The atmosphere was subdued and sophisticated. The server was very professional. As there is only 1 burner, the table has to agree on the types of fondue; which is limiting.
The cheese fondue was rather bland. The Coq Au Vin broth (up charge from standard broth) was flavorful. The proteins and sauces were good. The salads were average.
Preparation of a non-standard cocktail was special and appreciated.
Overall a very nice lunch experience which we will repeat; likely with different selections. Pricing was a bit high but special options are available.

Our waitress, Crystal, was knowledgeable and friendly. She offered suggestions when asked, and didn’t disappoint us! The food was good, fresh, and plentiful. It was novel and fun to be able to select the cooking method and food we would be preparing at our table.
The main problem we found was the lack of lighting. I understand ambience and how low lighting helps create a more intimate atmosphere, but The Melting Pot is ‘dungeon dark’. My guest lost sight of the host as we were being led to our table, and I needed to ask for assistance to locate the restroom. It was disorienting to say the least. If not for the exit signs we’d probably still be trying to find our way out. Dim lighting is fine, but almost complete darkness is dangerous and uncomfortable.
All in all, the food was good, the waitstaff was superb but we won’t be returning.

The cost for food and cocktails is excessive for the quality and quantity. I don't expect to pay $12 for a cocktail in Myrtle Beach. We aren't in LA or DC! In addition, they said they couldn't serve Lobster with no price adjustment because the manager didn't like the quality of it. More likely saving it for the following day for Valentines day guests would be my guess.

Very nice meal. Have gone to Melting Pot Restaurants for about 30 years. They were always good but have actually improved.

Our server was fantastic. He was very friendly and very attentive. However for the price I was not in love with the food. The cheese fondue was great and the chocolate fondue was of course wonderful as well. The meal itself was not the best. They had pre- seasoned the chicken and it had an odd flavor to it.

It was both mine and my boyfriends first time at a Melting Pot. We wanted to try something new and wanted a cozy restaurant for a change. It was fun cooking my own dinner and having so many options to choose from. I do however wish we each could have options to picked different cooking sauces at the price you pay. We understand the small space, it just would be a great idea. Being able to try two different sauces instead of just the one. Our waiter Ridge was great and very helpful. Would definitely go back again!

Great experience at the Melting Pot! We were celebrating a birthday and this was the perfect place for a romantic date. Great food and awesome staff! The lighting is a little too dim for my liking but overall still a great experience and I will return.

The experience my wife and I had at the Melting Pot was wonderful. Our waitress, Brittany, was terrific. She recommended choices that we thoroughly enjoyed and her friendliness made the experience even more welcoming. The food was delicious and the portions were definitely satisfying. We highly recommend a trip to the Melting Pot.

We typically love The Melting Pot and have been to several locations. The food here is good and they are very willing to accomodate special requests as well as bring back old favorites (hello, Bourbon Bacon Fondue) but the atmosphere is not romantic or fit for special occasions like other Melting Pots I've been to. It's very loud, there are LOTS of children (the same was true on our last visit) and even people Facetiming on phones in the booth beside you. I was there for a birthday celebration and we purposely came late hoping for an older, more courteous crowd but that did not happen. Normally, we would just chalk it up to a busy night but this has happened before and also affected our service so I'd be remiss not to mention it.

Our server was fairly new and distracted by a table of 10 teenagers that he was waiting on in addition to several others. At one point there were burning oil fumes (after we finished eating the pot was still on high for over 10 minutes and the remaining batter had burned) blowing in my face so my husband had to turn off the pot as the server was no where to be found. Also, I had to ask another server to bring me the Wine and Garlic Seasoning because our server didn't come back after bringing us our entrees and forgot to drop it off. Finally, there were so many young and rude diners that we felt that it was not the cozy, romantic dinner we had hoped but enjoyed the food.

All in all, I would say to go with the expectation of having a fun experience but not for a "special occasion" dinner. This Melting Pot would do well to invest in floor to ceiling curtains for the illusion of privacy that some other locations employ and a sign or two encouraging diners not to talk or Facetime on their phones during dinner. That should be obvious but, alas it was not to our neighbors. Also, having a manager or floating staff member stop by the table when the server is busy with a large party would be helpful.
