One would be hard pressed to enjoy a better meal in any of the restaurants in Hershey. From quality of food to fantastic waitstaff, The Mill is a step above.

I made a reservation for through open table, and it was confirmed by phone immediately. Upon arrival, we walked the steps to the main entrance with an elderly member of our party (90+). If you have anyone with mobility issues, they do have a downstairs entrance but you do have to walk through the first floor bar area and to the rear to access the elevator to access the second floor check in at the hostess stand. From the hostess stand, we were told our table was not ready for our reservation. There was no one else in the restaurant at this time, and we were on time for our reservation. We were told to be seated in the entryway, and we did. Shortly after, the hostess came over and said “your table isn’t ready, but we will move you downstairs.” We then explained that we have someone who has difficulty walking (an elderly family member over 90), and that we are fine to wait for an upstairs table. The hostess then said, “well if you want excellent service, than you will take a table downstairs.” We took this to imply that the service upstairs would not be very good, so we asked if there was another way down other than the stairs. They took us to a service elevator near the kitchen, and we were taken to the first floor. Again, there was no one in the restaurant.

The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. It’s a historical landmark, and it shows. The food was also good, locally sourced, and the portion sizes are generous. However, their staff could favor to learn some basic customer service skills. We were simply frustrated with the behavior and attitude of the staff, and we most likely will not return in the future.

We were there for Father's Day brunch. It was a forgettable experience, unfortunately. The server was very nice, but very inattentive. We went long stretches without seeing her at all. The food was not great either, unfortunately. Not hot and seemed to take forever.

We love the atmosphere of The Mill and go there often for drinks. But the Father's Day lunch was lacking.

Best date night in a long time. Food and service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back. Sangria was outstanding! Charred brussel sprouts, baked Brie, Crispy skin salmon, smoked brisket, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch bread pudding all perfect!

We eat at the Mill fairly regularly. Always impressed with the creativity of the menu on the quality of the drinks. Service is great. It’s a little noisy but that does not interfere with dinner. The roasted brussels sprouts appetizer was amazing but it’s huge. If you get it, plan on sharing it with someone. But it’s terrific. A great place to dine.

Sat outside- noisy trains!
Had scallops with corn and cauliflower puree - scallops great, puree not.
Ok dining but nothing special.

Simple converted barn atmosphere with good food and lots of it. The brisket, crab cakes and brussel sprouts were the biggest hits. The 'hot chicken' was not a fan favorite.

Charcuterie board came without crackers or bread. Cauliflower steak was tasteless....my spicy chicken was ok...Menu seems uninspired.

Food was fantastic. Great selection, whether you're meat & potatoes comfort food, or prefer more refined dining. We sat outside on the patio as it was a very pleasant evening. Entire staff, from hostess to busboy, to waitress were extremely friendly..made me feel like they appreciated we were there. Generous portions, well prepared, very tasty. Cocktail menu was great as well. Absolutely nothing but an overall excellent experience.

We were excited to find The Mill during our recent visit to Hershey. The servers could not have been friendlier or more attentive, the food was fresh & well-prepared, and the historic structure is a great setting for a meal. They also have a good selection of wines and beers. We will return the next time we are in the Hershey area.

The Mill has an excellent brisket panini with fries offering that is outstanding. Although not back fun meat, their crab cake is well-seasoned.

The appetizers were very good but we were disappointed in the entrees. The Ramen noodle was especially disappointing - very salty with to much stock and the egg was overcooked. The duck entree was undercooked. Our server was very sweet but overly attentive. We do not appreciate being asked every ten minutes if everything is to our liking. Obviously if it were not, we would have told them so.

Waited 30 minutes before the waitress came to see us, waited an hour before we got our food, then waited another 30 minutes to get our check. Service was really slow. They brought out our bread about 45 minutes into waiting for our main meal which did not make sense to me, at that point I wanted to get out of there. No amount of bread was going to make up for the ridiculous wait times.

Seemed to be an unfortunate night. Server seemed overwhelmed so service lacked, kitchen ran out of menu choices (really?) early on a Saturday night and we were seated next to an upstairs bar area where many fans of the live musician were gathered so a noisy experience as well. And honestly I thought it was a tad pricey for the Food they served.

The Mill is great. One part upper end restaurant. One part local eatery. Amazing blend of both.

My only gripe is that the seafood special was chilled. It was very good, but had I been told before hand I would have made a different selection.

We enjoyed our meal. Our server was very sweet and on top of everything. The only negative I would voice is the homemade lemonade, while it was delicious, I think .99 for a refill is exaggerated.
