My Mom came to WI for Thanksgiving!
Great food! Great service!
Great friendly service
Food was outstanding and so was the service. We left another place that we have been going to for many years after Badger games because of a 90 minute wait for a table. We looked up other restaurants in the area that had open reservations and found the Mariner’s Inn. They got us right in and provided a wonderful evening experience for a reasonable price. Thank you!
Jane was a wonderful server and we gave her a generous tip. The fried shrimp might have been the best I’ve ever had. I’m not a cocktail sauce fan so perhaps some sort of aioli alternative would be nice. Still ate everything
Very good service and food
Excellent food, Excellent service, I will definitely go back. Thanks, Mariner's, you did it again.
Excellent in all respects. We had a great experience.
This is a traditional Wisconsin supper club atmosphere but with a fabulous view of the lake and setting sun. The food is perfect! Every little detail is tended to. And the the prices are not eye-popping outrageously high - Just a decent price for a fabulous meal.
Jill was an awesome server!! Very sweet, attentive but not overbearing and always very customer service oriented. She’s a great employee!!!
Great place for a romantic dinner or just dinner with friends. Mariners shrimp is excellent and the lobster tail were amazing.
We reserved dinner for four and all of us enjoyed our food. The salmon was outstanding. What really made it a special evening was our server. He was attentive without being intrusive and above all, he listened and brought us everything we asked for. We will definitely be returning.
Very delicious food and good service!
What can one say? Short staffed to the extreme unfortunately. The two gentlemen who took care of us did their best but, there did not appear to be any regular wait staff present that night.
Despite that fact, the food was excellent but, overpriced.
I had mentioned when making the reservation that we were to celebrate my wife's birthday. No mention or acknowledgement by the staff unfortunately.
My favorite place to go. Food was excellent. Service was great. I will always go back. Kudos to Rob, our waiter.
Except for some intestinal issues I'd have given a higher rating. I don't know if it was food or cooking oil related, or just my intestinal tract, but I would still recommend Mariner's and will be back.
Wonderful food and service. We went for our anniversary and enjoyed every minute of the evening. Our server offered tips based on our food preferences, she shared history of the place and sincerely cared about our experience. It really was a special evening out!
We enjoy the Mariners very much. The quality of service and food is excellent.
Great overall experience for my Birthday!
Incredible setting. The salmon was outstanding and the hash browns “legendary”
Watched a lovely sunset over calm waters. Sand hill cranes and ducks nearby.
Went to Mariners for our 55th anniversary and it was a wonderful dining experience. Even though they were very busy the service was great and we were not rushed in any way. When they found out about our anniversary they seated us in a very quiet spot. First class experience!
Visiting Madison. We love visiting this restaurant. Mmm!
We had a wonderful meal! Highly recommend Mariner’s Inn.
Had an excellent time celebrating my dad’s birthday dinner, food was outstanding, service was excellent and as always we’ll be back soon! We had people order cheese curds, calamari, walleye with the shrimp addition, porterhouse, salmon Florentine, filets, and chocolate decadence cake for dessert. It all tasted amazing, meal was well paced and our whole group enjoyed themselves.
Service and food excellent! Hidden gem in Madison!
Dinner was excellent. My Cajun Walleye was delicious and my wife’s tenderloin was perfect. Dinner was served with the right amount of time between courses.
I love the history of the building and the family ownership story/situation. Happy Hour specials are very good. Service and food very high quality without arrogance or stuffiness. Will be back!
Wonderful evening. Went out to dinner with my mom since my dad was at the Brewers game, we sat in the room that looks out at the lake, it was a beautiful setting. Food was excellent—had the filet, world famous clam chowder and some cocktails. Our server was excellent as well, really enjoyed her and the pace of the meal!
Our go to for Date Night!
First time there. The decor is your typical supper club. The waitress was very friendly. The food was simply amazing! The appetizers were fresh and tasty. The calamari was not chewy or over breaded. The filet was cooked to perfection. And I couldn’t get enough of the cream sauce….yum! The broiled lobster was sweet and succulent, definitely not over cooked. I can’t wait to go back! I would also recommend trying to make it there during the day and in the summer, so you can sit outside by the water. What a great happy hour that would be.
Two of us had walleye. The walleye was over cooked. Both of our fillets were over cooked. And one of the fillets tasted a terrible fishy taste to it. The other one other than being over cooked was OK in the past a while I has been very good. But tonight was terrible.
I love the setting of this place, and the nautical theme, and the food. Still, the interior looks dated and worn (scratched walls, etc.), and the outside seating is way too casual (almost junky) to fit the food and expectations.
As always, the best in Madison has to offer.
The service was delightful and the food absolutely delicious. Will definitely return for the surf and turf!!
Service was great! The lobster had no flavor nor did the butter to dip it in. The steak was good but not great. It's has been better in the past. We went there for our Anniversary and didn't feel that it was very special even though we told them.
Best beef in Madison
We always go on Restaurant week, good value and food is excellent.
Male Server was really nice and v efficient on such a busy night, Friday, last day of restaurant week.
The food was delicious and the waitress was great.
