Food was mediocre. Arrived cold. Service friendly but SLOW
Noise level very very high
Food was perfect. Service was good but quite relaxed in terms of pace. Ambiance elegant but very quiet. Very expensive even by manhattan standards !
Disappointing to have been seated in a freezing cold side room on Christmas Eve that seemed to be make shift. I hope we did not catch a cold although we are not feeling well. It was a terrible dining experience for the prices charged. We will not return nor recommend.
Sweet potato gnocchi was the best we’ve ever had. My son and I actually ordered a third portion to share, though I shared better than he did!
The Maidstone had an off night on Sat, Dec 1st. I wondered if their usual cook was out because the meal was sub-par and not up to the standards previously experienced. Specially, the French Onion soup and the Seafood special entree were below standard. As a result, the meal was very overpriced for the quality. Very disappointing given how much we typically enjoy our meals there.
Menu not diverse enough
The art work is X rated and offensive
The Haddock was a bit too spicy for some but others were surprised at the level of spice as it was a special. Glad the meatballs are on the menu, would be nice to have them served lingonberries. They made the Birthday feel right with the candle and singing, thanks.
We always have a terrific meal here! Everything was wonderful, our waitress Sarah from Cork just made our delicious dinner that much better!!! It was really awesome!
I had dinner at the Maidstone restaurant last Saturday night. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal. The food was delicious to the point that no one wanted to let anyone have a taste of their dish.
The service was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable, energetic and very personable.
My only complaint was the noise level. The room was full and many tables had very energetic groups of younger people who don’t modulate their voices as well as I would like. Even the noise level could not spoil what was a very enjoyable evening.
Delicious food, cozy and perfect for a fall night, and wonderful, friendly service.
We enjoyed the food, service and ambiance of the Maidstone. We love that that there is a choice of sitting in different rooms, one of which had a lovely fireplace. Always a special place to dine....
Pretty place. Well cooked food. BUT, the restaurant was challenged -- too many guests, not enough help. We were served by a team made up of Restaurant Mgr and Hostess. We had reserved, but they said our table would be very noisy, so they suggested another. Unfortunately two screaming little kids not being controlled by their parents sitting next to us. The people serving were very nice, but dishes came out for 2 of us, and then 5 minutes later for the other 2 of us. The whole evening felt stressed and just on the edge of control. At the end of the evening, the very nice Mgr came over and sat down with us to commiserate. It would have been nice if she brought out some desserts, or drinks, on the house. In spite of good (not great) food, I'm not sure I'd go there again.
Waitress Sarah made the night memorable
We were so excited that the restaurant was pet friendly! The food was delicious. I had the roasted chicken and I would highly recommend trying it.
While the food was fine, the service was not. I was one of TWO tables in the whole restaurant. Had to ask repeatedly for drink refills, and it took almost forty minutes to get my egg breakfast. The ambiance is gorgeous, but it’s not likely I’ll return.
THIS PLACE IT WONDERFUL! THEY HAVE AMAZING OYSTERS AND THEIR BURGER AND CLUB SANDWICH ARE TOP TOP! I AM GOING BACK HERE AGAIN VERY SOON! ALSO, THE WAIT STAFF IS VERY GOOD AND SUPER FRIENDLY! IT IS A GREAT ATMOSPHERE AS WELL
First time eating anywhere in the Hamptons and the brunch was spectacular! I got the brioche French toast and it was the best French toast I ever ate, my fiancé got the fish sandwich and she enjoyed every bit of it, she liked how it was fried but the breading was a light coating, not like you get anywhere else. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal in a fun atmosphere in the Hamptons.
Our server Dexter was excellent, what a pro. Amazing crab pasta and maybe the best oysters ever.
The Maidstone Hotel is charming as is the bar, lounge, restaurant, sun room and outdoor seating. I always love coming here.
Unfortunately, since the hotel is under new management I find them to be understaffed, disorganized and the food lacks seasoning.
During our last meal, my husband’s salad starter arrived with all of our main courses. That meant his main course sat in the kitchen until he finished his salad. The table wasn’t large enough to bring it all together. When his main arrived it was cold.
It is worth mentioning there were very few people dining and it took 40 minutes to send out 4 dishes. I believe there were only 2 waiters and I could see them trying to service ALL areas.
We live down the street and used to love to come, we may give it another try in Winter to see how it goes.
Such nice and gracious serving food was absolutely delicious wasabi lobster and quinoa salad all delicious I will say coffee was half full and then charged us when we asked for another cup of coffee other than that this place is beautiful in decor and so comfortable. Highly recommend for an afternoon.
We had a wonderful meal in the backyard. The quality of the food was wonderful and the service, especially our server (Britni?) was exceptional. What an efficient and caring young lady. Thank you for a great experience and we're looking forward to our next meal there.
the best spot in town overlooking our gorgeous town pond and with the only tesla charging stations
We enjoyed the crab pasta and stripped bass, the oysters were also fantastic. They have expanded their wine list since my last visit, very nice list.
I love The Maidstone Hotel .... Great food , great atmosphere, the best the Hamptons has to offer.
Seafood fine dinning at its best.
Terrible service. Uncooked pasta.
I loved every aspect of the Maidstone hotel from the bar to the amazing sea food. Fit for a foodie or a place to have fun. This place had style and design from the moment you walk in. Fun fun fun
This is our second visit to the Maidstone. The food was excellent. Highly recommend the chilled lobster and the Maidstone salad. Servers were all friendly and service was top notch.
Loved everything about the restaurant except the loud noise as there are few soft surfaces in the main dining room to absorb sound, otherwise was pleasantly surprised.
Had to wait an hour to be seated despite having a reservation
Pork chop and Seafood Boil we’re both delicious. Service was attentive and very personable. Restaurant was not very busy at time of our visit, but our experience overall was outstanding.
Delicious food. Great waitstaff. We could hear each other. Updated hip decor.
Delicious food especially the lobster salad. We also had the sea bass and it was prepared perfectly! Service was great and the experience was memorable!
Great outdoor space for kids! There was a trampoline, connect four, and a ping pong table!
We were pleasant ly surprised.. Food is delicious.. Ambience lovely.. Noise level moderate.... and of course this is one of East Hampton's nicest , historic spots.... very special
My friends loved eating by the fire. The people watching was very fun.
Lovely place, great service & attention given. Horrendously noisy dining room, so very friendly Maitre d helped us escape into the
garden where we ate happily & well. Service excellent. Then, later bar scene seemed trendy & chic & fun.
We were at Maidstone for lunch and seated indoors. The food was delicious. You should try it!
Lots of mussels that weren’t open, ditto clams. Over priced. Caveat. It is the Hamptons.
