So overpriced. $350 for a party of four. Food was average. Daughter wanted to go for birthday. Put it was for a birthday on the reservation, the server asked if we were celebrating anything special and then never acknowledged it again. So many amazing restaurants in Savannah for less $. Skip this one.

The service was horrible. It was our first time visiting. We had a reservation and were placed in the back corner so they could clean. We barely got waited on, refills, clean silverware, or guidance. I didn’t care for cooking the meat ourselves and the boiling of the food.

This is the most OVERPRICED restaurant ever!! There is no way of getting around it. To get the bread, meat and dessert it is an exorbitant amount!!!! Taking twin girls and myself our bill came to more than $200....and I had 2 glasses of wine, this is just OVER THE TOP PRICING.

We are frequent fliers at the melting pot of Savannah. It is always delicious, and it was no different on this visit. What was exceptional was the service. Our server was simply amazing and it pains me that I can’t remember her name because she is clearly the best that they have.

I am so disappointed. My husband and I love The Melting Pot. We have made it our special night to go as many as we can while we travel. We have been to Columbus, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Wilmington, and now Savannah. Tonight was, by far, my worst experience. My husband and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary. I made sure this was known on our reservation. Once seated, our anniversary wasn’t even mentioned. Our server, Jen R, had little personality. I feel like coming to The Melting Pot is a full experience. It’s not just about amazing food, but it’s also about amazing service. We have been fortunate enough to have the full experience everywhere else. Jen R. acted as if we were an inconvenience. Once the course was dropped off, she didn’t come back unless we flagged her down (which I hate doing) until the next course. She didn’t ask how things tasted, how things were going, or it we needed anything (like extra sauces or drinks). We weren’t informed of specials, given any advice on what menu items to pick, or given drink suggestions. I understand a lot of servers are able to remember items without writing them down, but if you aren’t able to do that PLEASE write things down. Items were forgotten during the meal because of this. I was heartbroken to see the other server was giving suggestions to her table, asking if they were celebrating anything, and she even had candles lit for one tables dessert. I wanted to be able to feel special. I didn’t at all.

Outstanding service. Food quality was at its best. Definitely more food than one could ever eat in one sitting! But to 17 year-old boys made a good crack at it. Great special occasion place, we were celebrating a birthday. Will definitely return.

The restaurant was nearly empty. There was no ambience. The server acted like we were going to walk out at any minute. The server handled raw food and then handled our glasses with the same gloves on. We had two couples and they charged us a mandatory gratuity.

We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. Very disappointed in this melting pot restaurant location service was great, but food was mediocre when they brought the raw veggies out the celery and carrot looked to be weeks old. Then when veggies came out with main course the broccoli was wilted and yellow, sent it back. Music horrible cracked speakers lots of static. $$$ not worth it meal for two with one cocktail each was $141.00

Megan, our waitress, really created an experience for us. My friends and I have all been to this restaurant before but it has been several years now. Megan made sure we knew what to do and how to do it before every course. Megan also recommended the drinks and gave sound advice for each course option. Beyond the service, the building was beautiful and the ambiance was perfect. My friends and I really enjoyed our time and our overall experience. The best part though, was the food. Fresh fruit and veggies, delicious cheese and chocolate. Definitely 10/10. Our Galentines was amazing thanks to this restaurant.

I decided to try this place for my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend. The food portions are very small even though we did order the “Big Night Out” option off of the menu. Our server was nice but forgot our dessert drinks so we didn’t end up getting those. There was another guest who complained about how annoying the music was, and had it changed which i found funny but it was true. In the end during dessert, our fondue put started smoking to the point I was coughing and moving around the table to avoid the smoke. My boyfriend hesitated to shut off the fondue pot for a moment but the server did not come back and the smoke was getting worse. He shut it off himself and when the sever did come back she thanked us for unplugging the pot.

I knew going in that it was going to be a little cheesy… Holds for laughs… But was disappointed right away from how strange the interactions were from the front door to the table, and immediately was put off by just how bright our table was. We were literally under a spotlight. Despite asking the manager and our server if there was any way for them to adjust their lights, we were told repeatedly there was not. Having worked in restaurants for the last 15 years… I am shocked to learn there’s not a single dimmer in the house. That said, we were committed to enjoying our dinner out celebrating our mini Babymoon. Our server was well informed and kind, albeit a little robotic. The food was good; not great, not bad… The whole experience felt like maybe we were 15 to 20 years late to dinner. And the bathroom was disgusting, so much so, that this bladder-bursting, 7 month preggers decided it best just to hold it. Or maybe we’re just snobs? Either way, we’ve done it, and we won’t be back.

We have eaten at the Melting Pot multiple times but the first time at the Savannah location. It was a disappointing experience. The cheese fondue wasn't fully melted until halfway through. The bread was stale. Our wine was brought out after the cheese was started and it was the wrong 'flavor' but right brand. We didn't get our correct wine until the cheese was almost finished. The salads took a while to get after the cheese was finished and we were told that the reason was that the kitchen was backed up. The teriyaki steak quality was sub-par, chewy. Our server was very engaged, attentive and friendly.

I've been before, but this was a first for the friend who dined with me, and the experience was really the only good thing about it. The recently changed soda lines made the Coke taste like diet coke (according to the server); the Sauvignon Blanc was 'carbonated'?; the broccoli was half green half yellow; the apples were mushy; the salami looked 'old' (was discolored at the edges). Our server seemed focused on bringing the next course as soon as possible, despite the fact that we didn't want to be rushed and there were plenty of empty tables for other patrons. Since we ordered a la carte, we skipped the dessert fondue (best part?) because of the frenzied pace. A different experience, probably great fun for kids, if you can justify the price, but not for discerning foodies.
