Outstanding venue. After several times eating here, I came away with the same thought....This place would be the number one restaurant in Jackson if it reinvented the menu. If they brought in a better chef and invested more into the kitchen, it would be number 1! Still love it but food is bland.

In spite of the snow storm, we made it up the hill! For the most part everything - service, ambiance (no view that night), and food were great. However one of our guests ordered the short ribs which were very fatty. My trout, my husband's elk loin and our other guest's scallops were superb. Will return again!
this is an under rated restaurant. The carrot ginger soup is excellent. We have eaten there twice in the last 3 weeks and it was consistently good. Much better than some of the valley floor restaurants in the Jackson Hole community.

Our family is vacationing in Jackson Hole for 5 days. This restaurant experience began with a breathtaking view of the Grand Tetons and finished with one of the finest meals we have ever had. The people were lovely. Everything was five star.

We are a local family but had never been to the Granary before. Our first impression was that it LOOKS very dated - from the paint to the lighting to the broken cane-backed chairs. Initially, too, the service seemed very awkward, although as the meal went on, it seems that perhaps that was simply because the server was relatively new there and because the chef was backed up in the kitchen. What was nice is that, while we waited for our main courses, the server came to say that it would take longer than expected and that we should choose another appetizer - complementary - as a courtesy. The food was very good - no complaints at all - it’s just very expensive (even for Jackson) for the atmosphere of the place. We would go back, but probably only for drinks or something, as there are plenty of places in town where we can spend that amount of money and feel like we’ve really had a special experience.

Had such a great time at The Granary on Friday night. Started at the upstairs lounge with live music and fantastic cocktails by Damla, followed by dinner and more drinks downstairs with an impossible to beat view. Mark - the GM extraordinaire was on hand the whole time, with food and wine recommendations, conversation, and a constant willingness to oblige our picture requests. I cannot recommend the beef tartar enough. Finished back at the upstairs lounge - we couldn't quite bring ourselves to leave - where Paco made us some spectacular after-dinner cocktails and allowed us to sample some of his upcoming summer specials. This was the perfect conclusion to our trip to Jackson Hole - we cannot wait to visit again.

I made the reservation online and no where did it state it was a fixed price of $80PP! I showed up with my family and almost had a heart attack! The price was absolutely outrageous and I never would have booked had I known that. That by far exceeds even the highest end steakhouses I've been too in Denver and Boston. Because of this, I will not return and I will not recommend it to a friend. It is disappointing that management (nor the website) did not inform us of the fixed price menu. I was not surprised that it was a fixed menu but not to that excessive price and the quality did not match the price. It should have at least come with a bottle of wine/champagne!
We are there several times during our vacation, including Christmas. The servers are all knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly personable. The bartender makes some amazing cocktails and the restaurant manager was so kind to us! Despite being understaffed and super busy, he joked around with us and always took time to make sure we had everything we would possibly need. We really enjoyed our experiences at this restaurant!

Most of the our dishes were salty. Decor and atmosphere was not as elevated or luxury as expected for such a high caliber property at Amangani. The restaurant feels tired and shabby around the edges (vases, flower arrangements, seating). Staff was a bit disorganized and not intentional. Festive for the holidays and beautiful views year around, will always hold in high regard, but needs more attention to detail and standards to carry through from management.

Menu was rather limited and not very creative. Service was slower than it should have been considering the restaurant was less than half filled. Outdoor views are fantastic and would base a return on that alone.

Very traditional steak + potatoes menu with some touches. Not a great understanding of food allergies. The views cannot be best but the flavor and cost did not add up.

A great dinner with wonderful service at the Granary. The salad was delicious, great elk tenderloin and the best creme brulee. Our waiter was very friendly and made sure we were pleased with our meal. Mark, the dining room manager, was a great addition since our last visit to the Granary. Super friendly!! Breakfast was also plentiful and so delicious. Can't say enough about how impressed we were with all personnel at the Granary..from bar service, room service and dining room. Though the flavors were good, the entire meal was cold, and the restaurant didn’t have the ability to reheat anything. Considering that it was Thanksgiving, it was a considerable disappointment. The service was pleasant, due to our particular server, but it was nonetheless quite slow, as the restaurant was apparently overwhelmed by the guests. Though it aspires to fine dining, with guests in ball caps and jeans, it’s really not more than a family restaurant with inflated prices, and what must be a pleasant view in summer; in fall and winter it’s dark by 5:30pm.
We had an amazing family Thanksgiving. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous.

Every year, the granary does a buffet style thanksgiving dinner, and that was what we were expecting. They changed their style for this holiday and did not advertise the change nor let their guests know. It is now a fixed menu, $60 pp, unfortunately not the same thing and the worth the $60.

Been going to the Granary for dinner once or twice a year for 10+ years now. This time was not so good. The elk tenderloin, which we always get, was tough, tough, tough! Usually you can cut it with just a fork, but this time we needed a chainsaw and lots of chewing. Very disappointing.
This restaurant has an unbeatable mountaintop location and the views here were wonderful. However, the food quality as well as service tonight were severely lacking, and the worst part was that manager didn’t seem to care. They served us undercooked dinner rolls even after acknowledging that they were severely undercooked. Every single dish from appetizers to entrees was extremely salty in a really bad unnatural way, and all the steaks were not cooked right. We ordered medium rare steaks and got them extremely rare. We didn’t even bother to complain because the manager’s attitude came across as that they were better than their customers. The Amangani Grill (located next door, with the same spectacular views) is a much better choice.
We ate dinner on Nov 1st. The view was stunning. I had the Elk Tenderloin and my wife had the New York Strip. They were both cooked to perfection. The chopped salads were delicious. For dessert we had the pumpkin cheesecake. It was the end to a wonderful evening.
We were seated next to a large group which made the evening awful - management knew about the noise beforehand - big mistake on their part. Chicken dish we had was undercooked and elk loin was mediocre.
