    With two visits over two days, we can honestly say that the Mooring was an enjoyable experience. The team there is incredibly friendly. The food is fresh and delicious , and the ambience is warm and inviting. The clam chowder is killer and they have a nice assortment of raw bar options.  A nice curated assortment of handhelds and entrées without creating a menu that’s overwhelming. With an extensive list of cocktails and wine selections, we enjoyed ourselves! Also, the owner/managed surprised us on our way out! Never before have we been that surprised and such a nice gesture from The Mooring.  Needless to say will return on our next visit to Newport. (A special thanks to Lisa who was so friendly to us on both visits.)

    Professional and attentive service by the waiter, and two managers who introduced themselves. Overall, a great experience right on the water in Newport.

    Loved our experience with kids at the Mooring. Everything was just perfectly awesome! The view, ambiance, service and food where all top notch! Definitely recommended! Keep it up, guys!!

    Wonderful meal and service by Kay. Nice red sangria and Amoro Blvd (which is a new favorite) Crab cakes and scallop chowder were delicious. Crab cakes with true “lump” meat. Pasta with scallops and shrimp with spice toned down a bit was perfect for my husband. I had scallops which were delicious altho honestly I prefer the preparation last summer without the curry flavors. I did not read the details well enough before ordering. Scoop of blood orange sorbet and mocha chip gelato rounded out an outstanding meal

    I had a wonderful dinner at The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar in Newport, RI. Despite my shellfish allergy, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensured my food was safe. Special thanks to manager Alex, who was stellar, and to Jessica, our server, who was very helpful and attentive throughout the meal. Their care and professionalism made our first night in Newport truly special. Highly recommend this restaurant for both seafood lovers and those with dietary restrictions!
