Just in town for one night. We eat at a LOT of really nice steakhouses and…..the food was very good. The service was amazing and everyone, at least our crew, had a smile on their face. The bread was SPECTACULAR….wish I had some now. Prices were amazing. I would definitely go again. Wish I would have looked at the wine list - but I brought my own. Thanks Gas House!!!
They go out of their way to make it a wonderful dining experience every time I go. Mark was especially attentive at this celebratory meal.
The food was excellent!
We had made reservation on Open Table 5 days out and when we arrived the restaurant couldn’t locate. They eventually found it. Someone mentioned to the waitress to put us in the back - I felt as though we were thrown in to the back room in front of the doors and it was freezing for both me and my daughter. The service was very kind and courteous but I did hear the servers telling everyone they had other parties coming in so they were limited on time? Not sure if they had reservations as well but we felt rushed out and as soon as we were up they were pushing tables together. Wasn’t a very pleasant experience for me and my daughter
It would have been normally quiet as in every lunch I reserve in a booth in the bar. It is a great place for a business meeting. However a woman at the bar (who may have been an employee off duty) continued to drink alcohol for over an hour, get a cup and pour her own coffee and talk for over 20 minutes in a very loud voice on her phone. She continued to sit at the bar but do a number of stretching exercises even stretching back to touch the side of the booth behind her.
It was far from conducive to a comfortable lunch for those of us around her. I felt sorry for the wait staff as what could they do to ease the situation - I'm sure there are no answers in today's culture for dealing with it.
Decided to give this place a try for a date night. We we not disappointed. The service was fast and friendly, the food was fresh and amazing (we got two salads, New York strips, mashed potatoes, and some drinks.). Oh, and the bread…🤤 Prices are very reasonable for the portions. We would definitely go back again.
Food was great, service was spread thin so need to be a little more patient but well worth the price. Recommend
Fun Sunday morning out.
It was great! Our waitress, Carissa was wonderful!
Very old fashioned place. Locals go here for the full plates of food! We found it on Open Table and decided to give it a try. Service seemed a little overwhelmed with our group of 5… she wasn’t too attentive but we
Enjoyed our food overall. Steaks were prepared to our liking.
The service was really good but the food was just decent. Nothing special really. The Steaks ordered were not the best. Hope we have a better experience next time.
Our server Braden was awesome
We were lucky enough to have Charissa as a server. The place is very beautiful and pub like. The food is good and a great value. But honestly Charissa made our night. Happy birthday Charissa!!!!
The waiter that we had named Jay was so awesome!!!
it was such a pretty place to have my 17th birthday dinner!
Great food, okay service. We would go back and try it again!
Love the old historic feel of this restaurant. Great classic food, steaks, seafood salad. Nothing too fancy or creative, just good food.
This is a great place for lunch or dinner. The food is delicious and the prices are so very reasonable. Sometimes the dining room music is too loud but the bar booths are always far more quiet, especially at lunch time. I have always had friendly servers who check back often to see if our table has needs.
The Gas House is my "go to" for a lunch meeting!
Our waiter was slow and forgetful. Very hot inside, which made it uncomfortable to eat. Food was delicious as always.
Longer wait but they were busy. The AC was not working on the building and it made the entire anniversary experience less than fair. :(
They didn’t even off a discount/ free something for the inconvenience. A little upset they did t acknowledge the AC issue.
We have come here twice when we are in from out of town and absolutely love it. The ambiance is wonderful as is the food. There is a lot of parking but there are several restaurants in the area so the lots do get busy.
This is a great dinner restaurant especially out on the deck the food was reasonable for today’s prices and quite flavorful. Service from the bar and at the table was exceptional. Great place for a special occasion as we were there for our anniversary. The salmon was generous and very well done. The Delmonico Steak could’ve been closer to medium but dusted and grilled well. We especially enjoyed the clam chowder. The German Chocolate Cake for dessert was over the top.
Our waiter was very nice. However, she had too many tables assigned to her and was too stretched. The entrees came to the table before we were half finished with our salads. And are medium-rare steaks were over cooked….more like well-done. Sorry to have to write this.
There was no parking which caused several morons to park in the lanes making it difficult to traverse the lot at all. The table where we sat had a lovely view of the bathroom entrances which was odd. The bar was behind, but did manage to finally catch up and start getting our drinks out faster than 10 minutes. The food was excellent, but inconsistent, the delmonico cut my wife was much better than mine which was full of gristle and fat. Overall, for this current atmosphere with limits on staff it was very good! Will highly consider going again when not a weekend.
The Gas House is always a Treat. Awesome food and Great service.
i could not modify my reservation,so I called and requested bar area seating. this did not happen, but host took care of. Great experience and value.
We frequent often but our friends from out of town was their first visit. In the future, when 3RF is going on, they should verify people have reservations instead of just trusting people aren’t lying. We had to wait to find a parking spot in the lot for 20 minutes and we’re late to our reservation because people going to the fest took most of the parking spots at the restaurant.
We had a booth in the bar over the lunch hour and it was very quiet. We prefer it as the dining room is noisy if full. The prices are amazing and the food delicious. One of our very favorite restaurants. The waitress in the bar is friendly and efficient!
Consistantly great food and good service.
Only downfall to visit was it was Saturday night and there was no parking spaces available. Cars were swarming in the lot. Guessing it was the crowd at The Deck causing the issue.
One out of 4 meals was good. Just not the normal quality we are use to with Don Halls.
Love eating here.
Food was very good. Late arriving for reservation because parking lot full due to festival next door and had to go to another parking lot. We were seated as soon as everybody arrived
Expanded wine selection would move the over all rating to "excellent".
Great place in a cool old building.
When we first got there, they sat us at a table in a room that was vibrating. The floor was vibrating, making the table and the chairs vibrate. It was so uncomfortable. One person from our party asked the hostess (the one wearing Orange that night) if there was a different table because one of the people from our party is pregnant. The hostess snapped and walked away as he was talking to her. We decided to just deal with it because there was no way we’d find a reservation elsewhere. We were waiting for service for a while and we noticed a different table ended up open. We asked our waitress if we can move to that table and she went to ask the manager. He was kind and moved us. The hostess in the orange top came up to us and freaked out. She asked “who said it was okay for you to move? This table is reserved! It’s not for you!” We looked at her and told her the manager behind you. Then she walked away all furious. We noticed that this woman was walking around on edge ALL night and snapping at people. She’s rude and not very hospitable. The food was great and our waitress was nice. Other than the hostess and vibrating table, we had a good time.
My steak was over-cooked, and the server acted like getting me a refill was too much work.
The service was great at the Gas House! We enjoyed perfectly cooked filets and all the sides were delicious. They make excellent cocktails too!
Food was amazing. The service was great until drinks and food came to the table. She seemed to be struggling even with her other tables. Overall amazing.
Grant was wonderful this evening. The only issue we had was that our filets were cooked the way the other person ordered. It was a quick fix, and Grant was fast and efficient in making it right! Thank you, Gas House!
The portions of food were large and very tasty. The help was all first class. We will go there again!
