First time dining here...would have liked some sauce on the cabbage rolls. They had plenty of heaters to keep us warm on the outside patio. The entertainment was fantastic!
Dodi and Kevin Henry are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a great experience. The food and service are great. The live music is awesome! It's a hot spot and the place to be!
Outstanding food wonderful waitresses and waiters absolutely delicious desserts and killer drinks you can’t go wrong with this place
Great food and atmosphere!
The owners make sure you are taken well care of. The Cocktails are well done and the food is a unique menu of European food and very flavorful. You can get a nice quiet table or you can sit near the live music, your choice.
So sad we are closed again. The Nest has done the best job during this difficult time. We will be back when this is over.
We always have an amazing experience and meal at the Nest.
Anytime you get to have an evening out at The Nest it’s always a treat!
Thank you to everyone for your hard work.
Your spirit and energy keeps us always coming back💗
Set up very well with outdoor seating, plexiglass dividers, while nicely lighted and decorated along with very nice live music for an excellent outdoor dining experience with attention to detail.
Lovely patio dining experience with very nice service.
The Nest Is always one of our favorite stops when we visit the Palm Springs area and this time was no different! We went for our 17th year wedding anniversary and Dodi and her staff did not disappoint! Despite the pandemic they were able to make a beautiful outdoor dining area that quite frankly we almost liked better than the indoor dining. The food was as delicious as always! The Nest is a must if you’re visiting Palm Springs area!
Thanksgiving
We wanted to support our favorite desert restaurant for Thanksgiving. The menu choices were excellent and the safety precautions executed in the best possible way. Our family loves The Nest and we are so grateful they remain open. Look forward to returning again very soon.
Excellent food and music as usual. We love this place, Doti is the perfect host/owner! The thanksgiving dinner was incredible, just like home cooking!
Excellent service and delicious food!
A 30th Anniversary ruined- Reservations meant NOTHING.
Reservations made three weeks in advance. A call two days prior to confirm reservations and request a romantic table, emphasizing my 30th. Another call the morning of and was told, "don't worry, we'll have something very nice for you,"
Upon arrival we meet the first idiot- the guy taking guests' temperatures. He takes our temps and then gets distracted with a car that pulls up along the curb asking about table availability for walk-ins. We are on time for our 7PM reservation, but are ignored. It's clear that the highlight of this tall, skinny guy's day is to dress up and be the gatekeeper.
We walk up to idiot #2- the hostess. I give our last name reservation. She's clueless, but after a couple minutes starts walking through the patio while my wife and I stand fast, not sure what to do. She reaches a table and looks back at us and then motions for us. We get to the farthest table, very close to the load and busy road, and I immediately tell her I requested a romantic table. She asks, "aren't you with the party of seven?"
After correcting her, I look across the patio to see the walk-in couple seated at what I would consider the perfect table, very near the two- person band playing. Dodi, the owner, retrieves us from the patio and explains the hostess is new and confused. Yep, agree 100%!
This restaurant resembles a tacky nightclub with all of the black decor and DJ booth. It's a hangout for the obnoxious locals. There is no dress code, as evidenced by what we witnessed. The behavior of many of the guests wouldn't be tolerated in the fine-dining restaurants we frequent. Food is typical, but considerably overpriced to give the impression of fine dining. So many opportunities missed to make this a decent place to gather. Above all, this is NOT a place to celebrate a romantic occasion.
My wife and I made the most of our 30th, but I will always regret my choice of restaurants to celebrate at.
Really enjoyed the food and service. Not happy about how crowded the restaurant was, with COVID issues. We were sat near a large party that shared two tables, and they kept getting up and socializing with each other. Loud, and not caring about smaller parties like my wife and I.
we rarely dine out due to the pandemic. We felt very safe and were able to relax at the nest. We were greeted by a charming young man who took our temperature and were led to an outside table. The tables were separated by plexiglass. We sat on the east side of the restaurant, facing the parking lot. It was quiet and the food, as always delicious. We did get a glimpse of the clown as he walked by on the sidewalk. If we had sat to the front of the restaurant facing 111, we would have enjoyed music as well. We were unsure of what the music decibel level would be and since we wanted to talk with our friends so we sat on the side. This was our second dinner at the Nest in the past two months and both meals were excellent.
My boyfriend and I came in for date night. We were greeted by the owner so pleasantly. She began to seat us at our table that was decorated & said “enjoy date night”. The service was outstanding. Our dinner came out hot & fresh. They have two heated patios that you can enjoy your evening on and live music on both sides. During these trying times, you can tell that the owner takes pride in accommodating all guests & requests and to make sure everyone leaves happy & satisfied like we did!
Had a great time dining at the Nest. With all the craziness going on it was nice to get out and have a great dinner while still being safe. The new music group was amazing, can’t wait for things to get back to normal so we can dance to the music.
Great place to dine during COVID! The Nest has done a great job of adapting to the circumstances. Dinner was delicious.
Loved the food and the special attention to our needs. The owner spent time visiting with us as well!
We had an incredible experience from the staff to the food and the service. Thank you.
Best filet my wife had ever had, and best Kurobuta pork chop I'd ever had. Wonderful service and pleasant patio dining in the desert. We've been coming here for 25 years, and are always pleased.
First time there and was so excited to try it after hearing so many great things. Really disappointed in both the Fillet Mignon and Lamb (both were tough, overcooked and of generally poor quality). Overall the staff was wonderful and ambiance with live music was really off the chart great. So it was a bit of a mixed bag...
Fantastic food & service as always!
Amazing restaurant! Delicious food and unbeatable service
Service was great, food was great
Dodi is amazing! The restaurant is amazing! And the food is delicious!
We ordered the pork and dates. The dates were just ok. The pork was poorly cooked. Flavorless and very very dry. We had it swapped out for the shrimp scampi which ended up being very good.
We have dined at the Nest on several occasions and it was so great to see they have added a patio so we can go there during Covid. We went for the early dining special and everything was wonderful. The food was delicious, the service and ambience were outstanding! The owner Dodi stopped by at our table to make sure things were good. Couldn’t be happier, can’t wait to go again! Love The Nest!
While we miss the lounge, we loved our outdoor seating on the front patio! When the weather is moderate this is very nice. Love the staff and of course the food is divine! We enjoyed our extra dirty martinis, the date/bacon and crispy cauliflower appetizers and of course the main courses! We had quite a selection... the pork, a petite filet, shrimp scampi, ahi tuna and the sole piccata! We were celebrating a birthday and loved the dessert choices.
Had another reasonably enjoyable outing at the Nest this trip. Food was good, not great. The bacon-wrapped date appetizer was a big hit. A little disappointed that the pasta dish I first ordered from the menu was not available, but my second choice was acceptable (chicken parm, which I could get just about anywhere, just as good, probably at half the price). My wife had the double-cut pork chop, which was excellent. No complaints there. We always make the Nest a stop on one of the nights we're in Palm Desert. It's one of my father-in-laws old haunts from way back in the Sinatra (mob) days.
But what deserved the 5-star rating from me this trip was the treatment we received from our server Francis. Not only was he attentive, but extremely calm and engaging, despite the number of tables he was assigned to and the gauntlet he had to navigate in this "new normal" environment. He was the hit of the evening.
One comment I feel I must make, since this happened to us for at least the second time, if not the third, and may very well have happened to you. I suspect it has. When we first arrived at 6:15 for our 6:30 reservation, we were told that to sit at a table that we had asked for, we would have to be done and out of there by no later than 7:30. So, not wanting to rush through dinner on my wife's birthday, we "settled" for a table much further away from where we preferred to be. We might as well have been sitting in the parking lot. As much as I appreciate what restaurants are going through, and how charismatic Dodi can be, if she says to me one more time, "Well, I have to turn tables," I swear I'll turn around and leave.
The irony is that the kitchen was so slow that night, we didn't even finish our meal until 8:30, a little over 2 hours after we were first seated. And it was just the two of us. Not doddling; not deep in conversation ignoring our waiter or our meals. Just a normal night out. And yes, we will return. But will we stay?!
I traveled solo to the desert for some much needed self care and was excited to take myself out for dinner. They sat me 15 minutes late, referred to me as their “single girl”, sat me at a 4-top and then proceeded to remove 2 of the chairs while I was eating. Very disappointed.
Food was excellent. Best escargot I've had in a long time. A bit noisy but normal conversation OK.
Music was very entertaining, food and drinks were great, felt very homemade cooked...
Great variety to the menu to satisfy the entire group.
Very enjoyable meal. Great service! Food was excellent!
Great food and service and patio experience was fabulous!!
Food was fabulous and our evening was made even more special by a fantastic piano player. We were seated outside - but it started to drizzle and Dodi made sure we had a great table under the roof on the side patio. Warmers kept us comfortable! While we started with the crab cakes - two of us had the ahi tuna, husband had pasta and I enjoyed Chicken Piccata. Desert was tough to choose - so we ended up with the Snickers Pie and Bread Pudding. Just YUM! Thank you Dodi for a wonderful dining experience!
