    It was a wonderful dining experience. This was our first visit ao we were unfamiliar with the menu. Our waiter, CJ, suggested excellent menu choices which we thoroughly enjoyed. The She-crab soup was amazing! Our fish entrees were seasoned to perfection.

    Wonderful atmosphere. Fresh locally sourced ingredients, cooked to perfection. Will definitely return when I’m in Atlanta. Service was impeccable.

    Service was terrible. Billed us for 2 bottles of wine when we only purchased 1. They did take it off our bill though.

    Drinks were very slow to come from the bar. Sides arrived ~10 minutes before the mains and were pretty cold by the time the mains arrived. Food tasted great.

    Overall 5/5 loved our experience at The Optimist! We were on a road trip passing through the city and this was our first stop, we couldn’t have made a better choice for dinner! Our waitress Kennedy really gave us a slice of life of Atlanta and the food was phenomenal!

    Kennedy was an amazing server. She had a great personality and was the perfect amount of attentive. The was all delicious. Highly recommend the deviled eggs, smoked fish dip and lobster rolls. And those hush puppies!
