The Grill at Forty 1° North is a dockside restaurant designed to deliver a fresh, upscale dining and entertainment experience while providing a unique and serene respite from Newport’s bustling waterfront scene. The menu features grilled meats, seafood and raw bar, as well as organic and locally sourced selections. There is an open-air dining area, with individual tables and bar seating surrounding the covered Pavilion. Inviting waterside lounge seating creates a perfect setting to relax with cocktails and conversation. Indoors the Dining Room, Oval Bar and Lounge offer sweeping views of the Harbor in a casual yet elegant setting to enjoy timeless cocktails and our full menu.

I usually love Forty 1 North - It's usually a must go but this time we had an early reservation, many tables were still open and when we asked to get seated at a different table instead of being shoved in the back corner they made us wait 15 minutes to see if it was possible. They had also got our order wrong for one of the dishes but had that corrected. The food is still good, was just disappointed by the staff in the beginning.

Our waiter Heath was amazing !! Very friendly and very knowledgeable. Food was amazing and so are the views.

With the new chef, the food is exquisite. The menu has changed all for the better and lodging the menu and offering a variety of dining pleasures. It’s a welcome change from the last 11 years of the same menu.

Such a great restaurant! The food, service, ambiance was all perfect. Also very dog friendly, they let our dog sit inside beside the table with us and brought him a bowl of water. I highly recommend the grill and will definitely be coming back!

My new wife and I came here for a nice dinner on our honeymoon. The food was fantastic. The taste was good, and the dining experience (both location and the way the food was presented) was out of thus world. I highly recommend it for vacationers and honeymooners.
