The food was great and something that tends to be lacking in other restaurants is friendly staff but honestly everyone there is super friendly and nice. It’s a bit expensive but that’s not a negative I went there knowing that. Great place to eat and have a nice date night
I have rarely ever even commented to a server regarding my food or the service but we did tell our server that my wife's food was luke warm[she likes her food hot] and my meal was cold. the plate was not even warm. When we told the server she gave us some excuse, at the very least we expected the manager to come out and give us an apology...nope, did not happen.
My husband celebrated his birthday at The Mill. We both had brunch items that were terrific, including an omelet and quiche. Rachel was an excellent server.
All in all, The Mill was a very good place to eat. Although there was an error made by the kitchen on how I wanted something prepared, as soon as it was pointed out the error was corrected with no harm done.
Food was delicious. Wife was disappointed she only got 3 scallops for $32.
Fantastic atmosphere, yummy drinks, decent food, and sloooooooow service. I recommend The Mill if you like sparse service. Get the lavender vodka elderflower drink - very yummy - and order two at a time so you’ll have a drink to sip on until you see your server at the next 45 minute interval.
Great place to enjoy an evening. Our server Chad was outstanding
We ate here 2 summers ago on a trip from DC to Hershey Park. My son loved his burger so much that he has asked to go back several times. We finally made it back and the burger lived up to its iconic status. My salad also was really good.
Our server accommodated a table change with grace...I think his name was Ryan, and he was very attentive...but the noise from the multiple tables of families with children was WAY TOO LOUD!! We could not talk except next to your table mate. Great food and wine...but sadly, the noise level was very hard to take.
Matthrw, our server, couldn't have been more accommodating. He was excellent in knowledge of food & cocktails.
Food was delicious.
We had the crab cakes and the salmon. Both were quite delicious. I recommend hands down. The only negative was that we had to ask for bread with our dinner. And the bread was also very good.
Food was okay but not worth the price. Small piece of fish over tasteless rubbery couscous all stuck together. Oysters were good. We hardly saw our waiter and no manager circulating. Very underwhelmed.
Everything we ordered from beer to appetizer to entree was out. The waitress would laugh every time she had to tell us they were out of this or that. Even the beer I was drinking they had one bottle? Poor job by the kitchen informing the waitstaff of things running out or running low on. The hummus dip was terrible!
Service was great, food delicious and atmosphere nice!
Started at the bar where the beer and wine selection was quite good. Great conversations with the young lady tending bar and several other guests. Enjoyed the House Bacon appetizer before we moved to a table for dinner. Both entrees were very tasty. My wife had the brisket which was tender and moist and the mac and cheese was outstanding. My seared Halibut was done perfectly. For dessert we tried the bread pudding and it was delicious. Looking forward to the next chance to eat here. Highly recommended.
Great drinks and tasty entrees. Good service
Such a great find and stop on our road trip. A lovely rustic farmhouse chic restaurant with friendly staff and yummy food!
Took a little longer for waitress to come to our table when we arrived but she did apologize and was very pleasant.
I had the brisket and it was spectacular, melt-in-your-mouth tender! My son had the pasta special — penne pasta with grilled chicken breast and the sauce was slightly spicy and made with butternut squash and I believe roasted red peppers. It was sooooo good!
Great food! The service was beyond good!!! We have told everyone if they travel to Hershey they MUST go here!
We had an absolutely lovely meal here.
Our Bed & Breakfast even gave us a 10% discount, but we found out about that AFTER we'd already made the Open Table reservation!
We went on to recommend The Mill to a couple staying in our B&B celebrating their anniversary as a "must go!" We think they went!!!
Glad we did.
We ate at The Mill on July 3, 2018. I had the sea scallops with corn risotto. The sea scallops were perfectly cooked and the risotto was delicious. My husband had the brisket. He loved it. Couldn't stop talking about how delicious the brisket was. We had wonderful service. A very enjoyable meal and great service overall. We would definitely go back again.
The mill was a pleasant surprise! The ambiance was very welcoming. The food was very good! My husband enjoyed the crab cakes, and calamari. Our son said his steak was cooked and seasoned well, and I enjoyed the brisket I ordered. Our drinks were yummy too! Overall, this was a very good dining experience. If we are in the area agin we will consider coming back!
Great food and good ambience (although very loud) but the prices are way above market.
we were in Hershey for a few days and this restaurant hit the spot with good food after eating in Park all day. I had the Salmon and my husband had the scallops. Both very good. They have a good kid's menu too.
Great food! Enough options to satisfy everyone. Kids were happy. Ambiance was great.
Great restaurant with excellent food
Like the downstairs the best. Very cozy.
Great meal and great service
Excellent all around, definitely will come back next time in Hershey!
Amazing! Food, drinks, and atmosphere all great.
This was our first time at the Mill. The food was delicious & we loved the rustic atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
Honestly the service was not quite as good this time as we have had in the past. We felt our server did not check back with us quite often enough. I would like to express our appreciation though for the hostess staff on both the ground level and 2nd floor! My aunt has difficulty doing steps and so entered at the ground level to come up in the elevator. The hostess down there brought them up and directed her and my uncle to the table. Meanwhile the hostess on our level assured us that they were being taken care of. We thought the way they handled that was outstanding.
We have been to the mill many times and had good experiences in the past. However, our most recent visit was very disappointing. The bottle of wine that we ordered came with a twist-off cap which just seemed pretty tacky for an expensive restaurant. We both ordered filet mignon and both were overcooked. I specifically ordered mine medium rare and it was delivered and announced to me as medium well, which it was. I didn't complain because I didn't want to wait 15 minutes to eat while my wife ate hers. The mashed potatoes and asparagus for both of our meals were lukewarm. The mashed potatoes were not their normal moist and delicious state. I have a feeling they were left over from the previous night. Including the two cocktails and one bottle of wine and tip, it cost us almost $185 for a very disappointing experience.
Very neat building. Love the first floor. Way to overpriced for the quality of the food. Burger a bit overdone, mozzarella in caprese not good fresh mozzarella- too hard. Soup and scallops with risotto ok but not great - certainly can’t justify the price. Service ok,, not extraordinary. Unfortunate- we want to like this place but after 2 visits we probably won’t return.
Good #craftbeer selection. Good wine selection. Brisket was wonderful. Filet was perfect!
Eaten here many times. Always good quality food and fun. Love the old brick walls and wood interior and the patio is great on a wRm evening
Wonderful food, truly enjoyed the specials suggested by our excellent server.
Portions were small. My wife only got three scallops for $35.
Burgers are delicious. AIMEE our server was outstanding!
The food is overpriced and not very good. I ordered the “house made” mozzarella . The cheese was obviously mass produced and tasteless. The tomatoes were not ripe and had no flavor and the dish was over $10. I do not recommend
