Very loud, had to shout to be heard across the table. Pork belly was just dried out bacon. Sad because most of the food was great and good wine and beer selection. Service was outstanding.

Three of us went there for New Year's eve which was super fun. They had great menu options for the meat and potatoes gal, the guy who prefers to eat multiple appetizers and the burger and fries dude. The service was superb.

It was NYE and I understand that they were trying to serve as many tables as possible but we constantly felt rushed by our waiter. When the reservation was confirmed I said that we would not be staying until midnight but that I didn’t want to feel like we were being rushed and that I imagined we would be there 2-2.5 hours. Our server had us finished our main course in 60 minutes. The food was fabulous as always and we will definitely be back but I just wish the night didn’t seem so rushed.

Great wine list and beer selection, good variety of menu items that are all well-executed. Locally owned and operated and great service. Chili was the best I've ever had. Will be back again!

Was rushed as soon as we got in the door. Serviced kept interrupting our conversation, and the food was mediocre at best. Won't be back and will not recommend it to anyone else.

The food here is completely overpriced for the quality and type of food. You can get chicken wings, and pizza elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. The wings were very average (like you might get at wing night) and the margherita pizza had blobs of what looked like tomato paste on it. What I think you are paying for when you come here is convenience (if you live in the neighbourhood). Definitely not worth leaving your own neighbourhood for. The bread pudding is fantastic. Again, I'm not sure that it's worth $14.

Very disappointing. Flavourless chicken, a hamburger so undercooked that we could almost hear the cow moo, service so apathetic, we felt utterly under appreciated. Uncontrollable guests a few tables over who made more noise than ululating geese. Overall, a big fat zero for this one: it wold be less if that were at all possible.

Service was attentive and helpful and all the staff was very friendly. I had a pork cheek with mash potatoes and vegetables and it was very good, my daughter had fish tacos that she wasn’t thrilled with, my wife had the pappardelle which she enjoyed. The wine list is not overly long but has a great variety and is well priced. We shared the bread pudding which turned out to be the only disappointment in the meal. $14 for an uninspired and unattractive dessert with limited flavour. Overall our experience was positive and I’m sure we’ll come back.

Went for dinner with a couple of girlfriends to catch up on our lives. The meal was wonderful. The neighbourhood feel is casual and welcoming. Unfortunately the service was not. Our waiter was checking on us every few minutes and made our meal and evening feel rushed. Even after we told him a him a number of times we needed a few more minutes to make up our minds on dinner and dessert. Not sure why, the restaurant was not full or overly busy. I will come again but one of my friends said that the waiter’s actions turned her off from going there again.

The food was really good but it was kind of loud. Probably because we were seated next to a large group.

The service was okay.

Would go back again.

The food and service were wonderful. The Caesar salad was served as a half head of romaine heart with dressing and fresh bacon bits, which was very different, but definitely a great twist for an old standby. I will definitely go back.

The Glass Monkey's staff made our friend's get-together, dining experience fantastic - from the moment I called to say I was going to arrive a few minutes late, to their phone call letting me know a purse had been left behind. We visited and dined (small plates/appetizers) at our own pace and never felt like we were being pushed out the door - even at the 4-hour mark! The complimentary dessert wine was a perfect ending to a delightful visit with a dear friend. I will be returning to sample their main courses, so I will hold off on reviewing their food till then.

Always good food, small plates are great loved the salmon and prawns, the squash soup was tasty but I thought that some crackes or a piece of bread would have completed the dish, they do make their own crackers, should had asked for a little cracked pepper as well would had finished the dish. That was my fault, never be afraid to ask for anything there they are very happy to serve you. Love this place. Rob thanks for stopping by our table was nice to see you. Great server. Be back soon.

This hidden gem is not what you'd expect to find in a strip mall.
The food and service were amazing and wonderful (but very pricey wine pairings). A great spot for a date or fun Thursday night out. If you're looking for a cozy spot with impeccable food; charcuterie and small bites to beautiful hand made pasta and braised meats, this place will not disappoint. Check it out!

Great food and ambience. Highly recommend the sirloin burger. Monday nights have half price wine on bottles under $40 and they have a great wine list! Alan is a great waiter and appreciate seeing the owner checking in once and awhile on how we're all doing. We've been there many times and for sure will be back!

Great place to share plates among friends. The server was well-informed about celiac options, the food was varied and tasty, and included a variety of flavours. It was very loud at the beginning, both voices and music, but an after-work bar crowd dwindled and then it was somewhat better.

Our Ladies Group loved the restaurant! Our waiter was THE BEST ...couldn't say enough good things about him!! The only thing I would give a negative comment to is the noise level...when we arrived at the restaurant there were four other people ...it did not take long for the restaurant to be filled up ...hence we found that we were yelling at the ladies at the other end of the table because of the nose level!! Great for the restaurant that it was full and busy!!! The Glass Monkey was recommended to us and all of us would definitely recommend The Glass Monkey to our friends!! Loved The Glass Monkey!! Thank you for a great evening!

Rob and Janine are fabulous hosts and the service is always good. The food is absolutely yummy and the wine list is superb. I'm delighted to have this gem in my neighbourhood!
