The Grand Marlin of Pensacola Beach
Wonderful as always. Good wine list, good service., great fresh seafood. Always have to have the crispy lobster appetizer. Best wedge salad ever, with balsamic vinaigrette and blue cheese. I had the pompano special with crab Oscar topping. Excellent. Wife had the fresh wahoo with verde sauce, also very good . Wonderful key lime pie to finish the night. Are outside, good music, great weather. Favorite place in Pensacola Beach.
This was our first visit but will definitely not be our last. My husband had the swordfish which was fabulous. I enjoyed the blackened mahi mahi which was excellent. They were both served w/ mashed potatoes & grilled vegetables which were seasoned to perfection. The server was very knowledgeable & recommendations for sauces to compliment the fish dishes were spot on. We had several visits from the service manager to ensure everything was perfect as well as to point out the dolphins surfacing across the highway. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable dining experience from start to finish.
Sat on the patio for a late night meal on a Wednesday night. Can't say enough about the food. We started with a dozen of the most succulent oysters I've ever had with a refreshing mignonette sauce. I took the advice of our server and had the grouper which was fantastic. My colleagues had the tuna and mahi mahi which they reported to be excellent as well. Our server was attentive, fun and very knowledgeable about the relatively long wine list that happened to be half price. My only criticism is that the kitchen messed up my order, but my substitution was a deviation from the menu and I'll take asparagus over spinach every time and the lack of ambiance on the patio. Pretty minor stuff.
Best in Pensacola Beach. Food, view, and service are the best. Scotty is as good as any sever in Florida. Perfect !
Great service with a sense of humor.
We went to the Grand Marlin to celebrate my birthday. It was an enjoyable outing made even better by our waitress, Liz, who made sure my husband and I had a delicious meal and a great time.
Great as always
Lovely evening to dine outside by the water view. Had Allen wait on us and he is terrific. Split a large and delicious wedge salad and each ate a dozen oysters priced so reasonably on their Monday oysters and ale special. They were very fresh and good. Split the ice cream brownie sundae for dessert. We really enjoyed the experience, as we always do at The Grand Marlin.
Allen was our server and did an excellent job. As locals, we frequent the Grand Marlin often and always enjoy. The Grouper Picatta is always outstanding!
Was great! Service was awesome!
We live in Texas but come often to visit family & this place is always a must every time we come.
We had a 7:00 reservation and arrived at 6:50. There were no tables available at that time. We were advised that there would be a wait. We asked how long they might be - just a rough guess. They were not able to tell us that. - between 15 and 45 minutes. We sat at the bar and were shown to a table at 7:15. This was an interior table although we had requested a waterside table. A table became available so we were able to move after sitting down. My husband ordered the prime rib, which was the special of the day, only to find out that it was sold out.
The Grand Marlin is one of our favorite restaurants with typically outstanding food and service. Unfortunately we hit it on a less than impressive night.
The Grand Marlin is always one of our highlights of our annual visit to Pensacola Beach. Great service and food.
You have to try their oysters and their special "seafood” Bloody Mary.
Definitely the best on the beach.
Love the food, love the service. Beautiful views.
We had a great view and our service was great. I ordered the sea scallops served on greens and although the scallops were cooked perfectly I thought the salad could have used a little more finesse. The lobster fingers were amazing!
Everything was perfect; from the wait, to the seating, and finally- from the service to the food... the perfect brunch.
Love Sunday brunch at Grand Marlin. Prime rib dinner for $19.99 is great. $2.50 Bloody Mary or Mimosa. TGM omelette feeds two easily. Pretty place and great service.
Outside seating with a view was great. Food and service were fantastic. It was a bit loud and overcrowded for my taste, but it was a Saturday night. Will definitely go back.
The Grand Marlin continues to be our favorite restaurant! We invited new friends to go there with us on Saturday evening; they had not been there yet and said they would definitely go there again. Every aspect was wonderful … service, our table, our waiter, and, as always, the food was delicious! Looking forward to next time!
It was my husband’s birthday and our server was Margot! It was absolutely exceptional! Amazing food and service! Our leftovers were amazing the next day too!!
This was our first experience at the Grand Marlin. We had great service! Madison took very good care of us and was kind enough to take our family picture.
The food was exceptional along with the breathtaking views!
We would definitely come back on our next visit to Pensacola Beach!
On vacation in Pensacola and had the most fabulous fish entrees! Delicious!!
We go to the Grand Marlin every time we go to Pensacola Beach. Best restaurant on the island whether we go for lunch or dinner. Madison was our server this past week and we will definitely ask for her again. She made an enjoyable evening even better.
We went here for our anniversary, everything was amazing. Food, service, atmosphere, was great. Our waiter was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the meals, and he aimed to please us. Would highly recommend this place to anyone waiting to have a great time. It’s a little pricey but well worth it.Must try the desserts. Out of this world.
Excellent service and food! We had the key lime grilled lobster and is was outstanding. A great place to eat for special occasions. We'll be back!
Enjoyed the patio setting. Our waitress Rebecca was wonderful. I had the Louisiana Redfish withe the caper brown butter and it was fantastic. The only knock I have was both my wife’s dish and mine were over mashed potatoes and they were very salty. I couldn’t eat even a third of them. That said the fish was outstanding and Rebecca found out we were celebrating our anniversary so we brought us a praline basket for free! Would definitely come back.
The food was excellent , as always, server was very knowledgeable about menu and worked hard to make sure we had a good experience. The only negative thoughts was the noise level is way to high for fine dining, perhaps add nautical flags to give a soft place for noise to fall, too much hard surface so noise keeps bouncing around room, this was the inside dining room . Also just as another ambient feature, put some up light in the umbrellas to give a softer lighting . I always look forward to coming to the Marlin and is on my list of favorite dining places😊😍
Good service, food was well prepared but a small portions and very pricy especially the gumbo.
Nicest restaurant on Pensacola Beach. Great water views.
Grouper piccata was excellent, although served with whipped mashed potatoes that I wasn’t certain were the real thing. Sautéed spinach was good. However for $32, I could have been more wowed with the sides. Fried shrimp were big and looked good.
Our party of 5 was seated at a round table near two larger groups so the noise level was high and made conversation more challenging.
I would go back again and try something new.
We brought out of town guests there. We were a half hour early for our reservation, but they seated us immediately. We were in a back dining room and it was perfect. Great view of the water, quiet and peaceful. The Maryland crab cakes are divine!
The Staff and food were excellent!!!! Ryan was our server and helped us with recommendations. Great atmosphere and nice view of the ocean. I had the grouper picatta and was out of this world! My other half had the swordfish and was excellent. Best ever. Thank you so much! We will be back!!!!😊
Great ambiance and service. Inside or out, you can’t go wrong.
The Grand Marlin was the perfect location for Mother's Day. Great food, location and service!!!
The service and food was excellent. Our waitress was charming and very attentive. Loved her!
My wife and I us the GM as our go to place for all special occasions. We are never disappointed. The only problem we ever have is deciding what to eat since we enjoy so many of their dishes.
I had the steelhead trout and I have to say that it may have been the best fish I have ever had (or at least top 3 in my lifetime). Great service, great food... we had a really good time.
Wonderful table overlooking the bay. Fish was well prepared, fresh and flavorful. Lobster fingers are always great!
We had a great experience at the Marlin. Even though it was Mother's Day, one of the busiest days of the year, the service, and food were excellent. Even the seating was prompt for such a busy day. Great day and the ambience and view are amazing.
