Located in historic downtown Tacoma, The Melting Pot provides a unique, interactive dining experience in a casually elegant, intimate atmosphere.     Long time fan of The Melting Pot! We’ve visited both locations numerous times over the last two decades for special events and date nights. We were pleasantly surprised by a few old favorites being offered again. Our waitress was delightful and kind. Constructively, the Tacoma location was just plain messy. The bathroom was a disaster at 5pm on a Sunday. Our waitress was covering 5 large party tables alone meaning she didn’t have time to check on us, was rushed through dropping off our food, didn’t explain the process to half our group that had never been, didn’t refill our water or drinks (we prompted one time) and had to run all her own plates. Highly recommend hiring bussers and upping the cleaning schedule.

    Overpriced for the food you get. Service is meh. Cheese was not prepared correctly and came out runny. Not worth the $300 for a meal that was just cheese and chocolate-no meats or salads. Bellevue melting pot is light years ahead Tacoma in quality and service. Messaged the manager but haven’t had a response yet. Also, we were charged for three servings of a dessert when we ordered two. It was a birthday celebration-no attempt by the server to recognize the birthday. Overall, highly disappointing. Will not return to Tacoma.

    Great experience overall! Our waitress was very nice, and the food was really good. I do miss the small grill they used to have for the meats, but everything else was excellent.

    Went on a Mother’s Day date with my small child. There was a curated menu and everything was new. This was fun experience and pretty exciting to try dipping the food and cooking it. Food was just ok for the most part but I think the experience made it worthwhile. I also enjoyed the cocktail I had. It was also new, gin and champagne poured over cotton candy. They had a “kids cocktails” which my child enjoyed the chocolate milk which was actually chocolate milk with ice cream and syrup. Cj, our host was new but I’d say he also did a pretty great job with us.

    My family and I went. Celebrated mom’s day early. Our server and her trainee did a fabulous job. The drinks the food the ambience were outstanding. Thank you

    This was a really fun experience for the family. Really enjoyed the cheese section. I was pretty full already after cheese and salad. The meat section was good but it felt like a lot for one person. My kiddo loved loved the chocolate section. We got the chocolate turtle. Would do it again with friends for happy hour or a really special occasion. Server was wonderful. Really liked our service!
