Great food overall. Slight problem with filet was quickly replaced.
It was great as always.
Portion size of food is a little small for the price on steak and lobster, peppercorn strip and ribs were about right
Overall, the food was just okay. We’ve gone to the Keg in Montreal twice and loved the food, so we were disappointed in this meal. I originally ordered the teriyaki sirloin, only to be told they were sold out. I had to go with the blue cheese bacon filet which was undercooked based on my medium well ask. The macaroni and cheese was standard. The veggies with gnocchi lacked flavor and definitely not worth the upcharge. It was empty when we arrived at 8:45pm on a Friday, and I understand why. There are much better steakhouse options available.
We had one raw steak and one very overcooked steak. The preparation of the steaks was not consistent.
Absolutely. My wife and I were on a date night and had a great time over dinner. We relaxed in a quiet atmosphere with our dinner. The staff was great as well.
Very good service. The food and drinks there have always been enjoyable.
Excellent service and food. The only snag was another waitperson took one of our meals, so that person has to wait. However the restaurant comped the item.
Excellent top sirloin at a reasonable price with excellent service
Food arrived tepid, one steak over cooked, 3x prime rib very tuff, 1x filet very good and tender. Over priced for the quality of the food. Wait staff was polite and efficient however we did wait a little long for our main course. I don't think it was the wait staffs fault, they were not very busy. Overall I will not be going back.
The service and food was great as always, but the kitchen service was a little slow.
The prime rib is one of their specialties and for a gods reason. Prime rib is excellent quality and had excellent au jus sauce, horseradish and another sauce that was tasty.
My wife had a blue cheese fillet mignon that was also prepared great.
Only upsetting thing was that their espresso machine is broken. I like capping off a fine meal with a little dessert and espresso. Without the espresso I skipped the dessert. Their loss of sale and I was not fully satisfied with what a fantastic meal.
Keg is always great. Food, atmosphere, service! You can’t ask for more! Too bad they are not open for lunch. I miss that very much!
We ordered takeout numerous times during COVID and had some great meals so wanted to do in person dining for a change. It should have been better experience than takeout but in this case it was worse. This was only the 2nd time our waitress had served a table by herself and unfortunately she had a difficult time pacing the meal. After serving us wine and a Baked Brie appetizer she immediately brought the salad. When we asked to slow things down a bit so we could finish the appetizer, we had no idea that would it would take 45 minutes to get our entrees. While my husband’s steak was cooked nicely and flavorful my $33 halibut was horrible. It was a thinly cut piece of fish and nothing like the nice halibut filet I previously got for takeout. It was served over limp, mushy, and pale green asparagus. The meal was lukewarm as if it had been sitting for a bit. Such a disappointment. Quality and service certainly need improvement.
I fell bad. The service was not the best. She was in training. While due to an error our meal was taken care of by the manager. The steak was full of grisel and tough. Not to mention not the right steak or cooked to my request. Not a good experience.
Food was horrible... Food took to long to come out... horrible experience for Father’s Day
Had an amazing 1st time experience for Father’s Day!!! Our waitress Kristen was AWESOME SAUCE!!! She’s definitely deserving of a raise and paid vacation time ASAP!!!
We had an amazing time at The Keg steakhouse. The food was terrific, our waiter was attentive and the environment was great! We will definitely be coming back!
Father’s Day celebration was excellent
Our dinner gathering was to celebrate my birthday and Father’s Day. The waitress Victoria was just exceptional. She was the best part of this dinner gathering. The majority of our party of 8 ordered the Prime Rib. But it was a big disappointment. The Prime Rib wasn’t very well seasoned, too chewy and the au jus was awful. Not what we’re used to and expect from other competing restaurants. We expected better. The man meal/steak is the meal. Plus this place was very loud when full. You have to yell to speak. So this birthday and Father’s Day gathering wasn’t a very good experience whatsoever. I don’t think we will be back to this establishment.
Overall the steak and chicken were well cooked and delicious; however the lobster tails and cooked vegetables were over-cooked. Enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and the waiter was very professional, friendly and knowledgable of the menu content.
Staff was kind and helpful but also very slow. Dinner took 2 hours. The food was average at best. Not worth the money. I had a better steak at a random touristy place in Fort Worth.
Every date night has been perfect so far. Food, service ambience
Will always return
We have always enjoyed dining at the keg, but last night it just didn’t measure up. Our steaks were a bit salty, and not as tender as usual. Not worth the price.
ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, as ALWAYS. We missed THE COUPON FOR ORDERING THE FATHER'S WEEKEND SPECIAL, BUT love THIS place!
Our server Victoria was very attentive and made the experience wonderful.
Food and service is always very, very good at this restaurant. Promotions (like birthdays) is an added bonus and incredibly generous.
It's been a couple of years since being at this location and post-Covid, however I was disappointed with the kitchen. The bisque was lukewarm and the ribeye was requested as medium, received medium rare. The bake potato can't compare with other's for the price - it was small/medium and overcooked/old. Need to get lessons from Houston's/Hillstone or Pappas's kitchens. In reference to the key lime pie, not sure but it has a subtle bitter taste that made you suspect it wasn't fresh and it wasn't the lime.
Our waitress was great, but the kitchen or the value doesn't work anymore.
In the past, this was a local go to for a great steak. I was excited to take a friend here who never been but was somewhat disappointed that the steak which is best eaten hot off the grill with mash potatoes was warm and had been sitting out while the shrimp oscar was being prepared. Timing is everything when you pay $40 for a fine steak. I was disappointed more that our waiter did not bring out our steaks (just sent someone to drop it off) and ensure it was to our liking. The steak got colder as we awaited the waiter to arrive to tell of our dismay. The manager was very apologetic, explained what happened and handles the bill which I appreciated. TIP: in this time of customer service, reviews and social media, the best response is communication. When customers are paying expensive priced for food the courtesy is keep them informed on the delay (waiting only allows me to draw my own conclusion or feel dejected). I would have preferred a late hot steak then a questionable long wait for my meal, cold with no accountable on the mishap. Kudos: Again the manager handled the situation and I plan to go back for a do over because I know this is not normal.
It was our first time there and we definitely loved it 😊
Food was very slow and incorrectly cooked.
Very nice place, excellent food, waiter was excellent. They cared about our reservation and the special reason we were there!
As always it is a pleasure when dining at The Keg in Las Colinas. From the greeting we receive when entering the establishment, to the person seating us. We have always been impressed by the impeccable service with attention to detail. Our compliments to Estephania, who has been our server in the past. She is bubbly, with a very pleasing attitude, and attention to ensure our dining experience is A+. A shout out to the chef/cook staff. They are the best, and should get more recognition for the work they do to present such great foods.
Having been a patron from the first day The Keg in Las Colinas opened (over 20 years ago) we have NEVER been disappointed. Keep up the great work you do.
There is one thing we are asking is that you will please let your corporate office see this comment, so they too can share in the success of The Keg in Las Colinas, TX.
Extremely slow service, especially when there were only a few tables.
Food and service was most excellent. Highly recommend this to anyone.
The restaurant was clean, the vibe was good and the menu offered great options.
Enjoyed a quiet Sunday evening at The Keg. We started in the bar for a drink and baked brie. The Orange slice martini was very easy drinking and refreshing. Ordered a glass of Happy Hour wine to take to our table to have with dinner. The Classic dinner, bacon wrapped filet, cooked medium rare was perfect, a ton of food comes with the classic, I chose the Caesar salad which was huge, twice baked potato was hot and tasty, and mushrooms come with the Classic dinner as well as the fresh grilled zucchini and red bell pepper that comes with all of the steaks. Our server for dinner was very attentive and friendly.
Our waiter Michael was excellent and made the entire experience great. Food was outstanding and delicious!
Our waiter was great. He showed such appreciation for our, soon to be, military family member. Food was delicious and the dessert was an unexpected, tasty treat.
We celebrated our 43rd anniversary with The Keg. Last year we weren't able to do so...therefore we were looking forward to continuing our patronage with The Keg. We had our first date at The Keg in Fort Worth 44 years ago and it's our "go to" place for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, etc. Love the atmosphere, food and service.
