Had a wonderful time at The Melting Pot for my wife’s birthday celebration! First, the service was outstanding!! Our server was Austin and he was attentive, funny and knowledgeable. He explained how the courses are served in the Ultimate Feast and each round was amazing! The food was fresh, the experience was magical, and the ambience was perfect. Well done Melting Pot - highly recommend!!

Christopher was the bomb! He made the evening be such an amazing experience. Husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. Couple of tips - take your time. If you are going to a show, you aren’t going to dine and dash in an hour. Take your time and enjoy your food coma.

Got seated right away as we had reservations but no server bothered to come over for 15 minutes. The menus were filthy. Most definitely not sanitized as promoted. When bartender finally came over we were accused of seating ourselves. The whole restaurant seemed dirty and unkempt. We left without eating. Didnt seem right to drop a bunch of money with such an unwelcoming atmosphere. If the menus were that dirty, what must the kitchen be like?

I brought my three children (two teenagers and a 9-year-old) out for a meal to celebrate the end of MEA weekend. The two younger kids had never been to The Melting Pot and our server Anthony was absolutely phenomenal in interacting with them, teaching them the process, and making the experience extra special. They all loved it, and we will absolutely be back for special occasions!

I do not eat red meat or fish. I wish there were more chicken options. And you need to please bring back the spoon to get the food out of the pot.

This was our first time at the Melting Pot in Minneapolis (although we'd been at the Chicago downtown Melting Pot many times). The food and service was great, and our waiter was great in helping us to decide what to get. The only tiny nits (not enough to knock it off a five-star rating, by any means)--we waited for a bit to get to the desert course. This seems to be a perennial problem in just about every nice restaurant we go to. Any idea why that is? Okay, the second nit--no espresso machine, so I had to settle for coffee. These issues were noticeable to us primarily because we had a 90 min. drive back to Rochester MN late on a Sun. evening. Definitely worth your while to check out though!

I was looking forward to this date night as we had never been! But the restaurant was dirty and a bit run down, a coating of dust on the walls and lights, all but one of the bathroom stalls had toilet paper, and the soap dispensers were out of soap, it seemed early in the evening for that…I was expecting a wait but there was hardly anyone there when we got there so I’m not sure why I needed reservations. Awfully expensive for a place where I need to cook my own dinner, I ordered the same drink twice and it was made differently each time…

Overall, I'd say great for a one time experience! The food wasn't necessarily "to die for" and the concept would probably get old with repeated visits. But really great as a unique experience.

The idea is unique but a lot of work to cook your own meal and pair it with the 6 different sauces. The cheese portions are enough for 4 people, not 2 as advertised. Place is good for a first date because plan to be there about 2.5hours.

We had the fondue for two. It was actually too much food for us we didn’t finish the cheese or dessert portions. One thing they could do is toast the bread for the cheese fondue so it would stay on the fondue forks. Good value for your money had great service

Great as always. My only concern was the meat was cut into chunks large enough that it impacted cooking time. For some things it doesn’t matter but the chicken was still pretty pink after the recommended cooking times.

What a magical way to celebrate my birthday. It started with the hostess, that made the chocolate covered strawberries happen on late notice. Our server Even was beyond compare. We were complex in our asks to customize our selections. This did not phase him one bit and even the check was correct in the end. He was very personable and clearly likes his career choice. We have been going to the Melting Pot for over 25 years. We were never fans of the tempura batter until this day. It was always too runny and stuck to the pan. Turns out they have the same recipe, it is just how much liquid you use, Even has it down. Love the battered vegies this time. He was so full of trick - how not to have your food stick to the bottom. As always, the cheese fondue is heavenly. Tonight we had the Wisconsin 4 cheese. We capped off the evening with the Original chocolate fondue- milk chocolate with peanut butter. Loved the entire experience, thank you Even .

My only complaint and I hate to do it. Shift manager was kind of a weirdo. I asked for a table with 2 burners and he lied to my face and said they were all booked. I pulled up open table app and saw they had multiple open tables. When I finally got moved into a section with multiple burners, 2 tables were empty the entire time I was there. Doesn’t make any sense. But I’ll be back. Dessert is worth it.

Fabulous as always! We usually come here once per year and are never disappointed. The service and food was exceptional. The food was amazing. Always fun to have a long family dinner and just talk for a few hours in our busy lives. We will be back!

Made Reservation, indicated it was for a birthday Arrive and told waiter it was our 15 yo grand daughter’s birthday. At dessert course she received a 1”x1” pound cake with a candle. On the way out, another table had birthday balloons which we saw they had on the way in. $200 spent for 3 people and that is what happens?? Food was fair, steak was tough. Never again.

Zack, Our server apparently had a couple of large parties on another room. He took my son's beer order and totally forgot it. We were ignored and had to flag other servers for help. He didn't even acknowledge his poor service at the end of of the evening.

What’s not to love about fondue? Always tasty, but the veggies with the cheese were lame: cherry tomatoes, baby carrots , and celery. Meats were delicious and of course the chocolate course was great. It’s always overpriced, so it’s a special occasion kind of place.

Very expensive and menu is a bit confusing. Too many options. Cheese dip was good and Turtle dessert was delicious, but too much work cooking your own meat/main course without a lot of flavor to meat and veggies. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Very expensive for what you receive and not able to take any food home unless you cook it first - even the vegetables. They threw away so much food from our table.

The food was pretty good except for the lobster it tasted funny poached in the coco vin!!!! The service was terrible there were long waits between courses and the server was unattended!!

Bar staff very poor service! High table of 4 and we were told we could order drinks before our dinner reservation was ready. They ignored us completely(2 men) until I went to the bar to try to get their attention...which they assiduously avoided! We finally got our drinks....NO TIP given to the bar staff!! The waiter we had for dinner was very good...worked hard, had good "shtick" and educated us about the process and options. HE WAS THE ONLY THINK I LIKED ABOUT THE MELTING POT! Food was tasteless and WAY overpriced. We will not be back....BUT...we had the experience.

The experience, ambience, and staff were excellent. For the price, we expected a little more from the food. It was good, but nothing stood out as particularly good to anyone in our group. That said, we still enjoyed the experience.

If I could give 100 stars I would.!!! It was my daughter's birthday. We had a member of our group have a motor vehicle accident on the day of our reservation. We had to change the time a couple different times at last minute. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The food and service was outstanding. I can recommend adding the birthday balloon tree to your birthday reservation. Really made the table look festive when we were brought to the table!!!
