The Nest Ratings and Reviews
The Nest is a Palm Springs classic. It is nice to re-visit from time to time. They have good food and the owners have been personally involved for a very long time. I went with my parents back in the day, and now am dining there with my friends. It is a also well-known as a night time hotspot and gathering place with good entertainment (selected days) and shoulder to shoulder dancing in the bar.
My husband and I went there for a special celebration to the early special dinner. We each had a wedge salad, petal sole picatta, and Pana cotta for desert. All of this only cost $20 and it was delicious! Wr have gone there many times for this special dinner. It's fabulous. Ingredients are high quality and the food is meticulously prepared. Orders must be in by 5:30 p.m. the staff recognized our special celebration in made it very nice for us. I love that we can go dancing afterwards and listen to music. A great place.
The NEST is the perfect place to go for great food and great entertainment. We went for my sisters bachelorette and Dodi took such great care of us. We had a reserved table right near the bar for dinner and also in the bar when we moved on to drinks and dancing. I highly recommend visiting the nest for a great time and great people.
We enjoy this restaurant year round - however, this was the busiest time we have ever been there! Our reservation was honored on a timely basis, the food was great and served also on a timely basis. We did have a table that was along the side windows which was more quiet than most.....but still quite a hub bub of activity! The food and ambience are great, it was just a little too loud this evening! Still would highly recommend this spot - the owners are hands on, lovely and very professional!
Wow, wow, wow!
From start to finish, ours was an amazing experience! Dodi and Kevin go above and beyond to ensure their guests are well cared for.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and I am so thrilled we did. We heard the Nest was great for dinner and dancing and that is an understatement.
Reserving a table and making a special request was super easy on Open Table. We arrived and Dodi ensured we had a lovely booth and the table was decorated with anniversary greetings - quite a nice touch. My husband ordered the petit filet mignon and soup. The soup was amazing and the filet was perfect and accompanied with lovely mashed potatoes. I had eggplant Parmesan and it was perfect. Flavourful with a bit of crunch and not greasy. I also had a Brussel sprout salad to start - yummy. Also, as an accompaniment, I believe it was cauliflower mash, which also was very tasty. With all that and a bottle of Pinot noir, we also had room for a shred dessert, which was a heavenly carrot cake. Much to our surprise they were kind enough to give us our cake to celebrate our anniversary- thank you, what a nice touch.
Service was amazing, attentive and always timely.
Once we were done dinner, we moved to the piano bar area and danced for a few hours. It was great fun.
We will definitely go back again and also make sure that everyone learns of this amazing gem.
Thank you again to Dodi, Kevin and staff for a wonderful experience and for your most amazing dedication. You can see they love what they do. If you have the time, the Nest should be on your list of must visit places in the valley!
The Nest is worthy of Five Stars overall solely on account of its ownership. You won't find more gracious hosts anywhere, and they run their establishment the right way. My guess is that they would do virtually anything for their patrons. All you have to do is ask. Most locals seem content with the quality of the food, which is fine with me. It's the atmosphere that makes all the difference at The Nest. More restaurants should follow this team's example. I look forward to returning.
Waitress was very rude and should remember the rule that the customer comes first. Paid good money for my evening and brought friends for the first time and very disappointed in our waitress. I would not have a person like her working for me and represent my business. Owner was very apologizing and tried to make the situation better. Good food and atmosphere excellent. Just fire the waitress!!!
Good food with good value and a classic environment. But the notable aspect is the live entertainment and active bar scene that makes this a unique environment. Old time food and fun environment rarely seen into days fast casual or traditional find food dining. I classic eclectic mix.
The place was very loud as they had a DJ in `1 room and a Live Band in the other. We were sitting right in the middle of both rooms and service was not good. Needless to say, we ate and left immediately. Though we were going to a Piano Bar/Restaurant not a Night Club.
Food and ambiance was good! We were seated immediately, treated with utmost respect and even gifted with a bottle of wine because our table had to be moved a few inches. We did not care at all but the owner of the Nest wanted to apologize for the inconvenience. A very nice gesture!
Service was very excellent,we had to wait for two of guests and did not feel rushed or pressured. Food was excellent everyone enjoyed their meals. My husband had the pork chop and said it was the best he had and one of our guests had the salmon and was equally impressed. We were there for our son's birthday and he received a piece of cheesecake,he was very excited. After dinner we went to bar and listened to music and did some dancing, had a great time would recommend to all..
We got a reservation for early Thanksgiving Dinner and were shown to a great booth. They had been serving since noon and the place was pretty full. Really great people-watching!
Had a friend k and their great bread and were completely unhurried.
We both had the traditional turkey dinner, which was hot and delicious but there were so many other choices and they all looked great coming out of the kitchen!
Service was very nice, and we enjoyed a bottle of wine that was recommended by the waiter.
Dessert was pumpkin pie which tasted like home made.
The owner Dodi was there with a big fun table of family and she got up from her table each time a new table was seated and greeted them and checked on every tables dinner the entire time we were there.
Very nice touch, especially on a holiday when they would do 500+ covers!
Small but nice note, even the busboys and the valets were remarkably nice!
