Grossly understaffed. Our waiter tried his best to give good service but was loaded up with tables and couldn’t get our order, drinks or even missing silverware in a timely manner. We asked three bus people for assistance and they couldn’t even help us. Our table and view were excellent but even that couldn’t make up for poor service.

Filet tasted like rubber. Would recommend you go there, just don’t get the Filet.

Went for special event (even told them). Service very slow, took a while for drinks. Food was average. Then they played a game with the bill. Charged us $50 for a glass of wine expecting we wouldn't take the time to look. Disappointing since the view is spectacular. There are better places in Newport to go.

Went here to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, the night was scarred by slow service, slim menu choices (many menu items were sold out) and mediocre food. The service: had an 8:30 dinner reservation. At 10pm we were still waiting for our entrees. We were going to cut our losses and leave without completing the meal but were assured the food would be right out. Not so much. The menu: they were out of many items including Scallops, Swordfish, Bread (how can a restaurant run out of bread, especially when customers have to pay for it), Mashed potatoes and Fluke. We were told they were “busy at lunch.” The food: small portions of “nothing special”.

Do not show up, order dinner past 7pm or plan on eating at 11pm. Server was great but being served at 10pm did not fly.

I should have known when we arrived 5 minutes early that our reservation would be late in seating us and we were told that we could sit in the bar and that the kitchen was so swamped that no food could be served in the bar. Our Port old Fashioned was a meager pour though tasty. Each drink was $23.00. I coukd buy an entire bottle for slightly more that that. Then ordered and waited for my dinner, broiled scallops. What I received was 3 SMALL scallops a limp string bean an overcooked scallion and an unknown third long vegetable. This all was served on a bed of hot sauce that could not be used as it would completely overpower the scallops. All of this for $35.00. This entire evening was in my opinion a total rip off. I have since commented frequently to me friends about this dreadful experience. If you check my other reviews you will find me normally quite complimentary. NOT THIS TIME. Thank you for reading.

The outdoor view was lovely. Overall the food quality was great. Only complaint was the chips served with the caviar were too small and fragile for adequate dipping. We (group of four) were very disappointed by the service. We ordered several items to share. I asked the server to course it out for us. All the food items came before our cocktails. The cocktails sat on the bar for at least 10 minutes (we could see them from our table) and were warm when they got to us (chilled drinks sitting in the sun). Because all the food came out at once, it was crowded on the table, which made it uncomfortable to eat. We had to ask people to clear dirty dishes. We had to ask for a crab claw (we ordered the seafood tower). Our server didn’t check on us after the food came, and in fact we only talked with her two times: to order and when we paid the check. Our bus person was really nice and attentive, (he is who we had to ask for the crab claw, another cocktail, etc) so I don’t want the poor service rating reflecting on him. Again, the food and the view were lovely, but we would not go back because of the service.
