I was firstly disappointed at how a male member of staff spoke to my elderly friend who has mobility issues. She needed to sit down however he abruptly said: “If you can wait a minute!” His tone was not appropriate whatsoever. Considering a Sunday roast cost £21 I was very disappointed with taste of this food. It was rather bland to say the least! My friend asked for apple sauce to go with her pork dish and was told there was none left! I would not expect this from an establishment that charges these prices for their meals! Before I paid the bill, no one even asked what we thought of the food! Overall I was very disappointed and I was so looking forward to having a wonderful experience with my friend.

Made a booking and was seated straight away on arrival by a happy friendly member of staff who gave us a couple of minutes to get settled before taking our drinks order and as we couldn't decide what bottle of wine to order, samples to taste some was offered. The food order was taken and we weren't disappointed with our choices of a roast turkey Christmas Dinner. 😋. Would definitely go here again

Beautiful pub, especially at Christmas. Food is good, but could do with a little more finesse. Timothy Taylor’s on tap is a massive bonus! Service was slow but professional, this said it was a very busy Sunday. We enjoyed it!

It was a great night. The only thing is we went for the quiz and unforeseen circumstances, got cancelled at the last minute, so we'll have to go again and enjoy again that amazing burger and eat again that beautiful chocolate mouse. Tough life ☺️

Varied & interesting menu. We shared a couple of starters - "Pressed crispy lamb belly, caramelised cauliflower, caper & raisin puree, mint jus" and "Roast pumpkin salad, vegan Parmesan cream, charred onions, salted seed brittle". Excellent. And shared a dessert "Sticky toffee pudding, butterscotch, maple pecans, clotted cream ice cream". Oustanding. Told the chef who seemed surprised - "most diners don't bother". Come on guys : you thank the folk who wait on you but more thanks are due to those who create what you're eating.

Th y ran out of roast… on a Sunday so didn't get to eat there. Also dogs all over the place and on tables which cannot be sanitary.

Hi Suks, We had only ran out of the roast chicken and the sides of pigs in blankets & cauli cheese. We still had available the roast beef, pork and vegan roast at the time of your booking. Apologies for the inconvenience if you specifically wanted the roast chicken. We are a very dog friendly pub and often do have guests with their dogs on seats. I was not aware of any dogs on tables however if that was the case I assure you we do clean and sanitise all tables between sittings.

Pub quiz was noticeably worse than the normal Tuesday quizzes. And started late, and the music questions were terrible when played through the mike.

Hey guys, fantastic roast as always. Absolutely love spending my Sundays at the Morgan Arms! One bit of feedback - please fix the loo seat and lock in the ladies toilets. Feel like it’s been broken for months and I have been slipping and sliding on the broken seat. Hopefully small easy fixes which will make a big difference to the loo experience. Otherwise keep it up!

A real shame. Booked for an anniversary dinner (having spent many there before) - had to ask to be moved to avoid a huge table of loud/drunk students that had been seated in the restaurant as the bar area was too busy Eventually seated near the toilets just to discover half of the mains unavailable with the excuse being a large event during the day. To have run out of key menu elements by 1830 on a Saturday after a planned event was a complete own goal. A small menu means missing four of the mains really shuts down options - we were stuck buying compromises out of necessity. It’s always been a reasonably expensive pub, but worth it… less so when you have to pick compromises. A really disappointing visit.

Hi Sean, The table you requested was in the bar area which is why there was another large group drinking on the next table. We had a lot of people in to watch the rugby game in the front. Apologies that you had to move to quieter table in the restaurant and that we had sold out of some of the dishes, this was due to being a lot busier than anticipated plus some items did not come in on our delivery. I do hope the food you ordered was enjoyable nonetheless and that you'll give us another chance.

The Halowee'en Dog Show was a wonderful community event. A lovely, relaxed and friendly atmosphere - as usual! The canine fashion parade was hilarious, put smiles on all our faces.

When I booked I noted that I have to eat gluten-free, and that was acknowledged by our waiter. However, to see what was gluten-free on the menu, I was told to scan a barcode on the printed menu then go through all of the menus for all the group's restaurants. This is ridiculously inefficient and very off-putting. I told the waiter it would take too long to do this and he agreed it was a faff. He said that if I saw a dish I liked, he could go and check with the chef about gluten. The simple solution to this would be to print 'gf' against gluten-free dishes on the menu. The vegetarian dishes have a 'v' by them, so why not extend that practice? I have been a Morgan Arms customer for years, and the staff were always great about handling gluten-free requests. But now it seems all the burden is on the customer to negotiate the company menus and the staff apparently haven't been trained to handle this fairly common dilemma. I don't think I'll go back there to eat again unless I hear the policy has been changes and the service improved.

We cannot list GF on our menus as our ingredients are always updating, our allergen system is a live system that links with our supply chain to keep our guests safe. We fully appreciate it could be easier to navigate and this is something that is being addressed. The easiest way is to choose a few dishes you like from our menu, then search these with your allergen selected. This will tell you if the dish is safe for you.

On the whole a nice dining experience. I ordered the Rump Steak, not cheap. I asked if it can with a sauce, ie. Pepper sauce. The waiter asked the chef. The waiter came back and said no sauce. I can tell you the meal is really really dry and certainly does need a sauce. Please, Mr Chef try actually eating this meal before you say it doesn't come with a sauce.

We were going to the Abba Arena, and searched for somewhere nearby that offered something a little different and was quality. We were not disappointed. Everything was amazing, and the Sausage rolls to die for.

I had roast chicken and trimmings. Stuffing was nasty fatty disc of soggy stuff. Carrots inedible - they tasted fermented. My husband's roast lamb was very overcooked and dried up. We wont be coming back
