It was a little cool in the dining room, but overall excellent experience. Wait staff very attentive.
Thank you for your very kind review! We’re very proud of our staff here, and we are happy to hear that your server helped provide an excellent experience. We hope to see you again soon! Warm Wishes, Miriam Hardy Assistant Manager The Granary
Great room, great views, great food. The staff was responsive but they more people working their and they could up their professionalism to match their food.
Great good. Perfect for a special occasion.
We have s
Celebrated new Years eve here for ages. Always good.
We’re so grateful that you chose to spend New Year’s Eve with us, and that you took the time to write such a kind review. Thank you! We’re exceptionally proud of the quality of our food, as well as our staff. I'm glad to know both always deliver a great experience for you. We look forward to seeing you again! Best Wishes, Miriam Hardy Assistant Manager The Granary
We atended during Christmas. The food was terrible, service courteous but unprofessional. The venue looks outdated and in need of repair. Extremely poor value for your money
Thank you for providing us with valuable feedback. We apologize that you did not have a great experience with us. I'm particularly sorry to hear that the food was not up to our standards. We wish we could have caught any issues that evening, but as we did not, please feel free to contact me at 307-732-8116. We would love to make things right. Hopefully you can give us another chance to provide you with the excellent food that we are known for. Regards, Miriam Hardy Asst. Manager The Granary
I made the reservation online and no where did it state it was a fixed price of $80PP! I showed up with my family and almost had a heart attack! The price was absolutely outrageous and I never would have booked had I known that. That by far exceeds even the highest end steakhouses I've been too in Denver and Boston. Because of this, I will not return and I will not recommend it to a friend. It is disappointing that management (nor the website) did not inform us of the fixed price menu. I was not surprised that it was a fixed menu but not to that excessive price and the quality did not match the price. It should have at least come with a bottle of wine/champagne!
We are there several times during our vacation, including Christmas. The servers are all knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly personable. The bartender makes some amazing cocktails and the restaurant manager was so kind to us! Despite being understaffed and super busy, he joked around with us and always took time to make sure we had everything we would possibly need. We really enjoyed our experiences at this restaurant!
Thank you for choosing to join us several nights during the holiday season, and thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review! It’s great to hear that our staff are all working together to create memorable experiences for our guests. Additionally, we certainly believe our lead bartender, Paco, makes some of the best cocktails in the Jackson Hole area; we’re so happy you noticed! We hope to see you again. Warmest Wishes, Miriam Hardy Assistant Manager The Granary
Most of the our dishes were salty. Decor and atmosphere was not as elevated or luxury as expected for such a high caliber property at Amangani. The restaurant feels tired and shabby around the edges (vases, flower arrangements, seating). Staff was a bit disorganized and not intentional. Festive for the holidays and beautiful views year around, will always hold in high regard, but needs more attention to detail and standards to carry through from management.
Thank you for taking the time to give us valuable feedback. We strive for excellence, and I apologize that that is not what you experienced while dining with us. As a side note, we are actually associated with Spring Creek Ranch; Amangani is our next door neighbor. All the same, I appreciate your feedback and will utilize it to ensure our standards improve. We hope you can give us another chance, as we would love to see you again. Warmest Wishes, Miriam Hardy Assistant Manager The Granary
The Granary is such a wonderful place for Dinner. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. I have beeb a number of times and look forward to my next visit. And did I mention the view.... Amazing..
Thank you for your kind words Franklin! We always strive to have our food and service match the incredible view here at the Granary. We’re so happy to hear that we succeeded in doing so! We hope to see you again sometime soon. Kind Regards, Miriam Hardy Assistant Manager The Granary
Menu was rather limited and not very creative. Service was slower than it should have been considering the restaurant was less than half filled. Outdoor views are fantastic and would base a return on that alone.
Thank you for taking the time to give us some valuable feedback Jim. While, I agree that our views are fantastic, we always strive to have our food and service match that greatness. I apologize that that was not the case during your stay. Our team has discussed your comments, and we are using them to improve our standards. We hope that you will give us another chance, as we would love to see you again. Best Wishes, Miriam Hardy Assistant Manager The Granary 307-732-8116
Very traditional steak + potatoes menu with some touches. Not a great understanding of food allergies. The views cannot be best but the flavor and cost did not add up.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. I’m sorry to hear that your experience with us was anything less than amazing. I would love to hear more about your experience, especially any problems pertaining to food allergies. This is an issue the entire team is very passionate about, as the safety of our guest is our top priority. Please feel free to contact me at 307-732-8116 or via email. A great dinner with wonderful service at the Granary. The salad was delicious, great elk tenderloin and the best creme brulee. Our waiter was very friendly and made sure we were pleased with our meal. Mark, the dining room manager, was a great addition since our last visit to the Granary. Super friendly!! Breakfast was also plentiful and so delicious. Can't say enough about how impressed we were with all personnel at the Granary..from bar service, room service and dining room. Thanks for all the great food!! Trish Beasley
Amazing views, amazing food and by far the best service in the area!!
Though the flavors were good, the entire meal was cold, and the restaurant didn’t have the ability to reheat anything. Considering that it was Thanksgiving, it was a considerable disappointment. The service was pleasant, due to our particular server, but it was nonetheless quite slow, as the restaurant was apparently overwhelmed by the guests. Though it aspires to fine dining, with guests in ball caps and jeans, it’s really not more than a family restaurant with inflated prices, and what must be a pleasant view in summer; in fall and winter it’s dark by 5:30pm.
Every year, the granary does a buffet style thanksgiving dinner, and that was what we were expecting. They changed their style for this holiday and did not advertise the change nor let their guests know. It is now a fixed menu, $60 pp, unfortunately not the same thing and the worth the $60.
Another fabulous Local's Special Dinner. Its a great value, and our waitress Tilly was fantastic!
Been going to the Granary for dinner once or twice a year for 10+ years now. This time was not so good. The elk tenderloin, which we always get, was tough, tough, tough! Usually you can cut it with just a fork, but this time we needed a chainsaw and lots of chewing. Very disappointing.
This restaurant has an unbeatable mountaintop location and the views here were wonderful. However, the food quality as well as service tonight were severely lacking, and the worst part was that manager didn’t seem to care. They served us undercooked dinner rolls even after acknowledging that they were severely undercooked. Every single dish from appetizers to entrees was extremely salty in a really bad unnatural way, and all the steaks were not cooked right. We ordered medium rare steaks and got them extremely rare. We didn’t even bother to complain because the manager’s attitude came across as that they were better than their customers. The Amangani Grill (located next door, with the same spectacular views) is a much better choice.
We ate dinner on Nov 1st. The view was stunning. I had the Elk Tenderloin and my wife had the New York Strip. They were both cooked to perfection. The chopped salads were delicious. For dessert we had the pumpkin cheesecake. It was the end to a wonderful evening.
We were seated next to a large group which made the evening awful - management knew about the noise beforehand - big mistake on their part. Chicken dish we had was undercooked and elk loin was mediocre.
Amazing views, delicious food, the manager was very friendly and helpful with wine selection.
Vladimir did an amazing job making sure we were taken care of. All of the food and drinks were perfect! Well done, thank you for a great evening!
Average food with spectacular views
This was our most outstanding meal of the entire week in Jackson! Andrea made it special and could not do enough to make our experience special.
Always love doing the Granary when in town. The view is awesome. Mark is oh so very helpful and accommodating. Staff was good too. Just sorry to hear that the trout was turned in to a "chicken fried" version. What a terrible way to present (or, 'cover up'?) the delicate flavors of a good trout. We'll see if it's changed by our next visit.
Amazing view of the Tetons. Not a large menu but everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Nice bar and wine selection. Very solid meal. Would definitely go back. Maybe tonight! Vladimir our server was awesome!
Location and overall ambience were great with outstanding view of the Tetons. Food was fair at best and overpriced, especially the ratatouille which tasted good yet was basically a medium sized portion of vegetables priced at $30+. Menu was small (as we knew going in) and when we arrived one of the few entrees was not available (6:45 reservation), no soup, and waiter specifically recommended not ordering one of the fish entrees. Overall a big disappointment although our group of 8 did still have a good time and waiter/overall service was good.
It was phenomenal experience for my friends birthday and our trip ♥️
Thank you for making it special for her birthday
View was wonderful, sauce on the signature Elk medallions (mole), took away from the Elk. The Elk itself was okay. Wife had Salmon, the salmon itself was good but the sauce was not to our liking.
Brussels appetizer was very good as was the view.
Absolutely stunning views, lovely live piano music, and delicious food. Service was a tiny bit slow but that was due mainly to a very large party that came in right after we arrived. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area who values excellent cuisine and exquisite views, especially at sunset.
We were very disappointed especially with the ambience and food. I ordered the salmon and it came cold and over done. The bok choy was not edible. I would not go back here.
Outstanding views, outstanding staff, outstanding food!
Great staff with wonderful staff and a spectacular view
The food was great and unique. If you have picky eaters, may not be a good choice. The menu is limited and has specific choices for the region. Our server was awesome and really catered to our every need. Even took pictures of us on the balcony in front of a spectacular sunset. Craft cocktails were tasty and unique. Was a very special evening.
Went there for my birthday dinner. It has an amazing view and the food was wonderful
Good views of the Tetons, but food was mediocre.
When we arrived at The Granary we were immediately impressed with the setting and looked at this as a positive sign of what was to come. My wife started with a berry and goat cheese salad with a light vinaigrette which she found lovely. I enjoyed a Salmon tartare that was flavorful and nicely presented. At this point we thought we were well on our way to a truly memorable dinner.
Unfortunately, then came the main course which was a NY Angus beef that was cooked to perfection as medium rare and had so much flavor I could not believe it. What was wrong was that the meat was very tough to chew and that it took away from what could have been a memorable experience.
Regrettably it got worse after I told our waitress and she reported it to the chef. She came back and told me that the chef knew about the toughness issue with the steak and planned to offer another cut in the near future. I am shocked at this cavalier attitude towards a guest about the key component his dish. If there was an issue with the meat nobody should have been served what we were served. Am I less deserving of a quality product this week than a guest served next week? Shame on you Chef for considering me less worthy of your best even when you know what you are serving is below par!
As a result we must warn any future diners that the food served may not be the best as this kitchen does not think its clients deserve the best. The Granary Restaurant has such potential and came so close to delivering a high quality dining experience but instead chose an easy but foolish way to interact with the guest. The best restaurants in the world work everyday to present only the best dining experience while The Granary does not care.
Elk was by far the winner, mushroom soup special was a loser for our table, trout was so so , far too many Brussels sprouts the dish could have used a starch.
This was not my most favorite experience at this historical favorite restaurant of mine (I’ve been coming for over 30 years)
They have a great view .... that’s about it. The food is only fair, but way way expensive. The staff was nice enough ...... I’m just not into having a $200 dinner for two and getting below par food ..... just to have a view of the Tetons.
This was our fourth visit to The Granary and it continues to impress us with its combination of an outstanding view of the Tetons, gracious service and delicious food. This may have been our best visit yet. Well done, Granary!
