We had a great meal to celebrate my son's birthday.
Great food and friendly service with beautiful river view
We went on recommendation of an employee at Sobys. The food was great but service was unfortunately subpar.
I was frankly appalled at the service this evening. My steak was brought out without a steak knife, rendering it impossible to eat (a butter knife simply won’t do for a steak). This would not have been a problem, but the server did not check back in for more than half an hour. During that time we asked another passing server for a steak knife, which still was not forthcoming. When finally our server curled back to ask how everything was, I let him know I couldn’t say as I hadn’t had a bite of my meal yet. He looked horrified, and stated he would bring a knife. I let him know that the steak was now cold, and I would not pay for it. He did remove the steak, but no further effort was made to correct the situation (comp an app, comp a drink, have the manager check in, etc).
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about the opportunity. My sincerest apology that we did not resolve the matter before you left. There certainly was an opportunity for the server to have corrected the situation and he should have made me aware of the issue. I will be addressing this with my team. I would cherish the opportunity to speak with you personally, if you are open to it. You may reach me at 864-679-5299. Thank you, Ken Preston
Will return! The Brussels and goat cheese apps were fantastic.
I love the menu is unique and the food is delicious. Our server (Jessica) could not have been sweeter and we felt very comfortable eating inside even with the virus. The friend goat cheese balls are a must! The margherita pizza was also a great way to start our meal. I can't say enough good things.
Great place. Excellent food.
Birthday weekend. First time visit. Loved it!
The fried goat cheese was beyond outstanding and the beef dish was extraordinary. Waitress was new to the restaurant but delightful!
Excellent outdoor dining experience . Delicious food
Great spot for a casual or fancy dinner. Perfect location. Food and Service was great and I would love to go back and try some of their other fancy dishes.
Absolutely incredible. Carl hooked us up for sure. Great people, great service, great food, and great views. All around awesome!! 10/10 would recommend.
Goat cheese appetizer is one of the best appetizers I have ever had !!
Always enjoyable, date night or share with friends and family. Appreciate our window table, great service (Audrey!!) and cuisine (Lazy Paella, pizza, dipping trio and, of course, brussels sprouts. See you soon, LG!! Thank you.
The restaurant have a nice environment and the staff is very friendly. Based on my experience i think is very expensive in what they gave me, when I arrived back to my house I needed to prepare something else for me and the people I went through, the flavors are fine but the plate was more decoration than food, even the appetizer was something insignificant in a little pot, they could be better
Always an amazing time at Lazy Goat! The new manager is so accommodating even when it was packed! Food and service was excellent! We will continue to come back!
This is one of our favorite places downtown Greenville. We are never disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere. The price is also very reasonable considering the location and quality. Highly recommend.
We loved it! All the recommendations were 100% and I wanted to go back the next morning to do it all over again!
Great experience at the Lazy Goat. The food was delicious and the service was very good. Will definitely go back.
Took awhile to get seated on patio, but they were very nice about it! Food was very good. Patio is beautiful. Bring a sweater. Price is high due to location. Goat cheese was good but not what I expected (fried little balls instead of breaded chunk of creamy cheese). Roasted brussel sprouts are fantastic. Mediterranean fried chicken was good but only got dark pieces of chicken.
We went for lunch and ate outside. Service was ok...didn't seem like they were staffed for the level of patrons they had. We went on Saturday, Oct 3rd.
Lovely menu, lovely outdoor patio with beautiful views. Fried goat cheese is out of this world!
Fantastic food. Great service. Order was mistaken but they made up for it with dessert.
The Lazy Goat is my wife’s favorite restaurant in Greenville. We drive over at least once a month to dine there. They chefs and staff wonderfully accommodate her severe celiac disease. The menu is always fresh, local and delicious.
The Lazy Goat always delivers tasty food with fine ambience and a great view.
Sat by the window on the river. Watched the sun set on the town. Lots of people watching. No appetizers, shrimp agnolotti, grilled pork tenderloin with jasmine rice and corn, dessert was passion fruit creme brûlée. LG is quickly moving to the top of our list!
I enjoyed the Paella with a nice glass of Sangria. The meal made me feel like I was back in Spain!
I would highly recommend this place. The view of the river and the ambience is excellent!
I enjoy taking clients here with LetUsBuyYourHouseUpstate
The ambient, view and staff are great. The food was a little disappointing The paella was a mushy spicy rice with some chouriço,chicken and shrimp, not exactly what I know as a paella. The steak was salty and the duck was missing salt 😕. Was my friends and I first time at Lazy Goat.
Awesome Service and impeccable atmosphere wonderful food I would highly recommend it!
Little overpriced . Fri night reservation waited 30 min. Very busy . Slow service Pizza has no taste , but pork dish and pasta good . dessert good. Shouldn’t overbook if can’t handle numbers . Waiter very nice
Overall a disappointing experience. Interior felt stark and bare. Food was underwhelming and waiter was unenthusiastic. We will not return.
The lamb app was without flavor. The Paella was gummy and the chicken was sooooo overcooked.
Great experience. The ambience, wine, and service were outstanding! The food was really good as well although some of the portions were pretty small. The truffle fries were a favorite.
We met some friends for dinner on Friday 9/11/2020 around 7:30 pm. The service was excellent and we were taken care of in a timely manner. The staff was friendly and professional. The drinks were amazing, we had the Spa Day along with some domestic beers. The food was incredible! I had the salmon and my girlfriend had the flank steak. I chose the Lazy Goat since we had never been and I was proposing to my girlfriend afterwards. She was impressed by the whole evening!
Fantastic service! Best brussel sprouts I've ever had.
It had been a while since I'd been to the restaurant but my experience was even better this time. Our waiter was wonderful, very attentive and had a great personality. The food was delish! I originally had a party of 5 and it dwindled to being a party of 3. Boy did the other two miss out! Can't wait for a return visit.
Beautiful space. Good food. The duck duck goat flat bread was the highlight. A very pleasant evening.
The three appetizers were phenomenal - brussel sprouts, truffle fries, and goat cheese balls! The outdoor seating was pleasant and the drinks were refreshing. Definitely recommend!
We had a nice experience however we were warned they were short-staffed. It was ok as it was a leisurely lunch. The waitress forgot the truffle fries and brought them out at the end of the meal, which wasn’t ideal. I’d have thought they’d have comped the fries. We were a group of 8 and the gesture would have been appreciated
Amazing food and beautiful view. My favorite stop in Greenville!
