We loved our date night at the Grey. We had reservations, and were seated immediately. The atmosphere was a little louder than we were expecting though. It was rather difficult to have a conversation. The cheese puff amuse-bouche was an unexpected treat! Wish that would have been on the menu as an appetizer! We started with the Grouper toast. While good, it wasn't anything particularly memorable. It paired pretty well with the Metroliner cocktail. The food was EXCELLENT. My wife ordered the pork, and I ordered the lamb. A note about the lamb though - it was spicy! While I was OK with that, others might be put off. The beignets were an excellent finish to our meal. I want to finish by highlighting the service. It was OUTSTANDING. Our server took excellent care of us, answered any and all questions, and was just great! My biggest regret is not catching her name in the beginning. We went to the Mansion on Forsyth last month, and this place BLOWS it away in overall experience. With so many great choices in Savannah, this one stands out.

Went here for a birthday dinner, the service was excellent and the food was even better. We loved being able to see in the beautiful kitchen and watch it operate under a lot of natural light.

Started off with very slow service. Waiter seemed to have too many tables. we were stuck in a strange booth with no view of the cool interior, by the kitchen door. This seems to happen with Open Table reservations :? Next time we will asked to be moved. Wine came out very warm (by the glass), he could only offer ice cubes, for a $14 glass of wine! He seemed unconcerned. After the initial speed bumps, the food came out timely, was excellent, portions were large. Trout, Lamb shoulder, heirloom tomato salad were all excellent. Smashed potatoes are a must!

My husband and I came here for dinner while visiting Savannah for a quick weekend away from New York City. Everything about our meal was spot on. Our server Christopher was excellent - he answered all of our questions and gave perfect recommendations, plus he was just incredibly delightful overall. We started with the crab and coconut, which was light and delicious. Next we had fried eggplant which I highly recommend. It would be my favorite dish of the night except my husband's yardbird was absolute perfection! I had the lamb and loved it as well. Can't go wrong with either of those entrees. The menu is not very extensive, but I have a feeling that anything you order here will be amazing!

The pacing of when the food came out was a little slow, was delicious however, I definitely recommend the lamb. Staff was very courteous. The spot we sat in was a little too close to others, wasn't very private but the atmosphere of the restaurant was fun and lively.

Everything was wonderful – from the hostess and valet to the meal and service! We had a fantastic experience here. All of the food was delicious and carefully prepared. Our server, Julia, was knowledgeable and helpful. We even got to meet the chef, Mashama. Fantastic experience all around!

Wonderful experience and meal. Lots to look at including a very entertaining bartender. Staff is exceptional and our server, Kelly, was fantastic. Food is creatively and beautifully served (the mignonette for the raw oysters is in a tiny dropper bottle) and the palate cleanser was a lovely ice pop! Flounder was devine, as was the eggplant, and the summer bean side dish, well, just bring it out with a spoon and it will be my dinner. Finished with peach pie and ice cream...delish. Oh, the cocktails are beautiful as well as excellent, AND garnished with edible flowers. We will be back!!

My husband and I enjoyed the Father's Day-themed Sunday Supper. It was a prix fixe menu, which I do not always like, but in this case it was fantastic. The food was delicious, a nice variety of dishes that accompanied each other well, and there was plenty of it for the two of us. I wish we lived closer so we could go back to the Grey more often!

This place was the greatest. One of the best meals I've ever had and I travel a lot. Order the potatoes and sour cream side. Our server said it was the "best thing on this planet." He was right!! The fish was great, the wine was great, the service was great. The ambiance is fun and funky. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. The Grey's reputation as one of the city's top restaurants is well deserved.

I was blown away by The Grey. Our hostess started the evening with a tour of the facility and a brief history of the old Greyhound Bus station. The food was exception. I ordered oysters from Washington State, snapper crudo, fried eggplant and spicy quail. Every dish was beautifully conceived and executed. I highly recommend The Grey.

Ambience is cold and extremely noisy. The overall menu was not interesting. Our meal, the goat, was overcooked and dry. However, the service was excellent, although it is off-putting to see the wait staff drinking from their water bottles in full view of the diners. The Grey is pricey and not a good value for what is delivered. I would not recommend this restaurant.

The "grey" part refers to the fact that the old Greyhound Bus Station used to occupy the space. The decor is modern and pleasing, but the noise level can become annoying. One gripe I have is that our reservation was for 7:45 and we did not receive our main dish till after 8:45. Our server (did not catch her name) was efficient and pleasant, but the food , IMHO, was not as gourmet as it could have bee. I did love the oysters on the half-shell we had as an hors-d'oeuvre, but my whole fire-roasted trout had a very ordinary-tasting sauce. If I go back, I'll probably order a couple of the "starters" instead of "starter + main".
