   We love this restaurant. Our 9 year old loves being able to cook his own food and it’s just an overall fun experience. I’ve never left here disappointed.

   We were greeted by a wonderful server who explained the whole dining experience since this was our first time. He was very patient with us and didn’t seem rushed. Every course was a fun experience and delicious. Will definitely return.

   This is a pre-theater meal. We chose location because you’re curious about fondue and because it was close to the theater. The maître d’ practically chased us to the table saying we had didn’t have near enough time to eat. Do you want to order off the Elkhart menu versus the full four course meal because it was too much food for us. And we felt rushed and hurried and pushed. This kind of service created very unpleasant experience. However, once the service people left us alone, we were able to enjoy our cheese fondue in our cocktails in peace and chat and have a lovely time. We finished in less than an hour, so we had more than enough time. The fondue itself was actually delicious. It was quiet in the restaurant because there was no one there so obviously, we did not need a reservation all that we had made one. Cocktails were of average quality, but more expensive than they should’ve been

   This is the second time I’ve been to the Melting Pot and it did not disappoint. The food is always great and a fun time but I was particularly impressed with our server’s attention to detail at helping one person in our party navigate some allergies. Definitely will be back!

   Excellent t special dinner to celebrate my son’s 18th birthday. He has never been here or had anything like it and loved it!! This is the 2nd time I’ve been to this location and just as good as the first! Close to the Orpheum to catch a show after. Portion sizes are very generous. This is t a meal, but an experience!

    First time at Melting Pot. Service was awesome and the food very tasty. The decor left a lot to desired. Was not impressed with the cocktails. Ended up ordering a beer just because the cocktails were all overly sweet. Also, no candied pine nuts on a Cesar salad. Was gross. The steak and fish were awesome. The Wisconsin cheddar was great!

    Showed up on time for our 4:30pm reservation but it took 25 minutes to get sat at our table, another 20 for the waiter to take a drink order and another 20 minutes before our first course to get to the table. Total dinner service was 2½ hours. We were trying to rush things along but the waiter was very inattentive.

    We have been regular patrons of the Melting Pot for almost 20 years . The flavor and quality of the food, from salads to entrées was five stars. The orange duck is a particular favorite of ours. The melting pot truly is a dining experience, and that is where they have fallen short the last couple of years. The servers and presentation are part of the that experience. I am sure that staffing issues have led to some of this, but everything was rushed, with no time at the table to explain the cheese they were putting together or the wines that were being brought and entirely wrong entrees were placed at the table. We did make the manager aware that the food was fantastic, but the service continues to lack.

    This restaurant is ranked in one of my top 5. The food was amazing and so was the service. I took my youngest daughter here for a pre-Sweet 16 celebration and she loved it. We had a window seat, which was great. The only downfall is that the restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis and the homeless population is rampant in this area. It’s not something that I want to see when enjoying my meal or trying to get to my car. Otherwise, a must try.

    Let me start off by saying our server Asia was phenomenal! That is the only reason I gave this any stars. The food was gross (minus the dessert course) I mean who doesn’t like a giant pot of chocolate and desserts with fruit …. $160 + the $30 for the drinks we had while waiting … drinks normal Minneapolis price … bartenders were friendly but very chatty and noticed not helping many customers. My date asked the one who wasn’t serving us a question about the available taps and he was extremely rude, but the man serving us overheard stepped in and was such a gentleman. I would recommend to go here for drinks and the server mentioned there is a “cheese fondue and dessert option” but skip the meat it’s not good. I got the steak lovers .. the filet was good but shredded chunks … the rest of the platter even cooked medium/medium rare was tough to chew we threw it out. My date got the pacific rim and had to power through some of the cuts (he did say the seafood was good) overall service like mentioned couldn’t have been better being our first time here she was so patient and helpful and explained everything and was very sweet and humorous so the experience itself I enjoyed. If your wanting to try melting pot I’d say go for the awesome staff and apps/dessert/drink but skip the dinner date

    I thought the seafood was the best. The broth we cooked everything in I wanted to take home for cooking. I ate too much. I had just a couple of bites of dessert Super fun. We had a set menu ( new years eve) which was great for a first time fonduer like us I hope to get the tuna next time.

    We were a party of 7. Overall experience was outstanding. Food/ desserts were delicious. Zac our server, was courteous and knowledgeable about the food and the process of cooking fondue. Only slight downside was the noise level. But must realize we were in a group area with other groups. Understandable and acceptable noise level. Would highly recommend. We will return.
