We waited an hour for our food from the time we ordered til it came. The waitress didn’t even acknowledge that we were waiting a long time, and then one of the meals was cold. Everything else was fine
I was certainly not impressed with the food. I have gotten much better and at a more reasonable cost. Our waitress was outstanding.
The Mill came highly recommended and the food did not disappoint meal was amazing and appetizers did not disappoint!! Server was extremely friendly and kept contact with us the entire night you can tell she is a master of her craft! Downfall of the entire evening is the use of the entire room, it was not a very busy night and the main room had less then half the tables filled however every patron in the restaurant was sitting on top of one another when they easily could have had us all spaced out. The people seated next to us had the same complaint being within a foot or two of our table we talked and they felt it was uncalled for. It was suppose to be a romantic date night and it was somewhat ruined because we shared conversations with 3 other couples because we sat so close!!
Lunch was excellent. Can't comment on many of the above. Our visit was an installment of a monthly occasion for cousins to meet and chat, so we appreciated the great food and the quietness. One of our number is deaf, so a noisy environment makes conversation difficult. Everything about The Mill was just right. We'll be back!
Had a great dining experience. Food was amazing. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend
Good food, drinks, and a nice atmosphere. Enjoyed date night with the wife there.
Cocktail was delicious - cinnamon apple mule. So good. I had to send my steak back - I ordered it medium rare, it was overdone to at least medium well. But they were apologetic and quick about making it right.
I hesitated to write this review, but after a week I am still angry. We had reservations for Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. There were 4 of us and our first time there. I had been called twice to confirm and they knew both of those facts. We were seated upstairs in a small room off of the main dining area and bar. After we had been there about 15 min the area started to clear out and staff began moving tables. In the end it was us, one couple and a 30 person surprise birthday party in this room. I’m still seething. Who would do this to other patrons? They obviously don’t care. They seem to have more than enough business. But they won’t have mine.
Food was excellent but it took a relatively long time to get it. Our appetizers came quick but then we waited almost 45 min for our entree’s.
It was our first time there and our anniversary weekend. We had asked for the best romantic seats in the house and we were sat directly next to another couple also celebrating their anniversary. It literally felt like a party of four sharing a corner with people walking up the stairs directly into our table. I was also handed a birthday card with signatures- which confused me at first but was overall a nice gesture. Our server was extremely kind and made us feel comfortable. We found ourselves talking quieter than usual because of how close we were to the other couple. It almost felt intrusive to be able hear their conversation and our tables felt small and cramped. My boyfriend absolutely enjoyed his crispy duck and I had the pork tenderloin, which was also a great dish! Our cocktails were 100% delicious and reasonably priced! The staff in general were very pleasant and we would certainly go back, probably not for an anniversary.
This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. The Charred Brussels Sprouts and Turkey Burger were outstanding. Wish The Mill was in my town of West Chester so I could frequent the restaurant. Matt, our server, did an outstanding job.
Nice business lunch. Excaellent and very accommodating waiter.
A bit overpriced. Hit or miss on selection, and the food was poorly prepared. Got a NY strip steak, it was tough and charred. Medium rare, all I could taste was burnt meat. Not sure if it was seasoned at all. A bit of salt and pepper made it ok, but for $35 I expected more. Ordered a pork belly appetizer, one strip was pure fat, no meat.
Way too expensive for scallops dinner for only 4 scallops served. Steak dinner was very small for $ charged
Awesome food and drinks! Will be back!!
Celebrated our anniversary there and the special touches were incredible- from the card signed by the staff to seating us upstairs to have more privacy, we enjoyed our time together! Thanks to everyone for making us feel special, especially our server Katie .
Had lunch with another couple and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Enjoyed it very much! Surroundings very clean, service great, menu varied and interesting—food was delicious!
The restaurant is older than I usually prefer but everything else made up for it. Great restaurant.
We eat here a few times a year and have never been disappointed in the good. Cocktails are excellent and the atmosphere is relaxing. Great service, as well.
Not many Gluten free options. Menu could have been more extensive. Garlic bread was hard as a rock.
It was very good food, great service and an awesome environment.
Fun renovated mill in a fun chocolate town with more ambiance than most of the local competition; now they need to work on adding enough chocolate to the dessert menu to keep up with their neighbors. Food was high quality standard fare and the servings were very generous.
Have noticed The Mill come up on several sites as recommended restaurant for a while, but being a several miles away had not made the effort to try it. Acquired tickets for event at Hershey Theatre, so it made sense to work it into the evening. Great curb appeal. Very interesting ambiance upon entering. I suggest the check-in station be moved away from the main entrance as it immediately became a choke point as people entering the building had to fight through the line for the check-in station in order to enter. We were quickly greeted and seated. Interior decorating is very consistent with the overall theme. Minimal wall coverings took a little getting used to. Rather stark feel. Surprisingly quiet considering we were surrounded by mostly bare walls. Waitress was quick to greet us and offer drinks. Provided cucumber water which my wife now is making herself at home. Waitress gave us the proper time to review the menu before we placed our order. We went with her suggestion of the smoked pork belly appetizer. Interesting and excellent. Seemed like it took a long time for the appetizer to come to the table. Entrees took a really long time. Place was busy on a Friday night - I get it. Wife's crab cakes were good and well presented. Generous portion. My sea scallops were very good, paired with unusual pumpkin puree that worked quite well. Also generous portion. We got the proper attention from the waitress. Overall, a very nice experience. We will definitely give it another go in the future.
Great food, attentive server.
celebrate our daughter last 16th Birthday.
Great service and food, the only regret is not many vegan choices.
The food was fantastic and so was the service. The brisket was to die for as it was smoked in house. A great selection of beer, wine, and creative cocktails to chose from. Not overly expensive for a very nice restaurant. I highly recommend it.
We have always enjoyed The Mill for special occasions and sometimes before a Bears game. I was especially pleased with the accommodating service we received on Friday as one member of our party is temporarily disabled due to surgery and has to use a knee scooter and keep her foot elevated. They could not have done anything better for us.
Meals were good. The only complaint is the green beans. They were grey and mushy. Looked like leftovers from the night before. Server gladly replaced them broccolini...much fresher!
This review is for dinner. We made a reservation through OpenTable. We were greeted and promptly seated upstairs were there were several groups, but the noise level was fine. The duck and scallops dishes we ordered were delicious and very appropriate for the season! The focaccia bread served before our entrees arrived was also delicious. Our servers were helpful and attentive. Because we were going to an event, we didn’t take time for dessert, but we have in the past and they are excellent! We have enjoyed dining here on multiple occasions! We absolutely recommend for dinner/a date, but we do not recommend for later evening drinks (we returned for drinks after the show and the restaurant seemed to be closing earlier than noted on their website. Maybe that was a fluke. We’d suggest calling if you are going later than normal dinner hours.)
Met with a friend I haven't talked to in 16 years and the night was perfect. Our server Ryan was an excellent touch
We were Hershey on business and The Mill was recommended to us. We were glad we went and would go again if we were to find ourselves in Hershey again.
We’ll be sure to go back again soon!
Loved the food here! Celebrated an anniversary with the Mill's Mushroom Bolagnase and Brisket meals. They were awesome!!! The ambiance was very nice and our server was great too!! Will definitely go back!
We had a small reunion of friends. Food was fantastic and our waiter knocked it out of the park
We very much enjoyed our early dinner before the concert. Great menu choices and the food was delicious!
Party of five. We all enjoyed our meals.
The food was the price of fine dining, but food quality and service were that of a fast casual place.
