Soup was too salty, Tilapia was bland, but the crab meet was tasty along with the Fried Green tomatoes. The pimento cheese with Gouda was a hit.
Food was good. Ive had several good experiences there. This time I wanted the jumbalaya, but they serve it on linguini (huh?) and didn't even have white rice (really?). The salmon was nicely done, however. Only problem was the waitress really rushed us; we kept saying we were in no hurry, it was only 6pm, but she repeatedly seemed to want to move us on.
We were taking a trolley tour and got off here. We were told there was a 45 minute wait. I went online with open Table booked a reservation and was seated in 15 minutes!!
All had shrimp and grits. Pretty good for price in historic Savannah
Delicious food, large selection of drinks. Our particular server wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu, but the hostess was great. We’ve been here several times during stopovers in Savannah and have always enjoyed it. The kids love that they can make the pirate costume out of the kids menu. We’ll be back!
Slightly overpriced but great food and great service.
Well overall our experience was good. We waiting about 10 mins before our waiter spoke to us. Our reservation was at 8:45 got there about 8:35 and they sat us. Server explained he didn’t know that we were there, but his charm balanced the wait. Food was okay. It’s more about doing something interesting than going to dinner. Fun, touristy, not worth the price.
Atmosphere was noisy. Food was just ok. Took a long time arriving. People who were seated and ordered after us got their meals before us.
The place is touted as a spot with some historical significance but little was explained about that. The girl dressed up as a pirate gave a half hearted "welcome" and didn't explain any thing. My kids were disappointed.
Got sat in a small room with three tables. Kids were crawling on the floor, two women were screaming at each other. Took 15 minutes before our waitress came. Finally got waters and ordered drinks. Drinks never came. We left and went to eat on River Street. Very disappointed.
You must try the honey pecan fried chicken. I’ve never eaten anything like it.
Amazing i am definitely going to be back. The food was great, the atmosphere was unique and well worth my drive from Kentucky!!!!
Definitely get a reservation! Lunch on a Thursday was completely packed, on a 2 hour wait. We were seated right at our reservation time for 8 people. Had a good variety of food for everyone. Waitress was extremely helpful and refilled drinks without asking. The restaurant had tours available too, but we didn't have time to take it. I would definitely recommend.
Great service. Wonderful food. Very fun place to eat. Only complaint was tour groups crowding around our table while trying to eat. Need to have smaller tour groups or don't do tours during peak dining times if all dining areas need to be utilized.
We had a great time while in town visiting family. Our waiter (Keith) was wonderful. Charming and attentive! We enjoyed the lore of the restaurant and took some time to look around. My son was upset, we got so caught up looking around that we left his souvenir skull mug. I’ve promised him another lunch next time we’re in town!
We had a great evening at the Pirate's House restaurant, thanks to exceptional service, outstanding food and a fun tour relating the interesting history.
Every time I visit Savannah The Pirate House is a MUST! The food is not cheap, but it is worth every penny! DO NOT pass up the biscuits and orange marmalade! Definitely make a reservation, this place is always packed! Be sure to ask for a tour from one of the pirates and make sure you tip well!
We had been looking forward to eating at the Pirates House on our visit to Savannah. It was worth it!
We loved our visit, our waiter, our food and everything about The Pirate House! With our reservation they seated us immediately on arrival. They were super nice even though very busy. They didn't rush us and interacted well with our group of girls. Our waiter entertained the girls with history and pirate tales! It was a great experience. Price was also reasonable. NO complaints from anyone in our party of 8. Excellent!
Enjoyed our meal at this very historic venue. The food was good, tourist prices but that is to be expected. Fun place to eat - both my husband and I had been as children and we loved being able to take our child to share the unique experience.
