Share plate with chicken liver pâté and meat, pickled veg it’s absolutely mind blowing - all fresh and made on site
Absolutley excellent experience. Freshest most delicious food. Staff was wonderful and made a beautiful delicious appetizer out of my skimpy flowers I brought from a foraging tour!
This is a superb restaurant and is well located in downtown Asheville.
Not impressive for the price of breakfast.
good food excellent service we enjoyed the experience
We enjoyed a delicious brunch, eggs, sausage, potatoes plus my favorite, the banana bread French toast. The classic Bloody Mary was generous and delightfully spiced. The service was efficient and personable. I would rate it pretty highly among Asheville's copious options for brunch.
The food here was absolutely amazing, I loved every bite. The table got a cinnamon roll to share and we all devoured it, delicious. My Scallops and grits were sooo good, I’m sad I can’t eat that more often lol we were visiting Asheville on vacation. It would 10/10 recommend dining here. I plan on going back next time I’m there.
We had a great time... the food, service, and ambiance were excellent. We will be back!
lovely space. The service was slow and the food was good, but not great, especially for the price.
We enjoyed our dinner very much and would recommend the restaurant. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly. The food portions were good and the meal was very tasty.
Very nice restaurant. The decor was modern. Service was excellent, we were only one of two tables occupied because we had 6 pm reservations (early).
First time dining here and we will return. My wife had the scallops and I had the pork shoulder. Both very good.
One of our favorite restaurants; we were glad to be back after more than a year's absence during the covid crisis. As before, it is quiet and peaceful with tables nicely spaced. And, as always, we had an excellent and attentive waiter.
We were less pleased with the food. The lamb papardelle dish was very good, the pan seared sea scallops with pork belly a disappointment. We don't expect huge portions (and don't want them) at a first-rate restaurant, but three small scallops and two (very) tiny pieces of pork belly? The rest of the not very ample dish consisted of small portions of roasted/grilled cauliflower, carrots and beets. Okay, but $32?
We're charitably assuming that there may be a problem in restarting the restaurant and we'll return and hope for the better.
Pretty good place for any occasion
Way too expensive for the quality of food. The menu is limited. We paid over $100 for the two of us and my husband’s steak was overcooked.
They’re very hard to work regarding a change to a side for an entree. And if there’s a big table, service suffers.
All of our food was delicious. The mussels were outstanding!
Went for brunch because the menu looked impressive. The food was mediocre and cold when it got to us, the service was poor. We ordered a cinnamon roll (which was burnt, and had no flavor), eggs Benedict (the cornbread was dry, the eggs were over cooked, and the ramp hollandaise tasted like nothing). Won’t be back.
The whole package. Relaxing ambiance, delicious food, great service!
We especially enjoyed the pork shoulder.
We were pleasantly surprised. Visiting Asheville, it turned out that without reservations made several days in advance for this particular weekend, almost nothing was available. Thus, when we found several openings at the MarketPlace, we weren't expecting much. Instead, this new restaurant in a chic setting in new hotel, turned out to be lot's of fun. Decor was very hip and upbeat. The waitress was friendly, and very helpful and cheerful. Food was very tasty (with grandkids and daughter we split the short ribs, a couple of tasty pizzas (mushroom, in particular, was excellent) and ravioli and a nice bottle of wine. The short ribs were terrific. Nice wine list, too, although not cheap.
All in all, a very pleasant experience,.
Food was just Okay. We ordered the Kale and Goat Cheese fritters for an appetizer. Looked like hush puppies and had a doughy center texture. Neither my wife or I could eat a a single whole fritter, they were sent back. Kale and beet salad was okay except for one bite which was very salty. Trout was good but light on seasoning. Scallops were also well seared but lacking seasoning and presentation was odd looking. Server was polite, attentive and competent which was the high point. Too many choices in Asheville to repeat for us.
The Market Place was delicious! The food was plated nicely, portions were appropriately sized (not too much but not too little), and everything tasted great. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. We enjoyed our visit to The Market Place and plan to go back when we're in town!
The brunch was sadly underwhelming, especially for the price. The biscuits and gravy and cinnamon roll were not tasty; although the Mac and cheese with fried chicken was quite good.
Staff didn’t wear masks appropriately and no gloves when making drinks behind the bar. Just digging through fruit with bare hands and tossing them in drinks 🤢
Service was fantastic and friendly! Loved the quaint outdoor seating. The food was good, not great. Really good value.
Wonderful service! Amazing food! Safely distanced, quiet ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Great atmosphere! The menu was creative and had lots of vegetarian options.
Great food. Great drinks. Service A+. COVID safe.
Our dining experience was wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, ambiance, and service. We will definitely return when we are in Asheville again!
I was impressed by the entire experience.
A great restaurant serving farm to table dining. We took our 2 teenage grandchildren there for a special meal and we really liked the ambience, the service and the food. Limited items on the menu but enough choices for most people.
It was a fabulous experience and we are looking forward to returning.
Pretty place which served very good food with a very interesting menu!!!
Vanessa and Jason were great! We had such a great time we came back a second night in a row! Excellent food, superior service, perfect drinks, all around wonderful experiences. We will go back here every time we come back to Asheville!!!
Sat at bar. Great food. Great drinks. Service A+. COVID safe.
The food was outstanding - however we waited an hour from when we sat down to when we got our appetizers.
Outdoor ambience was excellent. Food was excellent and good service.
Easter Brunch, $45/person, hard as a rock, cold pastries (old? tasted old), teeny 4" by 1/2" thick quiche (a good size for a pre-school child), made with "liquid eggs". The Lamb my partner ordered was raw, he took it all home and cooked it better and it was fine then. This is the second time things have been achingly poor. Will not be back. Wait staff very nice though!
Leo our service leader was awesome. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Brunch menu for holiday limited and not the quiet usual marketplace standard. Was very good, but food here is normally exceptionally amazing! Service and friendly staff made this one trip. Will always return because is such a great place.
Great service...great food and fabulous cocktails!
