I've always wanted to try this place, but its usually busy. So we came on a Sunday evening before a concert. We both had signature drinks, a margarita and a martini. Those were good tasting but not strong. The entrees were both top notch - mahi mahi and lobster nachos. We also had oysters on the half shell as an appetizer and those were excellent. They served them with cocktail sauce, hot pepper sauce, and horse radish. Overall great experience and I highly recommend.
Quaint little place, with good food. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Happy hour is good drinks appetizers food is good key west style
Although the food and service were good, we went for a high end retirement lunch based on the menu on the web. The brunch offered on the website no longer exists and the hours listed were incorrect. We were expecting lobster omelets and crab Benedict but instead had sandwiches. Again, the food was good but the website is misleading and needs updated.
Food is hit or miss - half my party was decent, the other half was awful.
The service was slow. We arrived for our 6:30 PM reservation to a sign that said seat yourself. There weren’t any tables for 4 at the moment. When a booth opened we sat down and the waiter gave us an attitude for sitting before they cleaned the table. We didn’t get our food until 7:30! That’s a long time for a burger and fried fish and chips.
We booked a reservation and when we walked in there was no one to sit us. I asked the waiter and we were told to just sit at the reserved table. He was very welcoming . My first impression that the restaurant was the kind that is purposefully rude. I was not expecting it to be as much of a bar that it was and more of a restaurant. The music was very loud. The guy who sat was our waiter by the end of dinner he was more welcoming . I ordered the cake cakes and they were out of the pretzel bun . The ambiance was cool but the restaurant was not what I expected it to be .
We ordered 2 drinks, crab cake sliders & a lobster roll. The drinks came out right away but the food never came. A little after our drinks came out our server dropped off sharing plates. Then didn’t check in on us, we flagged him down to ask about our food after sitting for 45 minutes. He said there was a “snafoo” & asked if we’d rather cancel our food order. Not sure why that was his first instinct but after a few minutes we decided to. Wish he would have just been honest & say he forgot to put the order in or whatever really happened.
The food and cocktails were very good. Our server was very sweet but service was terrible. We ordered hot crab dip and were told someone was supposed to make it but did not. We waited for over an hour to get our entrees. When we did get our food, they had gotten one of our orders wrong (brought a sandwich instead of a wrap). The restaurant was very loud. The ladies room upstairs had no toilet paper while one of the stalls in the downstairs ladies room had a broken lock. If I did recommend this restaurant, I would say get your food to go.
We had made a reservation, but it was super crowded and we barely got a table. However once we were seated, the server and the food were great!! The Conch fritters and the Mahi Mahi were both wonderful!! The oysters were a hit for my husband!!
Great food, great service, nice little rustic place
Wasn’t impressed with our service. Seemed like our small table of people was overlooked by the big spenders in the same room. I thought my meal was good, my girlfriend was a tad bit upset due to her order not being able to be modified for her. Outside of that the noise was to much. I’d say overall it was ok, nothing to rave about. However it was New Year’s Eve.
No one ever greeted us at the door. The sign says seat yourself but once seated the waitress said no one told her new guests had arrived. We waited 10 minutes to see someone. The food was disgusting- greasy and over cooked. The lowest quality of seafood I’ve ever seen. A fast food restaurant would’ve been much better.
Absolutely the slowest service ever. Waited more than an hour for appetizers. No one else in the place! Crazy. No apology given, simply told there was only one cook. With no one else dining you would have thought that sufficient.
Quick service even though the server warned us the kitchen was behind. Almost all seafood derp fried though.
I hate to give rough reviews because I am a local and want these places to succeed. Got there, mentioned reservation, they said they "don't check opentable' all the time (?). Server was VERY nice. Drinks were generous. Menu looked very good, so we were looking forward to meals. Waited 45 minutes for our appetizers. lobster nachos were good. Waited another nearly 45 minutes for our meals and all were awful. Everything was cold. Almost tasted re-heated. Had an "old oil" taste and way too heavily breaded and overcooked (to the point it was painful to eat it). One in our party got the lobster roll and it was bad too. I can't quite figure out how/why we had to wait so long and none of our entrees were hot. The place just had a vibe that it was failing. Not good on a Saturday night. Bummer....we had high hopes for this location based on location and the menu. Won't be back and doubt they will be in business for too much longer
Unfortunately it was not a good experience. It took an hour after we were seated to get our appetizer. We ordered Conch Fritters and they were so chewy - not edible. They needed to be minced to make them more palatable. After dinner, our dessert did not arrive till and hour later. The best part of the Key Lime pie was the graham cracker crust. It was not crowded so I do not understand the delay. But it did seem like everyone was also experiencing the same long wait.
Always great food... love the lobster nachos... the server was attentive...
Amazing staff. Delicious spicy Bloody Mary's. Tried a bunch of different apps ..crab cakes, lobster nachos, conch fritters, fish tacos...
Everything wasfantastic! We will definitely return next time were in Cleveland.
Loved The Nauti Mermaid! Family was in town & we wanted some good seafood! Food was great! Loved the atmosphere! Waitress was awesome!
Food was fantastic. Service started a bit slow, but then was friendly and excellent.
The food was good but not great. I wanted the fish blackened but they could only do deep fried. Good oysters on the half shell. Great Key Lime pie. The service was adequate but not great. It was REALLY loud. So if you want to talk to your dinner companion pick a different place.
Restaurant failed to mention over half of their menu would be unavailable due to a concert near by. I made reservations and was highly disappointed. I ended up getting shrimp tacos with barely any condiments available. The food was ridiculously over priced for the quality and service.
Immediately sitting down a lady told us she waited an hour and a half to get her food. So we patiently waited 15 minutes and never saw a waitress so we walked out.
We really enjoyed it. Cute nautical decor and loved the lobster nachos.
Father's Day dinner for Walleye/Perch. It was delicious.
Love music out front that was not too loud
Was disappointed. Ordered the Walleye which was good , but all the sides we got like french fires and onion rings were cooked in dirty oil. The side salad was all iceberg lettuce and not very tasty. Was disappointed with the sides and greasiness of the food.
First time visit - wasn’t sure what to expect. The nautical decor and casual atmosphere was nice. Was told they were short staffed in the kitchen - luckily we were not in a hurry. Hot crab dip appetizer was excellent. For the price ($22) - the lobster was good. My wife liked the Nauti pasta minus the spicy sausage. If you want romantic seafood spot - this is not the place - but if you want good seafood at decent prices - Nauti Mermaid works.
The fries came out way overcooked - the oysters were great!
Fun place. Went before Cavs game. Food was great, nice local beer selection on tap. The perch dinner was great and my wife had the lobster which she said was cooked just right and really sweet. Manager came by our table. Nice touch. Service is a little slow but worth it if you are not in a big hurry. Would go back!
Great meal and it was a fun environment ! Would definitely return!
Great food in a casual dive bar atmosphere. Very fun atmosphere & ambiance. Noel treated us with fabulous service. 🍺🍺🍺🍺
This was the second time that I have been to the Nauti Mermaid and I really enjoyed it. The lobster nachos are great! Super fun, little spot for seafood.
Great food, love coming here! Service was a little slow because a fryer broke down, but the staff adjusted well and we had a great meal!
Great Bar! They do not take reservations on St Patrick's Day! Even though Open Table made one for us. The owner found us a table and made sure we stayed happy. The food was great at a very reasonable price!
$22 for a whole lobster on lobster Monday was great! It was the first time my friend and I had ever cracked one open! It was fun and delicious
Had my two favorite foods - King Crab Legs over clams - never had that twosome served before!!
This was a great choice for a birthday celebration!
Food was great but our service was not.
I would still go back. It was s cute little place with really good food.
