The ambience, vibe, decor, hospitality - all was phenomenal. The Mac & cheese, potatoes, asparagus, fries, pasta was all delicious. The space decor is so cute and quirky.

We are big fans of this restaurant. We have never had anything other than a wonderful experience here. THe service staff is generally very friendly and competent. THe preparations tasty and creative. ANd we just love the ambiance. WOuld recommend to true diners.

The food was awful. $120 for two entrees and no drinks. Waitress repeatedly hounded me for truffles in my pasta without telling me there was a $40 surcharge for the addition. Worst restaurant in the Hamptons I’ve ever been to. The food was bland and awful. DO NOT go here.

The food was good and the garden was beautiful, but everything else was horrible. We were one of 5 or 6 tables of people (it was not busy). We sat down at 11:15 and were immediately asked if we wanted water. We said yes. It finally showed up at 11:30. We ordered coffee and our food at 11:30. The coffee showed up at 12:00 (after we asked where it was). Some of our food showed up at 12:20 but we had no utensils. The rest of the food and utensils showed up around 12:30. As I mentioned, the food was good, but there were definite operational difficulties this morning. It wasn’t isolated to us as we could hear the other tables complaining as well.

The food is excellent, the chef is talented and has a good team behind them.
Table service is fair. No eye contact with the millennial server. Ordered a bottle of Sancerre and he did not have the professionalism to present the wine, nor allow me to check the wine with a small taste to assess. Instead, he opened and started pouring the bottle out into my wife’s glass.
Wine director, you need to teach wine service to your staff if you expect to command the prices on your list.
Take the time to train your staff on professional service, it will be an investment in your future guests.

We waited a very long time for drinks and food. The oysters were warm and didn’t taste fresh. We didn’t eat most of the oysters and the restaurant acknowledged they weren’t very good. Wonder why they served them in that case. Also the restaurant canceled our reservation while we were there and I got a warning email from opentabale while I was sitting there. Worst dinner experience in the hamptons.

Superb English pea soup. Very good mussels in white wine/garlic broth. Very good crab pasta. By 7 pm very noisy. Excellent craft cocktails. Bill for three was $271 plus tip for the three of us.

Was so disappointed in our experience there as previously we have enjoyed great dinners there. There is new management and this is a shame. The menu is limited and the food was not at all tasty. My daughter and I ordered pasta with crab and we both had to douse the dish with salt and pepper to add flavor to the dish(I am not a person who puts salt and pepper on anything.) There was 1 waiter for the whole dining room and he was clearly overwhelmed-when he came to get our plates and we had left about 3/4 of the entree on our plate, he asked if we wanted to continue to enjoy our meal. I am pretty sure we did not enjoy it!
On the cocktails menu , they advertised white peach iced tea which I ordered, expecting it to be homemade. The waiter brought me a bottle, similar to Snapple and I was charged $5.
Sadly, this was a pricey and disappointing meal for all 4 of us!

Had a great Sunday brunch at The Maidstone. The background live music provided the perfect ambiance & it was no problem that we had an additional friend join us an hour into our meal. The hospitality was amazing.

The Maidstone was great spot for a date. We made last minute switch and it turned out to be a great move. We also got lucky and found a cool table for 2 in Bar area and highly recommend that for a better scene!

The restaurant was really unique in that it was in a restored home. The experience was awesome. The décor makes you feel like you would expect from the Hamptons. The restaurant was quiet on a Sunday evening. The service was excellent and the food was great as well. I recommend this experience.

Food was excellent! My husband had the wedge salad and the pork chop and I had the crab cake and the house salad(next time I will add grilled chicken to the salad).
Staff was very attentive. We will definitely go back!

Overpriced, terrible service, horrible food. It was supposed be a special birthday celebration for my daughter and it was a disaster. With been there before and it’s been great but the new management changed the menu and servers. Do not go!!!

We were served the wrong food and got push back on it. There were very few other people and yet the staff seemed overwhelmed by our requests. We had to ask for everything several times. Other than that, the desserts were very good.

Our entire experience at the Maidstone was a complete debacle. Without going into every detail, there were a significant number of frustrating issues: it took an hour (yes one hour) to get a glass of wine, the waiter made passive aggressive comments towards a group of friends who ordered non alcoholic beverages (they don’t drink), we received “free” appetizers as an apology which later showed up on the bill and were given a wide variety of non-sensical excuses as to why it took 2+ hours to get entrees.

Since the remodel, the Maidstone isn't the same. The quality of the food and just about everything else has dropped. Also: good luck finding a spot in the parking lot.

We had a wonderful lunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Our server was delightful and attentive. She made the experience extra enjoyable with her pleasant demeanor. Most of us chose the daily specials which were all delicious. The warm buns were well worth ruining ones diet. The cappuccino and warm bread pudding were delectable as well. The renovation to The Maidstone created a warm and inviting yet fresh ambiance. I look forward to my next visit!

My partner and I were in East Hampton for an impromptu vacation weekend during the winter. I found a last minute reservation at the Maidstone & was so pleased with the find. The food was really good, the ambiance was chic, and we were treated well overall. We would definitely dine here again!

I requested a quiet table and got a very noisy table next to a party of 8. Service was slow and not very attentive. They have changed the menu significantly, and not for the better. All in all, a disappointing experience for someone who had been a big fan of this restaurant.

Waitstaff extremely unprofessional. They were not taught that it is rude to keep reaching over the table in front of a person sitting. They continually were banging into the chairs that was closest to the pathway to the kitchen. Food was mediocre. We've been there at other quiet, mid-week times and it was very good. This visit was Saturday night of President's weekend. They were packed but there was only one valet attendant. We had to wait twenty minutes in pouring rain for our car. It is apparent they can't handle a holiday weekend.

What a great date night except for the young couple that was fighting all night long. Or should I say, female was lecturing loudly to her male mate about all his faults. We heard every one. So annoying, but the restaurant can't help that nor are they responsible. They sat us in front of the fireplace and it was so cozy and romantic. Service was extremely attentive and not intrusive. The food was delicious! Will go back when we get a chance. Hopefully, the fighting guests would have broken up and won't be staying at the inn.

Great weekend stay at The Maidstone. Considerate service, limited dinner menu but all done really well. We had a interesting wine from Portugal and up the stairs we went to our room! Hamptons in the wintertime is the best.

We went on a Saturday night in December. It was noisy. Our table was nice, but it was right next to the waiters station and they were running back and forth past us all night long. The calamari were dry and too salty. The kale side was way too salty. We expected a nice upscale inn, but the food was mediocre at best.
