Food and service is always very, very good at this restaurant. Promotions (like birthdays) is an added bonus and incredibly generous.
It's been a couple of years since being at this location and post-Covid, however I was disappointed with the kitchen. The bisque was lukewarm and the ribeye was requested as medium, received medium rare. The bake potato can't compare with other's for the price - it was small/medium and overcooked/old. Need to get lessons from Houston's/Hillstone or Pappas's kitchens. In reference to the key lime pie, not sure but it has a subtle bitter taste that made you suspect it wasn't fresh and it wasn't the lime.
Our waitress was great, but the kitchen or the value doesn't work anymore.
In the past, this was a local go to for a great steak. I was excited to take a friend here who never been but was somewhat disappointed that the steak which is best eaten hot off the grill with mash potatoes was warm and had been sitting out while the shrimp oscar was being prepared. Timing is everything when you pay $40 for a fine steak. I was disappointed more that our waiter did not bring out our steaks (just sent someone to drop it off) and ensure it was to our liking. The steak got colder as we awaited the waiter to arrive to tell of our dismay. The manager was very apologetic, explained what happened and handles the bill which I appreciated. TIP: in this time of customer service, reviews and social media, the best response is communication. When customers are paying expensive priced for food the courtesy is keep them informed on the delay (waiting only allows me to draw my own conclusion or feel dejected). I would have preferred a late hot steak then a questionable long wait for my meal, cold with no accountable on the mishap. Kudos: Again the manager handled the situation and I plan to go back for a do over because I know this is not normal.
It was our first time there and we definitely loved it 😊
Food was very slow and incorrectly cooked.
Very nice place, excellent food, waiter was excellent. They cared about our reservation and the special reason we were there!
As always it is a pleasure when dining at The Keg in Las Colinas. From the greeting we receive when entering the establishment, to the person seating us. We have always been impressed by the impeccable service with attention to detail. Our compliments to Estephania, who has been our server in the past. She is bubbly, with a very pleasing attitude, and attention to ensure our dining experience is A+. A shout out to the chef/cook staff. They are the best, and should get more recognition for the work they do to present such great foods.
Having been a patron from the first day The Keg in Las Colinas opened (over 20 years ago) we have NEVER been disappointed. Keep up the great work you do.
There is one thing we are asking is that you will please let your corporate office see this comment, so they too can share in the success of The Keg in Las Colinas, TX.
Extremely slow service, especially when there were only a few tables.
Food and service was most excellent. Highly recommend this to anyone.
The restaurant was clean, the vibe was good and the menu offered great options.
Enjoyed a quiet Sunday evening at The Keg. We started in the bar for a drink and baked brie. The Orange slice martini was very easy drinking and refreshing. Ordered a glass of Happy Hour wine to take to our table to have with dinner. The Classic dinner, bacon wrapped filet, cooked medium rare was perfect, a ton of food comes with the classic, I chose the Caesar salad which was huge, twice baked potato was hot and tasty, and mushrooms come with the Classic dinner as well as the fresh grilled zucchini and red bell pepper that comes with all of the steaks. Our server for dinner was very attentive and friendly.
Our waiter Michael was excellent and made the entire experience great. Food was outstanding and delicious!
Our waiter was great. He showed such appreciation for our, soon to be, military family member. Food was delicious and the dessert was an unexpected, tasty treat.
We celebrated our 43rd anniversary with The Keg. Last year we weren't able to do so...therefore we were looking forward to continuing our patronage with The Keg. We had our first date at The Keg in Fort Worth 44 years ago and it's our "go to" place for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, etc. Love the atmosphere, food and service.
Gets painfully cheaper and cheaper every time. That was probably the last.
It was perfect for a business dinner. I think at around 7:00, they turned on the music. We could have done without that but fortunately we were nearly finished by then.
Our service was excellent. Our waiter Russell did an outstanding job and did not miss a beat. The food was spectacular!
We attended the Keg Steakhouse for Mother's Day Brunch. The service was incredible and the food was outstanding. Our waiter was very respectful and knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. An overall wonderful experience !!!!!
The afternoon started out nice but it became clear that the staff's advance notice of "we're normally not open for lunch" was actually a warning for poor service and cold food to come. We were diligently cared for at the beginning with our drinks, appetizers and salads arriving promptly. Then our entrees came out cold and dry, as if they had been sitting under a heating lamp for an extended time. Our server returned to ask about dessert and we placed our order to share as a table. The dessert came out before our entree dishes were cleared. The dessert runner failed to clear the table so we had a mountain of dishes we were arm wrestling with to try to share a dessert. Not the caliber of service or presentation we have grown accustomed to with the Keg.
Mother’s Day Dinner. Waitress and a staff were awesome. Cocktails were really good. Our steaks and veggies were bland. Not much flavor.
Been going to the Keg for 6 years. This visit Saturday before Mother's Day was the most disappointing I've ever had there. Service was slow, didn't see server from time we ordered until we asked for him when we finished our food. The sides were all cold, steak was warm. Didn't get drink that was ordered. Appeared to be short staffed as servers were few, tables were not all full, though many people were waiting to be seated. Food wait was twice as long as normal. We asked the server to send over the manager about the food, no one came.
It's a shame as my many, many visits previously were very good to great. If this is the way it's going to be moving forward, I'll have a hard time returning.
6 adults celebrating our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Drinks were amazing! Food was great. Service was very slow. We mentioned before arriving that we were celebrating a big event.
Service was extremely slow. Salmon was overcooked and dry. They changed the recipe for the Brussel sprout. They're now roasted. They were dry and had no flavor.
Great steaks and pleasant atmosphere
We celebrated my son’s 16th birthday there Wednesday night and it was terrific! Enjoyed everything.
An excellent and very pleasant dinner experience. Delicious food, very attentive and friendly service (thank you, Maddie and Brian!), nice/comfortable surroundings. My first visit was last summer and the restaurant was so quiet one could have whispered across the room — pandemic issues obviously hit them hard. This time, there was a much better crowd and positive energy — people obviously enjoying themselves as the world heads back to normal. Got my first chance to try the prime rib for which they are famous and it was, indeed, delicious. Ate every bite, ended up too full to even think about dessert. Maybe they could offer a slightly smaller cut at some point in the future and tempt us to finish off our "stuffing" with something sweet! :-) That's the closest to a criticism I have — a great experience, a great restaurant, definitely worth a visit.
Service was a 10
Our first time out because of the pandemic. It was great.
Waiter forgot to bring our salads, instead served the entree first.
Attentive service with great suggestions. Food was fantastic as always.
Both of our servers were awesome! Great night! Fun!
Best service I’ve had in a while. Our server Paul was amazing! Food was great too but I’m a sucker for great server.
Great food and service
Our server, Andrew, was fantastic. He was very accommodating when one of our guests ended up being quite late for our reservation. He was also very knowledgable about the wine and menu selections.
Warm and friendly greeters.
Place was spotless!
Seat by fireplace was sooooo nice!
Waiter Adam super! and was fun!
Great quantity of fabulous food!
We were waiting for more than 1 hour to get the meals. Food was okay but not special. The next table party was very noisy and make us headache.
Food was good and service great
Quality of food was good. Pricing was fair. Service was slow.
