The Grand Marlin of Pensacola Beach
Excellent service, great food and great view. A bit noisy
We sat on heated patio. Very comfortable. Food was great as usual!
Daniel is awesome! Great food. Great drinks.
The best service and fine dining on Pensacola Beach. Sunday brunch has become a local tradition!
Fish was fresh and cooked perfect. We had Mahi and red fish. Green beans and jalapeño slaw were
excellent. Highly recommend
Grand Marlin is my favorite restaurant in Pensacola. The food, wine and service is top notch!
Great Food and outstanding atmosphere
Superlative but pricey. Crab chowder was fabulous as was grouper piccata. Fish and chips not so great.
Our server was amazing! Prompt and knowledgeable made some great recommendations! Best birthday dinner!❤️❤️
Ordered: Smoked Gouda Tater Tots, Crispy Lobster Fingers with Vanilla Bean Honey Mustard Sauce, Ginger Soy Yellow Fin Tuna, and Cane Glazed Pork Chop.
The Tater Tots while it's unique to make something like that in house, just really didn't seem to offer anything special. Nice and crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful inside, but overall, meh.
Lobster fingers had a nice crispy exterior, far too much breading for how little lobster was actually there, but the the vanilla bean honey mustard sauce left a lot to be desired. No vanilla flavor to it at all.
Yellowfin Tuna was ordered rare and received med rare. Not utterly destroying the dish, but would have been better had they cooked it to my request. The Wasabi whipped potatoes were truly delicious.
Now the star of the show, is hands down the Pork Chop. This was absolutely divine, and as a person that grew up in the heartland/midwest, this was very welcome. I wish they would treat some of their other dishes as well as they did the pork chop.
Service overall seems like they could use further training. The Waitress was very kind and didn't come across as too pushy, but when asked about their whiskey selection she needed to ask the bar, which still resulted in not really answering my question, but rather pointing to the menu which did not have the full selection.
Overall price seemed a little higher than what it should be, for the experience that was had.
GM never fails to deliver a great dining experience
This has been our go to place in the past. Will think again next time. Food came out cold and the Shrimp and Grits were overly salty and too much spice. The Blue Chips were delicious.
I always love it. It's my favorite restaurant in Pensacola and the beach.
We have been to Grand Marlin many times. Always delicious food and good drinks. I always recommend Grand Marlin when asked for a terrific place to eat and enjoy the experience.
One of our favorite restaurants. Wait staff and food are A-1.
Great meal, conversation, and family tradition to dine somewhere special the day before my children go back to school
It was wonderful. Great apps at the bar outside, paired with great bartenders. Dinner outside was nice as well. Continuously great service each and every time I come.
LOTS OF BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS GOING ON, great fish and seafood
Great food and excellent service.
Thought this was going to be pretentious and expensive but not so.
Our server David was wonderful, the menu was the expected seafood and steak but extremely fresh and well prepared and no more expensive that the other local options. Great cocktail menu. Overall excellent. But definitely make a reservation for the prime window tables or booths.
They also have a Bay side open air dining area that is more casual which would be a great after beach or lunch option.
After converting to veganism, I was a little worried about the options I could eat. Our waiter informed us of an off the menu veggie plate and I ordered sweet plantains, spinach, and asparagus as well as mushrooms. The mushrooms were outstanding. The sweet plantains were great without the sauce. Overall, I had a great time enjoying hanging out with my grandmother in law and our waiter went above and beyond in accommodating me.
Night out with my lovely wife!
Terrible service. The GM Daniele did try and make up for it. Nice save Daniele. Ian was not on his game.
The winterized outside area was perfect in every way. It want too loud or cold. The calypso player in the background was a nice compliment to everything. The brunch menu has changed and for the better. Everyone loved their meal.
Amazing x 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
Great dishes, wonderful staff and love the view over the water
Always a good choice for an upscale dinner with someone special. They cater to both tourists and locals and the energy level is always pretty high with a lively bar and quality seafood. Of particular note, the deserts generally stand out. Our choice last evening was a seasonal orange spice cake with egg nog drizzle that was very good.
Fantastic! We made a reservation for our anniversary and are so glad we did. Food was incredible. Our server was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Go at sunset!
Maggie was great!
The bluefin tuna was absolutely amazing. Service was good too.
The Grand Marlin has an excellent menu and the food almost never disappoints. The only drawback is the noise level which makes a quiet, romantic dinner or a business meal almost impossible. It doesn't matter if you are seated inside or on the terrace bar. This does not keep the regulars away however as the food and wait staff are great.
Another wonderful evening at The Grand Marlin. Terrific service (Liz) and tasty food.
One of the highlights of our mini vacation . Oysters and fish were fresh and delicious. Ryan was helpful and professional.
Great service great food! Never disappoints!
We live on Pensacola Beach and eat here 1-2x a week. Amazing place!
Always a great experiance had a another person who was visiting for the 1st time and it was excellant
Always great food and service. No question it is the best restaurant for seafood in the greater Pensacola area, and arguably the best restaurant period. Certainly, a top 2-3.
GREAT SEATING FOR THE FAMILY WITH SMALL CHILDREN. SEMI PRIVATE.
GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE. VERY FESTIVE ON CHRISTMAS EVE!
My wife and I visit Grand Marlin every three or so months. The atmosphere and food is normally great, but when we visited with out of town guests (5) on Christmas Eve the food and service was sub par. The server did not seem too happy working Christmas Eve, and our favorite salad dressing (ranch) and wine was unavailable (out). I could understand if, we ate dinner late, but it was 6:00.
A few months ago, the restaurant obviously went thru some changes and we were disappointed that we had a couple of bad dining experiences in a row. But, we recently heard that they were back to their normal outstanding and we agree. Our family dined there on Christmas Eve and had an excellent experience. The food was fresh and delicious. And Ryan our server was very attentive and friendly. The sun setting was also a bonus! We dined early and the restaurant was very quiet initially. Of course, as it got more crowded, the noise level went up as well. That has always been the only negative for us. We always try to avoid the center tables where it is noisiest. We are happy to find that the Grand Marlin is back on our favorite restaurant list!
