   My wife and I came here for our 2 year anniversary which just so happened to be at The North House. The food was wonderful, especially the butternut squash risotto. The selection of Port on the dessert menu was a welcome surprise and paired nicely with the flourless chocolate cake. Great stuff all around.

   My first visit to this restaurant in spite of it being 10 minutes from my home. Beautiful old inn (actually went here once in a previous iteration for my high school prom MANY years ago). Anyway, we were seated in the back room, which is quieter than the main dining room, they also have event spaces, etc. We were greeted promptly and service was exceptional throughout the evening. I thought the food was generally good, some hits and misses. The rolls were pretty generic but fresh; the whipped ricotta appetizer was also good. They had a nice wine list that we sampled from. My companion had the short ribs which she enjoyed (I tried them, quite good). My strip steak was just OK, it was cooked just to order but generally a little tough and didn't really taste like much, nor did the potatoes or zucchini that came with it. We had the cheesecake for dessert, which was good but not exceptional. So overall great service and atmosphere, but the food was just OK. Since I was not enthusiastic about the steak, they comped the dessert which was a nice gesture.

   What a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary! We sat in a booth that allowed us to converse without repetition. The clam chowder and onion soup were delicious, and our scallops were the best! Service was top-notch. We will return!

   This venue is amazing we look forward to visiting in cold weather to enjoy the fireplace! Food was good not excellent! The Brussel sprouts were amazing! My oysters a bit overwhelmed by fussy seasoning. In general they have gotten sloppy and need to tighten up their kitchen and presentation. Our server was great. My short rib was okay and my husband’s gnocchi were okay . We have found better food in the area at Millwright’s and The Charles.

   Our server Matt was so accommodating, we have a family member with a dairy allergy and he brought out special non-butter brushed rolls for us - so sweet. We had a cozy table in the back dining room, the food was delicious & exceptional - another great experience at The North House!

   Another excellent meal. Felt a tad rushed to keep us moving ( as compared to waitress being attentive) But otherwise great, We are semi-regulars and will continue to be.

   The food was generally delicious from the bread to the main meal. Would highly recommend the pork belly tacos if they have them. They were delicious. Perfect crunch and tangy. I ordered the short rib which was melting on my fork and incredibly good. The desserts were underwhelming for how good everything else was. The rum cake wasn’t a very strong rum flavor if at all and nothing else was particularly outstanding compared to how amazing the food was. The servers are polite, funny and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a high end dining experience for a reasonable price.

    Charming restaurant and tavern. Very creative craft cocktails, delicious food and excellent service! We will be back!
