The Melting Pot - Savannah
Salad | Ste. Michelle, Rosé, WA
Cheese | Mezzacorona, Pinot Grigio
Our experience was wonderful. The waitress was excellent and assisted us with choices. The presentation of our courses was perfectly timed and served beautifully. The food was so tasty. The wine selection is great. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. I’ll definitely visit again.
I’m placed a reservation through open table yesterday forn7:30 the next day. We arrive to tell them of our reservation & the young blonde woman upfront says “you have a reservation for 7:30” after I already told her. There were two families waiting when we walked in. She asked for the name I her and asks me am Insure that it was under MY name when I made the reservation. She said she couldn’t find my reservation. Then asks me if it’s under something else completely different. I feel as though she was trying to give our table away. Even after I showed her the reservation she acted as if I was ignorant of what how to place the reservation at the only damn melting pot around Savannah. Other than that horrible customer service at the very beginning which is the first impression. The Chef Jessie was beyond amazing. He had great conversation & suggestions on food & drinks.
One of our party didn’t eat cheese so we decided to skip straight to entrees, and our waitress tried to consistently push the cheese fondue on us when we already disclosed that cheese wasn’t for us.
The entree was very small, we chose the cast iron option. We were told it would be a bang for our buck basically. We paid $32 dollars for 3 options and they give you 4 tiny pieces of each option and a bowl of veggies. I could get more food at a chick fil a.
We also informed our waitress that we wouldn’t be doing the chocolate fondue, due to someone in the party not liking sweets. She constantly hounded us about which chocolate we wanted to select and it was very annoying.
Overall for the price it’s not a bang for your buck. She insisted that we’d even go home with a to go box, and they literally will serve you more food at a public school cafeteria lunch.
We were in a separate room that was very brightly lit and gave me a headache. Not the normal melting pot experience. It was not a romantic environment like the rest of the restaurant.
The Melting Pot is one of our favorite "special occasion" restaurants and we recently visited to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Our service was excellent and the meal was fun. Recommended!
Anniversary dinner! Had a nice time and our wait staff rocked!
Birthday dinner. Our server Ally took excellent care of our party. An excellent experience overall.
The Melting Pot provided a unique dining experience for my family. We celebrated my twins’ birthday. The style of cooking created such fun conversation and interaction. And the food was very tasty. I would highly recommend The Melting Pot.
Very enjoyable. Very good food. Excellent service.
Our waitress was incredible. The food was amazing
Words cannot describe how bad this experience was. The cheese tasted like raw garlic but, when we sent it back and ask for no garlic, it was much better. I don’t know where they got their “classic alpine” recipe from but they really need to rethink it. The oil started too hot burning all my food and then was too cold making the meat tough, greasy and yucky. Also, it took forever to get through the meal and we had to leave before dessert was served to my kids disappointment. I only rated the two because my kids had fun cooking their own food and the server was very engaging. I will not go again.
Great food and service. Four courses with plenty of options.
Always wanted to go, and we finally did. I wasn't impressed with boiling my meats (filet, chicken, lobster). The steaming boiling put in front of us made it quite warm in there also. The cheese fondue and dessert courses were my favorite. The salads were good as well. Spent about $250 with tip, alcohol and their best 4 course dinner for 2 with lobster added. I can see how it would make for a romantic evening for 2. We had another couple with us (they also both the same meal (so it was over $500 spent at our table!) and my daughter (she shared our meal). If you've never gone, definitely go! It might be your favorite new thing. My friend got the girl instead and grilled their meal (probably tasted better), but I can do that at home and spend way less.
Hannah was out server and she was great. We have been to the Melting Pot a few times before but never had a server explain so much and suggest something different from what we always get. The experience was fantastic.
We have never been here before although I grew up having fondue as a child. Our server was very helpful with information on what we needed to do.
It was good. The only think I didn’t like was we were celebrating a birthday on our table and we weren’t given anything special for birthday. Not even a slice of cake! Disappointing! To try out something new, it’s cool and must give it a shot atleast once!
Everything was done to detail as how I wanted it.. she had great customer service
Our server Aly was helpful and very knowledgeable about our dinner options. I had never experienced fondue before but my husband had and loves it. He had been wanting to go for a very long time. I am so glad we went and looked forward to our next visit.
This was our first time cooking with a fondue pot, we had a blast! The service was great! We would recommend The Melting Pot to anyone!
This was a late Mother’s Day dinner. We always have a good experience.
Fantastic, memorable full experience. Excellent quality food, expert service, wonderful ambiance. Everything as advertised. Well worth the price. Very highly recommended.
We love the melting pot it is our go to restaurant for special occasions.
We went for our 42nd anniversary and it was a nice quiet dinner. Our server was friendly and on top of her game. I would recommend this place for a special dinner.
It was a great time and our server was the best !!!
It’s always fun to eat at a Melting Pot...the meal for two is really more like a meal for 3-4 because there is so much for. Wish this location had made note of the fact we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday as we had mentioned.
It’s my 7 year old daughter favorite restaurant as well as mine and we like to have mommy and daughter date nights sometimes and when we do it’s always at The Melting Pot.
Celebration of my birthday and let’s just say it was great definitely will be coming back
We came for our 29 wedding anniversary. The lighting was very bright and we actually had to move tables because the light over our table was flickering. I’ve always enjoyed coming here and this visit was ok just not like it has been in the past. Something seemed off. It was not as “cozy” as it has been in previous visits. We will come back because we love the food but probably not for that romantic night out.
What a great staff. Well trained
Easter Sunday with the family. The food was great as well as the service. Whitney was our server. Everything was spot on!!! The General Mgr. Jesse welcomed us as we entered & Thanked us as we left. Great Experience!!!
Greatly enjoyed all of it.
It was our first time at The Melting Pot myself and my husband and we really enjoyed it. A lot different from what we’re used to but different in a good way. Our server was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable and attentive.
I would definitely visit again.
Awesome place really fun experience good food and good service
Our server was horrible! We had to constantly ask her for refill. If we didn’t tell her about our salad she would of never given it to us. We had it during our main course. For 6people there was not enough cheese or soup base, we couldn’t cook some of our meats because there was no more soup base. We got charge extra on our food order but we didn’t do any substitution. Our family always go to melting pot so we decided to invite our friend which was there first time there and everything went wrong. We saw the bill and figured out why our service sucked because she was already getting 2 gratitude she didn’t care about serving us! It’s stupid. 3 adults and 3 kids were present.
Melting Pot Savannah is really good. Good it's fresh and high quality. Service is great and they tend to your every need. Food is great and cheese fondue is super. Will grab dessert the next time.
Super awesome place for a dinner date!! And if you can request to sit in cassie’s section definitely do that she is an awesome waitress!!
Great and fun dining experience.. our waitress was super helpful with suggestions to other Savannah’s attractions since we were from out of town. Will definitely return!!
Perfect birthday dinner!
