We had late revs at 8:15 which we were seated 20 mins late. Then we waited 25 mins for our sever which we had to get up and ask for a sever. Seems lack of sever communication. Food was good but seems to be high prices not a lot of value.

Once we had our sever Nick he was great which he stepped up per another sever was supposed to seve us but left or never showed up...

The service attitude was great. The wait between courses was a bit long. Took us about 3 hours to go through the meal.

We have been going here for over 10 years. It has been on a decline since the day we started coming. They have totally let the place go.

The service was very slow despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Our waitresss was very nice and personable, but it took a long time to get drinks and each course. While the food is good, the prices are very high considering we’re doing the cooking! All the kitchen needs to do is prep the food.
While we had fun because it was a different restaurant experience for my daughter’s birthday, we won’t be returning due to the poor value and slow service.

Food is delicious. You can’t go wrong with any of the cheese fondues. The steak and lobster is amazing. And finish off with the original chocolate fondue if you still have room! Usually takes me about 2-2.5 hours for all 4 courses so plan to go on the earlier side.

RIP OFF!!! That about sums it up about the whole experience. Our party of 6 was seated in a gloomy room with no windows. We were the only ones there, and the whole restaurant seemed dismal, dark, and dirty. First off = DIRTY silverware on 4 out of 6 place settings. I mean CRUD stuck to the knives and forks. Our server brought replacements, and THEY WERE ALSO DIRTY! Not a good start. The menu itself is complicated, and he explained how it all works. He spoke very fast, and we were still confused when he finished his speech. So, ok, bring on the "food", then! There were three strapping men at the table who were hungry, and celebrating to be done! We ordered cheese fondue, meat, and chocolate. We were brought small plates with tiny portions of food to put into the fondue pot. Same with the miniscule bits of sauce we were presented to enhance the cooked food. The bread and fruits were ok, although there was not enough cheese in the pots and so we ran out. Re the main course, speaking only for what my husband and I ordered ... On our tiny plate was -- and this was a dinner for two -- two shrimp, two small lobster tails, two pot stickers, two small pieces of chicken, two small pieces of pork, two small pieces of fillet. So each of us got to eat one piece of each meat, yay! This is a meal? Dessert chocolate was ok, but, again, there was not enough chocolate in the pots so we were scraping to get some on our pieces of cake.

There are WAY better ways to spend upwards of $50 per person, and you'll get filled up in the process. Even a bird wouldn't get filled up. I cannot believe, either, that this concept is pushed on their website as romantic and special. There is nothing romantic in sitting in a dismal room, cooking your own food and worrying about cross-contamination from raw juices, with everyone saying "yum yum", pretending that they like it so as not to be a downer, but all the while thinking, "Where's the nearest McDonalds?"

Went for my 6th anniversary and was really disappointed. Our table was really small, our waitress was letting dishes pile up, and we paid over $100 for two entrees that were really 18 bites of food. Just a very disappointing night out and would not want anyone to pay that price point and be as disappointed as I am.

Definitely an experience worth trying out at least once in your lifetime. Was surprised at the lack of customers around early dinner time as the restaurant didn't start to get busy until about 7.

Made reservations a week in advance. Walked in to no hostess, but a pile of french frys on a napkin at the hostess stand. After waiting for a few minutes, I walked around to find a server/busser and ask for a hostess. He chuckled, looked us up, and sat us in a tiny dirty booth. I decided to move my family to a larger table. 8 minutes later a waitress came, did not say "hello", or "welcome", simply said "so you moved" never said her name, or told us how this dining experience worked. Took 8 more minutes to bring us waters, at which she asked us what cheese do we want. I then asked her to tell us how this place works. We ordered, in total it took 45 minutes to get our 1st course! We asked her to if she could speed up things, almost 3 hours we spent in that place, on a Tuesday, starting at 2:30 in the afternoon, not busy AT ALL. Plus we were in a section with 3 un bussed tables. For the amount of time and money we spent, we left hungry & not impressed AT ALL. Total disappointment, I had to remind the server we were here for a birthday....she didn't even check the reservation. UGH my daughter so looked forward to this evening Also, at no time did a manager appear, walk by, stop at table, not sure if they even came in that day.

We felt that the Melting Pot has gone downhill since our last visit. The food was good, but we had many complaints.
1. The booth had wires hanging underneath which made it uncomfortable to sit.
2. The waiter did not visit frequently, it took almost 3 hours to complete our meal.
3. We ordered drinks, and when they arrived the glasses were half full and my stem was sticky. I asked why the glasses were half full, but the waiter shrugged it off.
4. The portion sizes were small. We ordered the same amount of food that we have in the past, but we felt like it was not enough to satisfy.
5. The restaurant uses the bathrooms in the hallway of the building, which is fine, but they were very dirty and there were only 2 stalls in the woman's room.
Overall we did not have a good time. The meal was very expensive for 6 people, but it did not seem like a special occasion. We have gone to this restaurant many times in the past to celebrate occasions, but I don't think we will be doing that in the future.

The melting pot used to be a very nice and pleasant restaurant. But this visit was very different from what I'm used to. The menu is very split up and ala carte feeling. The service took a very long time for every single thing. The servers were very sloppily dressed and were not very professional. Just seems that melting pot is going downhill. It's a shame because it used to be fantastic.

Night started off rough as the hostess did not seem to want to be there as she was not very welcoming. Waitress started out great for first two courses but was non existent after that. Never came to check during the actual entree or dessert to see how we were doing or to fill our water glasses. We ordered a wine flight but the glasses came after each course. The boiling pot of broth was left on our table for a considerable time after all of the food plates had already been cleared. The food was good with the best part being the dessert. The specialty drinks were also very good. Waitress slipped our check on the table and we never saw her again as someone else picked it up. It was very odd. We have been there in the past but the quality does not seem as good as before especially for the cost.

Very inconvenient to access during construction. A shame there is no Novi area location any longer, Troy is just too far so we barely ever go now. Did the lunch and all the fondue was delicious just as I remember. Was impressed with the California salad, very yummy.

The Melting Pot was yummy as usual. We went to celebrate my daughter's college graduation for the chocolate fondue only so I am only able to review that this time. As our server said, "how can you go wrong with dipping stuff in chocolate". The service was good. The table and floor around our table was not clean. We went later in the evening and it was obvious that maybe children had been there before us. Other than that it was a great experience. Valet parking was a plus due to the cold weather.

Been to the melting pot every year for our anniversary. Usually, hands down the best place to celebrate. They usually bring out a glass of champagne, and strawberries on a little plate with "happy anniversary" and the waiter will take a picture. Also not noisy with our private (ish) little booth. This year however we did not recieve any of this. We felt rushed towards the end and our choclate was not warm, and seemed like it wasnt full. It was noisy and the people next to us though it woukd be a good idea yo blare lion king.. (no one said anytying.) Unfourtantly, this was not our best experince. Might consider trying something new next year.

We tried the four course meal it had multiple options and we really enjoyed the food and the experience. Cooking your own meat was unexpected as we thought it would have been prepared for us and we could just dip it. This is not a quick dinning option, but we will be going back and will be recommending to family and friends.

The waitstaff didn't seem to know who was covering which table in our section. There was another table that up and left due to the length of time and no server!! the next table to sit there also had a mix up again, with the waitstaff!
There was a HAIR in my birthday desert plate, and the waitress just said 'oh, sorry' and that was it!! the Chocolate covered strawberries that I received for my birthday special were the size of a large pea, and very green!! totally unappetizing!!
Overall, very disappointing considering we paid over $110 for only 2 people with no alcoholic drinks!!

Our server was great, food was par. I would recommend sticking with the cheese and the desert. Go here for snacks rather than a romantic meal. For a similar price you can eat Ruth's Chris. I think the choice for my next big occassion is obvious.
