First time eating dinner here, pleasantly surprised. We really like everything about it, even the chefs choice of music. Will be back, the food is delicious.
I had let them know in advance it was our anniversary. There was no recognition of this.
The server/bartender seemed always distracted and left our glasses empty while she socialized with other staff. My wife's salad was virtually inedible, a spicy base sauce gave her indigestion. My entree was extremely small as were the drinks. Any positive buzz is greatly undeserved. On top of all this it is extremely overpriced
Awesome food!! Have been going here for a number of years and never dissapointed. Chef/owner is creative and changes it up on a regular basis. Their pasta is made on premise and sooo good. Staff is excellent and host/owner is engaging which is nice in these go-go times. Wine list is complete but leans towards expensive and while they make a nice Manhatten it's missing the all important Luxardo cherry garnish. Deserts won't dissapoint but if like to have fresh coffee/cappacino with it your out of luck but after dinner drink is good substitute :)
That aside, this place is perfect in so many ways and in my opinion, among the best Delray has to offer.
Food is amazing each and every time we go. Duck was outstanding. Hidden gem.
The grove is a quiet well hidden little bit of paradise in DelRay. The food is always outstanding but honestly the portions are very small for the prices. One ravioli though large was $18. The octopus was one tentacle. It is definitely a special occasion restaurant and not just a night out kind of place.
The food is phenomenal!
Can’t believe this was our 1st time dining at the Grove. Everything was perfect including the service. Definitely will add the Grove to favorites on my dining list.
Delray’s top dinning experience - quite and tucked away off the avenue. Whether you’re looking for just a drink in the bar, to celebrate a special occasion, or simply a week night out, the Grove is an exceptional experience. Great food, exquisitely prepared, phenomenal service, but with a local ambiance that is warm and welcoming.
By far, the best restaurant in Delray Beach and beyond. Wonderful unique preparations.
This restaurant is always good. It is cozy, nice food
And the owners are always there to make sure you have always the best quality food.
The Grove is always perfection- from the perfectly crafted cocktails, imaginative dishes coming from the kitchen, and masterfully curated playlist setting the ambiance. Skip the crowds on Atlantic & head over to The Grove instead.
My favorite restaurant in Delray Beach!!! Creative and delicious food!!
one of our favorites for years Michael and Paul great hosts and true professionals.
food is great and ambiance feels like out of the way Napa dining.
Great meal. Great service. We have been there before and it has never disappointed us.
Staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgable. The food was excellent, my fish was perfectly cooked and the short ribs were nothing short of amazing. Overall an excellent dining experience!
As usual, the grove busted out incredible food and service! The entire experience at the this place SCREAMS five star! Go. Actually, run.
My wife and I had the semi-pleasure of dining at The Grove (Delray) last Saturday evening, September 22, 2018. We found the Grove's atmosphere to be pleasing and trendy and the quality of the food to be very good. That being said, the portions are very small and the pricing for such amounts to be extremely high. Worst of all, the drink prices are extraordinarily high! I had a simple margarita concocted with the bars "well" tequila...$15 in a small rocks glass. My wife had a Aperol spritz in a white wine glass also at $15. For my main course, I ordered the "Boneless Short Ribs" for near $35> Upon arrival there were 2 small slices of what seemed to be Brisket (stringy meat) and not short ribs at all.
After dinner we went to the main drag, had another round of the same cocktails for a total of $18 for the 2 in larger quantity. I have a saying...if you are going to rob me, at least use a weapon. Needless to say, we will not return.
We have eaten at The Grove about 4-5 times now and every time has been outstanding. The service is amazing, the owner Paul is welcoming and I can tell takes great pride in his work. To top it off the food is the best Ive had throughout Florida. Were so glad to have found this place
It is always a pleasure to come all the way from Miami to have dinner at this wonderful gem in Delray Beach. Just to have the Foie Gras worth the commute.
The Grove is one if not my #1 favorite restaurant in the Delray/Boca area. The food is always fabulous and the service is great- it is a gem!
There’s no such thing as perfection unless you’re eating at the grove.
Overall, the place is good. Nice atmosphere. Food is delicious. We did have to wait 35 minutes to get our drinks - which should never happen regardless of how busy the place is, and frankly, it wasn't that busy. When we finally got the drinks, they got it wrong - another 15 minutes until they did. The server wasn't all warm and fuzzy, but that was even tolerable. The thing that capped off the night was when the host asked the people at the table next to us to leave because the next seating was waiting - I have never seen that, ever (and they weren't even lingering). Just an overall bizarre dining experience from someone who lives right next door - disappointing.
Never ever been disappointed. Six years of excellence.
Just a wonderful place. Always a great experience. Menu changes often and though menu is small and limited every dish is outstanding. My favorite restaurant for the last few years. Always look forward to going. Hope the valet parking issue is resolved before season. That’s my only concern.
Absolutely wonderful, this was our favorite dining experience in Delray.
Love the grove. Favorite restaurant in delray. Had the foie and tuna then the raviolis. Both were great. Be there again soon.
Server was just your average server. It was slow at the restaurant so I can’t blame her for not being energetic.
Server was knowledgeable about the cuisine.
Food wise I was amazed. So much flavor, everything was perfect temperature wise as well. Only issue was portion size, but then again the QUALITY of the food was that high so portions can be smaller.
Definitely going back.
I appreciated the chef coming over and dropping off food as well.
Absolutely outstanding. Preceded my expectations
2 meals were great, third was less than mediocre.
Although we’ve been several times since they opened, this visit was very enjoyable-
The ‘new’ Bar area was fine, if a bit noisy...
But dining room was quite comfy, w/ jazz music (nice touch) playing low enough you could actually enjoy a conversation..!! How innovative.. LOL
Food was very good, nice wine selection, service was attentive & it all made for a very comfortable experience..will definitely put in an appearance more often.
We had been here years ago and really enjoy it. Saw they were part of restaurant week and decided to try it again.
Choice of 3 starters and we both ordered the PORTOBELLO MUSHROOM SOUP,
hazelnut, goat cheese, and grilled country bread. Couldn't taste any mushroom flavors, the bread was great.
For mains, they offer 2 and we ordered 1 of each. DOPPIO RAVIOLO with summer corn, black truffle camembert, and guanciale, just ok. My wife ordered the BRIOCHE CRUSTED CHICKEN with chorizo, braised collards, and gruyere polenta. She wasn't impressed.
We ordered the 2 choices for dessert, HEATH BREAD PUDDING ,griddled, and vanilla ice cream and the CHOCOLATE-RASPBERRY TART with a pedro ximenez sabayon. Both just fair.
They have a limited and pricey wine list.
Amazing food and great service always! Never disappoints and it’s Delray Restaurant Week. The menu has been extended through August Tuesday, Wednesday , and Thursday.
Looking forward to returning soon!
Our meal at the Grove was spectacular. We went for Dine Out Delray and had the three course price fixe. My wife can not stop raving about the perfect egg. We will go back just for that. I had the portabella mushroom soup as a first course deliciously earthy. We both had the chicken as a main dish all of the ingredients mixed well together and the creamy gruyere polenta was an excellent compliment. For desert the raspberry chocolate tart was great and the Heat Bar bread pudding drew raves. Overall it was the beat meal we have had in Delray we will be going back often,
Amazing food, great service, great ambiance. The Grove made our anniversary one of the best! Highly recommend. Food is for those willing to experiment and try for the first time.
Great food, great wait staff. We were at awe at how impressed we were with all of our selections. From the portabella mushroom soup, the perfect egg, the chicken with polenta and collard greens, the ravioli and of course the outstanding bread pudding....omg we will be back. Our taste buds were screaming with joy!
The menu is small but varied. Each dish is a gem. All are delicious. Very creative cuisine. The music is relaxing background music that allows conversation. Servers and the host/owner are pleasant and knowledgeable and accommodating. Decor is simple modern and sophisticated. We’ll go again and again for an all around excellent dining experience
I had a great experience at The Grove from the moment I walked in the door, drenched from an unexpected rain storm, when the maître d’ offered me and my friend towels to dry off and even a spare shirt if I needed. The atmosphere is very classy, yet laid back and comfortable, a perfect fit for the well composed menu of New American/Californian cuisine. The Hudson Valley foie gras ties for the bestbive had, along with then I had it at Restaurant Gary Danko in San Francisco. And the Nutella Donuts and Heath Bar bread pudding are more than worth the calories. The prices are pretty high, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend to any foodie looking for a relaxed and interesting meal.
$135 for 4 slices of fatty wagyu.
The mahi was tasteless . Would not recommend
Always fabulous!!!! Just love this wonderful smaller intimate restaurant. Lovely atmosphere. A little bit off the beaten path. My absolute favorite place to eat.
Awesome as always!
