The Lazy Goat
The diverse menu was created to accommodate a variety of diner preferences with meat & cheese plates, small plates to “graze and nibble,” and main dishes.
Guests are invited to take their time while "trying a little bit of this and a little bit of that" or a "whole lot of whatever they like."
Excellent food and service. A little cool next to the window but overall a great dining experience and I will return.
Nice location, great atmosphere, beautiful views, quiet setting.
The menu seems intentionally odd, focusing on being excessively unique rather than
providing good food.
That being said, the vegan item on the menu was quite good.
Our first trip to The Lazy Giat was great! Since it was our anniversary, we were greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne by our waiter. Our food was fabulous and the service even better. Another nice touch was a message from management thanking us for our visit and wishing us a Happy Anniversary. We will return and highly recommend to others visiting Greenville
My wife and I have been dining at the Lazy Goat for years. It has been an amazing restaurant for a long time. Lately it seems just slightly..... off. Food is good but not as good as it has been in the past. My mixed drink off the menu tasted like Orange Juice and ice... with just a hint of bourbon. Kinda sad. My wife’s wine came in a dirty glass with chunks of something stuck inside the rim.
The goat cheese balls were good. Better than the last few times we’ve gone. But again... just ok.
The roasted potatoes were soggy from sitting in a pool of liquid and over-seasoned with the extra mayo all over the plate. We left after appetizers and won’t be back for a while. Sad to see that this Table 301 restaurant has fizzled out and gone flat.
Serve was extremely slow and painful. Our waiter took our bills cash and credit cards and walked around and throughout taking orders for 12 minutes (yes I timed) until he processed them. After I expressed how Uncomfortable we were with our information being carried throughout the restaurant it continued for a few more minutes
We will not return
The crowd was a bit noisy but the food and the service were superb and of course when everything is noisy people are having a good time
Just wanted to eat light and ordered goat cheese appetizer, it was delicious...also had the garlic shrimp, 4 shrimp with some greens and feta...very tasty. Also enjoyed tiramisu...I’m a huge tiramisu fan, this one was really good, just could use a bit more coffee flavor to the layers...
Waiter was super friendly. Will definitely return...
The food was excellent as were the surroundings. Service was a bit slow, however, the placed was packed due to a play next door
We are at the lazy goat before going to see Aladdin. They were so amazing - accommodating of dietary needs. We never had to ask for water to be refilled, they worked as a team and were so attentive. The food was incredible!
The Lazy Goat was amazing! The four of us shared several tapas and everything was delicious. The table favorites were the fried goat cheese bites, the crispy brussels sprouts and the Moroccan lamb. A beautiful view, perfectly executed dishes, balanced flavors and an engaging waiter all made the experience delightful.
Amazing duck confit with potatoes, roasted tomatoes, pesto aioli.
We recently visited the Lazy Goat for my husband's birthday. We had been there before several times as we like the atmosphere, food and service. Our visit was well rewarded. The small plates, especially the crispy Brussels sprouts as well as potato dish were delicious. Our waiter was quite attentive and friendly and made our visit extra special.
Very good food and atmosphere! Great place for lunch before walking around Falls Park and downtown.
We love The Lazy Goat in Greenville. The food was delicious and our server (Bryan) was one of the best we have had. We had a very nice lunch.
Anniversary dinner for 4 at 7pm. Thought it would’ve a more formal atmosphere. A bit noisy with a few families with small children that we loud and running around the table seating area near windows at bar. Food was very good quality although portion size was small for the price
Food was excellent as was the service!
It was terrible, the waitress was amazing . But it was super loud, and you couldn’t see the river . Which is why most people come. I’ve had reservations for over a week and was looking forward to it . I spent $100 plus with tip for an appetizer two entrees with drinks. Didn’t enjoy the food. It’s ridiculous. Will not be coming back unless I run a Fortune 500 company.
It wasn't out of this world and the server never came back to the table to refill drinks. Went the entire dinner on one drink.
For valentines day, they gave chocolate covered strawberries on the house to end the night. We also walked out of there with a red rose given to my fiancé for the evening. These are the little touches that separate a good experience from a great experience. Thanks for the great night!
The Mediterranean cuisine was delicious! Great atmosphere
3pm seatimg. Smaller menu but good quality.
Ordered the special and a glass of wine and went away hungry.
Scenery was nice, but food wasn’t good.
Great location. Delicious food. Great service.
Nice lunch for eight.
Food was pretty good. Service was excellent. I felt the price was a little strong for what we ate. $75 after tip for a dinner I could’ve gotten for $40 at a strong restaurant down the street. I was also double billed and am in the process of challenging that with the restaurant. We more than likely will not be going back.
We had a nice seat by the window overlooking the river. The menu choices were not extensive but all sounded delicious. Our meals were perfect and the service was very good.
Very enjoyable...perfect date night with small plates and wine
Food and service was amazing. Time between courses lagged slightly but for a busy Friday night it wasn't too bad. Truly delicious and friendly experience overall.
We came to celebrate my birthday and had our toddler with us. Our server, Audrey, was super helpful in making sure we had what we needed for him and was patient with our crazy. What’s more, I was given a dessert and glass of champagne on the house for my birthday - this mama felt SO spoiled. This has always been one of our favorite restaurants, but this clinched it. Keep it up - and NEVER take the fried goat cheese off the menu!
Thank you for sharing your special day with us! We are so happy you had a wonderful experience and look forward to seeing you again soon! FYI.....goat cheese is here to stay!! Jo Vanvick General Manager
New Chef since our last visit and new menu all of which is even better! Definetly worth a try!
Excellent food and service. View of Peace Center and watching people pass on sidewalk below was
Excellent food for the sophisticated palate! Matthew provided service with expertise and finesse! The lamb was fabulous and the scallops were perfectly prepared. Highly recommend and ask for Matthew! He is knowledgeable of the entrees and preparation. He makes great suggestions for wine parings. We will return soon. Thanks Lazy Goat for a delightful meal!
Excellent view of the river and the Peace Center. Perfect meal before the show. Food was delicious. Wine also. Can't wait to go back !
Date night before a musical at the Peace center and Lazy Goat always is a go to place that we know we will get good food and great service. Sitting outside along the river makes for a great evening.
One meal too salty . The beef in my meal was pretty tough. Regardless, I would still return.
My wife always gets the Morrocan Lamb Stew and a side of Brussels Sprouts, and was quite happy. I ordered the lollipop lamb chops and they were on the thin side -- good but not thick enough. I needed a side order of pita to go with it to make it a meal.
Very disappointed. Room had no ambiance, servers were not attentive. Nothing on the table - no salt n pepper, no flowers, no bread served. Lamb shank was luke warm and bland, octupus was horrible swimming in odd flavors and juices and salmon Greek salad very salty and poor. Really not a place to both with again.
Thank you for dining with us! Our goal is to provide a wonderful experience for each and every guest. I am very sorry you did not enjoy your evening and would love to speak with you further. We are constantly striving to make improvements and value your feedback. I look forward to hearing from you. Jo Vanvick General Manager (678) 780-7079
We went to the Lazy Goat before going to the Peace Center for a show. The food was good the service was good and it was a short walk to the Peace Center. All in all very good evening. This restaurant I strongly recommend.
