Our server went above and beyond to make our evening special. The food was cooked perfectly and our reserved table was ready when we arrived. Couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Thank you !!
Forget the other steak houses, this is the place to be
Food was mostly great but the service was subpar for the price. Wish our experience was kore personalized.
As always consistent high quality food and service.
Valentine’s Day and birthday
Enjoyed Valentine's Day lunch with my wife. Food was delicious.
Metropolitan Grill is consistently a favorite of ours for SPECIAL Occasions.
Best experience ever!!! I will be back for sure. Thank you
Swanky place with excellent steaks and attentive service. Wagyu Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection - nicely seared and full of flavor. The brussle sprouts tasted well and the Metropolitan Cabarnet proved to be a great pairing. Can't wait to go back.
Thank you for making out 30th Wedding Anniversary special.....
We love the Met for a special dinner out. The service and dependable quality of the food have kept us coming for years. However, we make it a once a year outing because the expense is so great for a single meal. We love cooking and can come close to, if not match, the same quality at home. We go for the experience, and are never disappointed in that.
Great food and great staff!! If your low carb this is the best steak house.
Very pricey restaurant but definitely worth it to impress for that special occasion. Stunning encyclopedia of a wine list with the most expensive wines I've ever seen. White-coat, trained servers that gave us good wine recommendation and made sure it was within the budget we were comfortable with. Friendly and very accommodating service. Steaks were all perfectly done. Petit filets were perfect and I could tell the difference between the sirloin and Wagyu. Plating was done nicely as well. One side comes with main meat entree. Both garlic mashed potatoes and roast veggies done very well. Nothing too salty or overcooked. Comfy booth seating. Showstopping (but tad too sweet) desserts. Easy street parking on Sunday dinner. Easy reserving the table.
Overall the experience at The Met is always nice. This time though it seemed we had a slow/inexperienced waiter.
We had to ask multiple times for normal service items (Like sour cream/onions for our baked potato, bread for the table)
Also, there was plenty of wait time between courses. We wanted to order dessert, however we waited about 15 minutes after we were done eating our main courses to even receive our dessert menus. Then we had to wait to order the dessert.
Finally, when our left overs were packaged, we usually get a bag to take them home- instead we just received the boxes without bags.
Food was still good, although my steak seemed more on the medium than the medium rare side. I give this a pass because you should speak up if you don't like it the way it was served. I decided it wasn't over-cooked enough to make a big stink about it and therefore, it was on me.
People choose restaurants like this not just for the food, but the overall consistency in service, presentation, food, experience. From that baseline, i would say this was a less than average experience when i compare it to the many times i've come before.
What Steak House runs out of ribeyes at 6:45pm. Really? Substitute New York Strips were a B+ not an A, which the pricing should have commanded.
