   Hmmm. Where to start? We were sat by a friendly hostess. Waited about 15 minutes at our table. No server, no water, no nothing. The restaurant was sparsely populated, which wasn’t a good sign, but maybe we were early for brunch? There were actually more staff at the restaurant than patrons. Except, none that actually provided any service. To us, anyway. We walked out.

   Service could be much improved. We had to remind staff many times about drinks we had ordered which did not arrive

   Fish and chips was delicious, one member of staff in floral Jacket quite surly, didn’t want to be sat by the toilets so had to go back to the front door to wait for another table, the food was delicious,the breakfast tea and earl grey tea were both horrible.

   Service they have to bring it up a couple of notches compare to other Ivy branches. Luckily the food from the kitchen is great, overall good place to catch up with friends in W8 area.

   We enjoyed a nice Easter brunch at The Ivy. When I asked out hotel's concierge where he would take his mother if he were taking her to brunch he immediately said The Ivy. It did not disappoint. The service was great and we found our meals delicious.

   Nice food but very crammed in tables and disappointed with the level of service for the reputation and price. They didn't know very common drinks such as a Whiskey Mac and a floater coffee ! It seems if they weren't on the menu then they couldn't serve which was a shame.

   As usual,I booked the 1917 menu which is good value,but my companions wanted Shepherd's pie and so went a la carte. The Ivy West St.is an institution. The others offer reliable food and service a cut above the ordinary. The wine was reasonably priced for London and big glasses. Ann wanted custard,which they don't do but settled for profiteroles. I wanted apple tarte which is baked fresh,so we waited and then found out it was not ordered. That said it was very popular at 1830 on a Tuesday evening,and rightly so. No problem splitting the bill. They know what they are doing.

    Although the wine and alcohol list is long, the cheapest bottle of wine is £38 and a glass of wine is around £15. Too expensive. Would be good if you could please offer cheaper alternatives. The food menu is good but it has been the same for a while. This branch is very nicely decorated and it was great to be able to sit at the back in the terrace.
