Visiting Madison. We love visiting this restaurant. Mmm!
We had a wonderful meal! Highly recommend Mariner’s Inn.
Had an excellent time celebrating my dad’s birthday dinner, food was outstanding, service was excellent and as always we’ll be back soon! We had people order cheese curds, calamari, walleye with the shrimp addition, porterhouse, salmon Florentine, filets, and chocolate decadence cake for dessert. It all tasted amazing, meal was well paced and our whole group enjoyed themselves.
Service and food excellent! Hidden gem in Madison!
Dinner was excellent. My Cajun Walleye was delicious and my wife’s tenderloin was perfect. Dinner was served with the right amount of time between courses.
I love the history of the building and the family ownership story/situation. Happy Hour specials are very good. Service and food very high quality without arrogance or stuffiness. Will be back!
Wonderful evening. Went out to dinner with my mom since my dad was at the Brewers game, we sat in the room that looks out at the lake, it was a beautiful setting. Food was excellent—had the filet, world famous clam chowder and some cocktails. Our server was excellent as well, really enjoyed her and the pace of the meal!
Our go to for Date Night!
Two of us had walleye. The walleye was over cooked. Both of our fillets were over cooked. And one of the fillets tasted a terrible fishy taste to it. The other one other than being over cooked was OK in the past a while I has been very good. But tonight was terrible.
I love the setting of this place, and the nautical theme, and the food. Still, the interior looks dated and worn (scratched walls, etc.), and the outside seating is way too casual (almost junky) to fit the food and expectations.
As always, the best in Madison has to offer.
The service was delightful and the food absolutely delicious. Will definitely return for the surf and turf!!
Service was great! The lobster had no flavor nor did the butter to dip it in. The steak was good but not great. It's has been better in the past. We went there for our Anniversary and didn't feel that it was very special even though we told them.
Best beef in Madison
We always go on Restaurant week, good value and food is excellent.
Male Server was really nice and v efficient on such a busy night, Friday, last day of restaurant week.
The food was delicious and the waitress was great.
Our waitress- Aliya - was very efficient, considerate, welcoming without being overbearing, and genuine.
Great food and service, busy due to Restaurant Week.
Mariners has good drinks, good food and exceptional service. Great view and ambiance. For the amount of food you get it’s slightly overpriced. The quality is good though. I enjoy eating dinner at Mariners and will return.
I was at the Mariners Inn with a good friend for Madison Restaurant week. Everything was excellent as usual. Never have I ever had an experience less than 5 stars when visiting the restaurant. Attentive and experienced staff and always excellent food.
When it’s Restaurant Week (or any other special occasion) in Madison, Mariner’s MUST be on your list. Food was wonderful, service was excellent. Also gotta have a Brandy Old Fashioned-YUM!!
You will not be sorry for dining at Mariner's Inn. The pride in their history of great food and drink is well deserved!
Excellent food, flavor was wonderful, we stopped in for Restaurant week so limited menu, but were ok and very satisfied with entire evening! A Madison area long time favorite!
Excellent food. Good social distancing except at entrance. Server ok, pleasant.
Excellent food! Excellent service! No place better!
Excellent all around. We have not been there in over 2 years . Very excited and satisfied!
Excellent food in a classic setting. The staff was all friendly and efficient. Fun night!
Restaurant week. Because of that no happy hour, no bread, no sides included in the price of the meal. So a seemingly good price for a meal really wasn’t.
The experience was great! It was a bit cool for us where we sat.
Really enjoyed my time.
Food was fabulous as always! Best clam chowder ever!
nothing noted about occasion- UW 2020 graduate even though noted it in reservation
food overpriced for quality - green beans looked like microwavable type, among others
cheese curds, smashed potatoes soup good
main complaint quality of food - very disappointing for occasion and cost
Went for an early dinner and sat outside. Food was fair to good. Pricing too high for food quality. Service was good, but server forgot to tell us the specials, we overheard another server telling his table about them. Probably would not go back. Overall ok.
Service was slow despite reservations. Waiter was very slow. Others got food first who sat down after us. Overcharged for what we got. Food was hot and good.
Prefect diner with great service.Jim did a great job. Best service ever 👍
Jack and crew never disappoint
Fantastic as always!!!!
It was a wonderful meal and service was great
