It was our first time at the Loft! The food was incredible! Drinks were awesome too! We started with the mushroom bruschetta and had the crusted lamb and the steak & lobster. All 3 dishes were amazing
Great service! Food was hot and tasty. Menu was limited perhaps because of COvid. Prices were a bit on the high side
The food was really good... we will definitely be back! Was quiet and all covid protocols were followed!
The Loft was great time for a nice dinner on Valentines Day. The spacing was great for circumstances during the pandemic. The food was great we had the prime rib and it was done perfectly and very tender. I would recommend the Loft for great food, service at a reasonable price.
Really great food, although a little pricy. There was live piano music playing which was lovely. Service was very good but did have to wait for a long time for the bill. Other than that, overall a great experience.
Went to the loft for Valentine’s Day dinner, checked open table menu at no point was there any indication that there was a set menu. Checked website menu and was brought to a 2020 3course turkey dinner.
Ordered prim rim with Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies
Prime rib was almost cold, mashed potatoes were like something from a leftover from the fridge, veggies under cooked, Yorkshire pudding was hard and dry with no gravy.
Wife ordered mushrooms Neptune for appy and steak and lobster
Mushrooms Neptune was a hot mess of just cream cheese, no flavour
Her steak was cooked to her liking, however her lobster tasted of charcoal and her butter was cold.
It was our first time and was highly dissatisfied. I will not be returning
Our table was in an area beside the fireplace which was lovely. Very cozy. The service was excellent. We all enjoyed our food except for one person ordered the halibut which was overcooked. It was replaced but it took a bit of time and there was no offer of compensation for it. Maybe they could have offered a discount or a free dessert for her.
Having said that, we would go again. Overall it was great.
Nice service and decent food. The steak was a little salty but the appetizers were all really nice and portion size was good.
A little overpriced but overall a nice meal
Both our waitress/hostesses were fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the menu and had good recommendations.
Went for date night with my husband. The food and service was great!
Great time! Great food. We will be back
Slightly disappointed with the food this time around. Dined at 5:15 and two of us ordered the Friday steak and lobster. Both ordered medium rare but steaks were medium at best.
Could have sent them back but we were hungry and didn't bother. Disappointing as we were the first diners in there and the quality of the dinner just wasn't there this time.
We can always be assured of an excellent meal at a fair price.
The buffet was delicious.
Only critique was a little too much gristle in the roast beef. Otherwise my wife and I enjoyed our meal.
I booked our party of 4 for Saturday, February 15, expecting that it would be an ordinary night, but we were pleasantly surprised that the ambiance was still set to celebrate Valentines Day. The tables were all set with red napkins on white tablecloths and a red rose was the centrepiece on the tables . We were welcomed with a special Valentines menu. They even had a piano player to add to the ambiance. Our server, Daniel, was most pleasant. We all really enjoyed our meals, which was served very promptly.
Valentine’s Day 2020. Was not greeted by host staff, I had to greet them to get their attention. Taken to our table right away, nice table by the fireplace nice place settings.
Sever took my husband & mine drink order but did not ask our daughter. Wine bottle arrived did not pour a sample tasting, she poured both glasses. 20 min later someone took our order. 30 min later the bread came. Another 30 min our mains came, the server was unsure if we ordered what she was holding. They forgot our appetizer. My salmon was dry, I asked for more sauce, my husbands steak was dry. No one asked how our food was, or how we were doing. My daughters macaroni was good she liked it. Damn, very disappointed. :(
Food was not spectacular but good, we had a little issue of a steak not cooked to what was requested, Staff quickly fixed the situation, this would be a good place for after Golf but not for a fancy night out.
Very good service and food.
New Year’s Eve dinner... food was amazing as alway. Service was a little slower than usual and waitress was only Ok, have had friendlier there. Entertainment was a guitar player singer who was fantastic, but not for this occasion. I preferred the pianist they had the last two years ... a little quieter for this particular night of the year ( early dining)
New Year’s Eve
We went for an early dinner. There was a set menu but chef was flexible with coatings etc. Food was fantastic- steak was cooked exactly as ordered and very tender. Service was quick and efficient. Overall it was a great dinner.
Our experience at The Loft was outstanding. The food was incredible and our server was great.
We were pleasantly surprised, as there aren’t many nice restaurants with food quality food in our area.
Great views of the mountains and the golf course , staple canadian food , all freshly prepared, great service
Nice dinner out. Food and service were very good. Space is a bit open as it sits over the atrium, so a bit cooler at this time of the year, but not bad. Only negative was that our reservation, confirmed through Open Table, was not registered with the Loft, so we ended up with no reservation. Fortunately, there was a table open, so things worked out. Be good if Open Table and the Loft can fix the communication issue.
Surprising good food and food are hot when serbed, will be back!
It was nice - food was really good and reasonable prices.
First, the place was freezing cold, which made it very uncomfortable. Then it took at least 15 minutes for someone to come by & offer to get us drinks. So, not off to a great start.
Both of our steaks were undercooked, though my husband was able to handle the cook on his. I could not, however. So he ate 95% of his meal while I waited for them to cook my steak a little better.
In fairness, my husband did say his lobster was properly cooked.
Then, to compensate, they took 50% off my entree, when most places would have comped the whole thing.
For a place that looks fairly upscale, the service, food & ambiance were sadly lacking.
Seated right away which was nice and as it was not crowded we were able to pick our own seat.
Specials were not explained to us until we were ready to order. Service was ok but nothing special.
Very quiet.
It was great as alway!! Brought a new group of friends and they enjoyed themselves as well. We sat and ate and chatted for hours. Sunday brunch was good too!
Anniversary
Food and service were excellent. There was a loud wedding party adjacent to the restaurant. The server kindly offered us a table in the members lounge which was a big improvement. The ambiance is casual. Good dinning location for families or large groups, not for quiet dining for two.
Lovely quiet restaurant. Great for visiting Food was average. Would be nice to have some fresh warm rolls to start.
We took a friend for a mid-week birthday lunch. I had requested a window table and one was reserved for us overlooking the fab view across the golf course. Good choice of lunch entrees and the service was exceptional from friendly and helpful serving staff. Would definitely go back another time.
It was quite nice experience will definitely be back!
Great place with amazing view, nice service and good food. However my reservation through open table wasn't in their list.. anyway, they weren't busy so we got a good table.
One of the servers/host recognized me and welcomed me back... even noticed I was there with a different friend. Both my friend and I had the steak and lobster... it was very good... her first time and she enjoyed it as much as I did! Great value for out money. Service was good too... beautiful evening, so the ambience was great 😁
We'.ve been here a lot and this time found it disappointing. The servers are lovely but we feel the chef is eliminating some really good things fro the menu
The speaker was broken so there was a loud “thumping” that droned like a car with a heavy base-that was quite annoying. The food was good and our server was prompt, informed and witty! We will be back!
The food was disappointing. We have been here before and thought the food tasted great. Our waiter was "off'. I'm sure he meant to be funny but he came across as rude. It was a disappointing night all round.
Service was outstanding and food was very good.
it was a wonderful experience and a great Valentine's dinner. we are coming back now for the steak and lobster night............
