Nestled in the heart of Maryland's horse country, we are just a short drive from downtown Baltimore. Our staff treats each meal served as a special occasion, as guests enjoy the comforts of leather booths, a granite bar, dark mahogany walls and soft piano music.
In one of four unique private rooms, each with a fireplace, your rehearsal dinner, family or company party will truly be an affair to remember.
For a romantic dinner, business lunch, outdoor dining, or cocktails and dinner in the bar, visit The Oregon Grille, and enjoy the most amazing food in the country.
Dressy, attractive rural setting, strong drinks, quality ingredients, excellent service, bland execution.
Only been here for lunch, but the variety of options was great for our party of 10. I enjoyed the wedge salad. We also were seated in a private room which was nice for our group to have a chance for personal conversation.
This Place is has a great atmosphere, Great for lunch or a drink , excellent for dinner, Jacket your coat after 5PM
Great atmosphere, brunch and dinner both delicious.
Food just okay, selections haven't seemed to change in years, service seemed not interested in helping us, neglected to tell several guests about an upcharge until after the bill arrived. No hurry to return.
Have always loved our visits to The Oregon Grille - excellent food and service in a wonderfully, warm atmosphere. Unfortunately, they've switched over to the Resy online reservation service which requires a credit card to sign-up for the service, so our visits to TOG will be less frequent.
Good. Didn't knock my socks off. The restaurant is unique in design.
Wonderful experience. Will not be disappointed. Very professional, elegant, cozy and will be back.
As always at the Oregon Grille, the food and service was excellent. When I am in town from NC, this restaurant is a first choice!
Still one of the best restaurants in the area. Crab cakes are my favorite. Highly recommend strawberry shortcake.
It was nice.
Our recent visit to Oregon Grille had some unusual, for them, glitches. First, our female server made us nervous with her nervous hand gestures, almost knocking over wine glasses, and her over-hyped presentation of the specials on the menu. She was knowledgeable and friendly but did not have the smooth, calm veneer and panache we are used to having from the servers. Second, my Grille salad did not taste quite right; I wonder if the romaine was grilled on a grill that had not been cleaned. It had a sort of "off" flavor of rancid meat, maybe. Third, even though we had a nice table on the "porch," the noise level from the adjacent table was loud enough to actually hurt my ears. Even on a busy Sat. night, we have never had that experience before at Oregon Grille, which is one of our favorite fine restaurants! Let's hope these things that happened to us were anomalies never to be experienced again!
We always enjoy the Oregon Grille. One of our favorite restaurants. Food is always exceptional and the service is terrific.
Outstanding service, food and atmosphere
We were surprised that the restaurant wasn't busier for a Saturday night, but quite pleased to be seated in a quiet booth for two off the main dining room. The waiter was polite and very respectful of our privacy. One of our steaks was a bit overcooked (petite filet), but not a major issue. The experience was, as usual, fantastic! We will most definitely be back--soon!
waitress was great food was terrific piano a little loud
Food was excellent, especially the gnocchi. Server was fair, didn’t know much about the wine list or food. Ambiance is dated and the lawn jockeys need to go. Prices are high for the overall experience.
Excellent food and ambiance. Although it was a cold and blustery day, the room we were seated in was bright and warm. Great dining experience.
We had a great dinner with amazing service. The chairs were not terribly comfortable and the area where we sat was cold, but everything else was perfect.
We really enjoyed dinner and especially loved sitting outside in front of the fire after dinner having cocktails.
R.J. was excellent behind the bar. Great service from R.J.
Birthday. I had requested to be away from the music. They gave us a private room with a large round table for 8. Perfect!
we enjoyed our time lamb chops were quite fatty but tasty
Birthday - it was so nice. Love it there.
Thanks to the chef and entire team at Oregon Grille. The food, service, and ambiance set your restaurant amongst the best in the area.
There is no more pleasant dining experience in central Maryland.
We had a lovely dinner on a Saturday night. The staff were great! The food was delicious.
This restaurant is first class. Our waiter, John, was remarkable. Our drinks at the bar before dinner were superb. We celebrate every anniversary at the Oregon Grille. We love this place.
I really want to love the Oregon Grill, but this visit kept up the streak wherein I can say I’ve never had a great meal there. I’m 0 for 4 at this point. While service was wonderful, and cheese board terrific, my steak - ordered medium well, was far, far beyond well done. It was visibly charred (burned) in several spots, and should have never left the kitchen. For a restaurant where the waitress announced “we are known for our steaks”, that just doesn’t cut it. I didn’t want to impose on the rest of my party by sending it back, and I no longer need imagine what eating shoe leather is like.
Table service and ambiance were great. Pianist was nice touch. Food was good, but for the price, it was just, good.
Got meat? Steak is a theme. Oysters on the half shell were very small but tasty. The broccollini side was slightly undercooked, the duck leg was very overcooked, but the rockfish special was perfectly cooked. Service is immaculate. Live piano music seems like a good idea but was too loud, and we were seated a good distance away.
Wonderful, simply wonderful...…………………………………………………...
Very pricey. Menu hasn't changed in years and really needs to. Old favorites are good but not great.
Always love the place, impeccable service. Food always good but the French toast was mediocre. Anyhow, one bad meal certainly doesn’t deter us from coming back.
OG's excellent food only outdone by its excellent service.
Amazing just simply amazing took my girlfriend for our first valentines day. And i will certainly be back!!!!!
It's pricey, but you certainly get your money's worth. My wife and I were very impressed with the food and service, and the ambiance was enhanced by some wonderful piano playing. It was great place for our Valentines Day celebration.
Upon entering, The Oregon Grille waits on the customer, paying attention to every detail. The service was perfect, the food was amazing, and the ambiance was impeccable. We'll definitely return and have already recommended The Oregon Grille to friends and family!
My wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day at the Oregon Grille, one of our favorite special event restaurants. But this year we were very disappointed. The first issue was something strange that appeared in wife's glass of water. The waiter apologized and provided a new glass of water. However, this was minor. What really concerned us was the main course that she ordered: Roasted Norwegian Salmon. When the dish arrived and she cut into the salmon, it was clearly underdone - almost raw inside. We called the waiter who agreed and took the plate back to the kitchen. After a 20 minute wait, during which time I finished my meal, the waiter brought back a new piece of salmon that was properly cooked. However, after returning from the kitchen, he indicated that there were preferences about the way that people liked their salmon cooked. If this was the case, why did he not ask her when he took the order??? I ordered the Seared Local Duck Breast and he told me that the kitchen cooks it medium rare and I asked that it be cooked medium and it was.
We had a similar issue with undercooked salmon when we ate at a good restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. In this case the waiter waiter recommended a piece of flounder in place of the salmon and it was very good. Also - and this is important - the restaurant comped her for the undercooked salmon and the delay in providing the entree. This did not happen at the Oregon Grille where the salmon dish costs $35. I expect that when I eat at a restaurant in the Baltimore area that charges prices at this level that the food will be perfectly cooked. I was very disappointed that the Oregon Grille did not comp us for the dish.
Although, overall the meal and ambience were very good, we expect more from the Oregon Grille and will probably not go back.
