    Server wasn’t the best. Didn’t explain the experience, made numerous mistakes and then disappeared. Wasn’t worth the effort to track her down. She insisted that we pass each other our food and drinks and only stayed at the corner of the table. Called to notify them we would be slightly late and the gal that answered seemed irritated that I called. Food was great even if we didn’t know what we were eating haha Recommend for happy hour, but nothing more.

    Honestly the first time we went was much better. We had a reservation and did sit down within 10 minutes of that time. They were busy so it took a bit to get our drinks maybe 15-20 minutes. The server did let us know the bar was backed up. The salads came out shortly after and the cheese was started when we had almost finished it. It took about 40 minutes after sitting to get the cheese started. The meat course came out about 15 minutes after the cheese course finished so not too terribly long. The server must have been busy, drink refills were very slow for both alcohol and water. The chocolate course was another 20 minute wait after finishing the meat course. All in all the options we choose for courses were not nearly as good. Our first visit we went for a standard cheese and broth and the turtle chocolate, all were phenomenal. This time we had the new hot honey alpine cheese and the MOJO broth with the bourbon chocolate. The MOJO went good with some things but did not go well with others. the chocolate didn't taste like it had bourbon flavor so it was just chocolate. The breads on the cheese course were all kinda stale. While sitting after our meal, 3 different people came by to collect plates including one gentleman who grabbed my water glass before asking. The price is exorbitant considering what you are getting. None of the food for the cheese course it high end (bread and cheap veggies) the meat course is pretty well priced and the chocolate course is about partially mass produced stuff (marshmallows, and rice Crispy treats) with maybe half a banana and 2 strawberries of fresh fruit. Definitely would prefer to pay these prices for a meal I can't easily replicate at home. I can make most of this myself and will likely do so in the future. It was a fun experience but not worth the price.

    This was such a lovely experience. We sat in dining room and ordered the four course meal. Our server was so welcoming and charming, i think her name was Abby or Ally? She made sure we had a fabulous time and made our anniversary special We even had a manager come by and he gave us a discount for the amount of years we’ve been married! The food was good, but the service was even better’ thanks Dabin and Ally!

    The food was fine but it was hella expensive for an "experience" that was meh at best. Took my bf for a fancy birthday dinner and I gotta say it was disappointing. There are way better options at this price point, heck you could probably make this at home for WAY less. Definitely wouldn't recommend or return.

    Worst experience we have ever had at the melting pot. Food quality and portions were terrible. Table next to us was so loud we couldn’t even have a conversation.

    We went to the Melting Pot in hopes of a new experience in dining. The service was good and the server very helpful. The food was of poor quality and had very little flavor. As far as value, they get a -2. The meal was expensive and the servings were sparse. We will not be returning, honestly I find it hard to believe they have repeat customers.

    We love fondue and have always enjoyed the experience at The Melting Pot. It is definitely a special occasion destination. Unfortunately this visit had unusually wonky service. That said, we still had a great time and will be back.

    This is a VERY expensive restaurant, but it is worth it for special occasions. I have avoided going in the past due to the 4% surcharge they add which they claim is due to the increase of minimum wage in Tacoma. Their prices have increased, and I think it's nonsense that they have to tack on 4% to help with their overhead due to wage increase, as they claim. when it's likely already 70% overpriced. We finally went again due to pressure from the wife :) but I will usually try to find an alternative on principle. Once I get past that though, the service, food, and atmosphere are really good, and I'd encourage people to try it out.

    This was our first experience. It was great and our waiter Marvin was the best! He was very patient and extremely helpful. He made the whole experience and we will be coming back.

    We’ve eaten here often, always for special occasions. Always a good call. Our server was “Q” and he was very attentive and easy going. We asked him about what brought him to Washington and really enjoyed his story. We were celebrating our birthdays and I’m so glad we came here. Does not disappoint. Next time you’re in Tacoma, you just have to try it! Trust me

    The food is good and it's a fun experience for sure- it's just really really pricey. We left totally satisfied and our waitress was very sweet and helpful, even helping with a take home box for my kid who was sick and bummed he missed it. Overall very good.

    Food was excellent. Service was fair. We kept having to ask for every drink refills. We only go for a special occasion every few years due to the cost. Our party of 7 was $530 bucks.

    The Melting Pot was a great place to celebrate me and my wife's anniversary dinner! 🍾 I would suggest the 4 course dinners. You can absolutely not go wrong with going there! P.S. Make sure you come very very hungry...

    We had a great meal. We needed a break and we had the best little night. We ended up getting to take advantage of a sunset dinner special it was amazing Great deal even came with a bottle of wine. Good service nice paced.     Not sure if it was the servers first day on the job, but service was terrible compared to previous times I’ve been there. He didn’t explain the sauces, he did explain how to use the timer or how to stay safe from cross contamination. He was using a tablet to take our order and took forever to find each item. I’m used to waiters memorizing the order. Anyway…the food was pretty good but our waiter needs to step up his game. Plus we had a family next to us with 3 little kids. When did this place turn into a family restaurant? Tip: if you have 4 or more in your party, be sure to ask for a table with 2 burners otherwise you all have to agree on the base and chocolate dessert will be. Frustrating. Don’t think we will be returning to this location anytime soon.

    Our experience was disappointing due to the overall cost, small portions, and limited service. There was also zero acknowledgement of our daughter's birthday, which we had mentioned when booking the reservation. We will not be going back in the future.

    felt rushed by the server had to tell her to slow down at one point because we hadn't been there in years and they wanted everything now. The cost is WAY to high paid $478 for 4 people. With the rushed services and cost you would think the service would be better. Didn't explain cooking times, or that we could ask for more vegetables and sauces. Told her several times no bananas and she still brought bananas. Explained the food allergy before we even sat down. Would not recommend this place if you have food allergies and need items separated.

    This was my 1st time to the Melting Pot and having a fondue based meal. It was for my Wife's birthday with friends who go there all the time. It was a wonderful experience and helped to have someone explain the different cooking methods and cheese sauces. I recommend the experience, but understand it is expensive. I'm sure I will go back again.

    This is an experience not just a meal. Our server was great and food was good. The only issue I have is the cost. 4 people for dinner $300 without the tip. And they add a 4% charge for increasing costs? It’s literally bite sized portions of meat and some veggies. When they can offer it every day 50% off in the bar that tells me it’s just greed.

    Our server was amazing! Angel is a sweet heart and she made our experience here great! Definitely recommend coming here, you will not be disappointed. It was mine and my husband’s first time coming out and we enjoyed every single course of our meal!
