Shrimp and Grits
Great service and hospitality would definitely recommend
Dined at the restaurant on 1/16 based on a tour guide's recommendation. Brought my 2 kids, 15 and 13. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Make sure to ask for the corn muffins and biscuits, they are divine. My son had the fried seafood platter, my daughter had a wedge salad and I had the famous fried chicken. All were outstanding. Very cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!
The amazing thing about this place is the history! Please Visit the Oldest building in the city of Georgia
The menu did not match what was online. The food had no flavor an the service was poor and the waiter was not attentive.
Great service and interesting history for the building. The food was pricey for what we received.
What a fantastic restaurant! Went there for my birthday dinner and was greeted with a glass of champagne! Dinner was SO delicious! I highly recommend the salmon!! Can't wait to go back again!!
Great food, superb service.
This was a last minute decision as we got into Savannah a little later than planned. The restaurant was a short walk from our hotel. Everyone was friendly and the food was excellent. The old building was full of interesting quirks and rooms. It was so much fun exploring the restaurant after we ate.
The bartender was great! She made an outstanding Manhattan. Fun to talk to.
The restaurant is historic and feels like a seafood restaurant should.
The server was very nice but seemed to rush us.
My wife loved the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese.
My shrimp and grits just may be the best anywhere.
Overall a really nice experience
The entree was very sub-par. The dessert was great. Service was good. We sat near the tunnel and it was COLD. I probably will never eat there again honestly.
The pirate tunnels were very interesting but made the restaurant quite cool. We needed to keep our jackets on. The gumbo was delicious.
Our service was incredible and the food was delicious!!
Excellent food, great wait staff, perfect location for where I stayed, and amazing history of the building.
The food was delicious. The service was speedy and friendly. We were disappointed that the gift shop was not open.
Good food and service
Good food and good service in a historic building in Savannah, GA
I wanted to love this place. It was just not what I had pictured in my mind. The food was ok. Nothing really special. The chicken was good. But I had the pecan sauce on the side and I didn’t care for it. I’m thankful the chicken wasn’t drenched in it. The prices are very high. Which is fine if the meal is amazing. But it was just ok so I felt I could have spent that money better elsewhere. Other than the store upstairs and the kids menu I don’t think I saw anything piratey. Our server was great. And the food was cooked well. $90 for two adults and a 4 year old seemed a bit steep for a kids hamburger and fries, a steak with mashed potatoes and half a fried chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. I don’t think I would go back. But that chicken was good. I would say better than the lady and sons.
Great shrimp! Never a bad meal when we visit!!
Great place to eat! Food was outstanding and Tom our server was very friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was quiet and interesting as the history is posted in different places around the establishment.
The food was absolutely amazing!
Delicious food. We were impressed with the food. Loved the chicken and the onion rings are amazing! The best part were the pulled pork rolls!! Love it!!
Service wasn’t great.
The lunch buffet has a great variety of southern food. They are consistent with savory and delicious food.
Great history, wonderful server, great food- you can’t ask for more!
The food was really delicious!
We enjoy going to the pirate house. Some of the food can be greasy so if you have sensitive palate watch out and stay away from anything fried like the calamari. The ambiance is great.
They had the best shrimp and grits we had while in Savannah. The service was really slow. The hubs had the pork tenderloin and enjoyed it. Overall a good meal just pricey and don’t come if you are starving!
The food was delicious and the service was incredible! Highly recommend!
Visiting Savannah restaurant recommended by family.
Wonderful location and ambience. Great value for the lunch buffet. I would have liked to see a label as to what each food item was. The rolls and cornbread are amazing! Great waitress too!
Food was delicious. Kids loved the environment. All around great experience
Best meal while in Savannah. Loved the she crab soup. The shrimp pasta was amazing too! Super friendly staff and great service.
A fun place to bring the family. I wish the tunnels were open or that there was a tour. The food was very good.
Excellent restaurant and service, very professional and a lovely place, food is excellent, we love it.
If you are seeking a dining experience in an authentically historical setting, then The Pirates' House definitely meets expectations. The ambiance reflects a tourist-driven vibe which diminishes the overall charm of the restaurant. The service was efficient, although our server was robotic, reciting the same spiel to every table and clearly disinterested in engaging with any of the diners. We were hoping the food would elevate our overall experience, but it was merely average. While I was generally pleased with the quality of the seafood platter, my companion was very disappointed with the ahi tuna. For those visiting Savannah for the first time, The Pirates' House could be an enjoyable destination for a meal. However, if you desire cuisine in a quiet intimate setting, this is not the place.
Loved the food, drinks, and our server was excellent.
Great food. Kids had a blast eating and then walking thru the old house. Definitely a great place to stop and eat when visiting the area.
Not much for those who like to eat light. I used to go here frequently in the mid to late 1970s and remember a much larger menu. We enjoyed the historic setting, but wanted a more exciting me.
Hostess staff was outright rude. We checked in early for dinner and had to wait. Another hostess took over seating and tried to seat us in the bar. This was at 4pm for dinner, so it was not yet full. The hostess walked us to the bar and tried to seat us. I explained that I had made a reservation several weeks in advance and did not want to sit in the bar. Her response was; Then you’re just gonna have to wait. We sat up by the hostess stand and this hostess told another one that I didn’t want to eat in the bar. Her response was; We’ll just stick them in the back somewhere. We said nothing and a few minutes later, they called to us by a different name. I again explained that I had made a reservation several weeks before and told her my name. Her response was; Oh, we mixed you up with someone else. Not sure why this should make any difference, based on how rude these 2 people were. We come to the Pirate House every time we come to Savannah, but after this experience, it may very well be our last....
