Unique menu and wonderful dining experience! Food service and ambience were unique and we cannot wait to come back!
We went for brunch. Expansive menu, we had a hard time deciding as everything sounded amazing. Cocktails were well mixed and prompt. Food was outstanding and the service friendly and unpretentious. All four of us enjoyed our meals. Highlights included the fried oysters app, the shrimp and grits, and chicken and biscuits. Yum. We were too full for dessert but all sounded tempting. We will be back and will save room next time.
It was restaurant week so even though we had a reservation- we had to wait for our table of 6. It was not a big deal but since it was freezing outside- we were stuck standing near the diners.
Food was creative and tasty. Cocktails were interesting too.
The best part of the meal was the dessert. We enjoyed the blondie brownies and the heathbar bread pudding. Banana foster was nothing special. Our entree was peppery steak and it was too peppery for us. My hubby asked our server prior if it was not too peppery and she said it was not. Oh well- that was our bad.
Valet parking was complimentary so that was a win!
My daughter liked it but it was just okay for us since we do go out a lot.
Restaurant week is a perfect way to try new places and not cost you a fortune.
The Food Market Never disappoints me. I was there and ordered from the restaurant week menu. My food was good as usual. I had the peanut and celery wings (Amazing!), the Taste Like Chicken Soup from a Flavor Standpoint (It was decent), and the 1/2 baked blonde (Out of this world!). This was my third time dining here and I will be going back
Excellent service and great food
Our first, but in no way the last Brunch that we’ll go to at Food Market! Marci was a great server and we would like to see her again. Innovation is the main theme at Food Market and we appreciate it.
Food is amazing and presentation of food is extraordinary — Definitely aesthetically and palate pleasing. Can not wait to return.
Overall it was a 7 on scale to 10. We did go during restaurant week and it was busy so maybe we'd try again. The oyster appetizer was good, the peanut sauce wings nothing extraordinary but decent and the pepper steak dish was very good. The salmon entree was somewhat bland and paired over a potato pancake and a large side of lifeless cabbage. Desserts were both excellent. With two drinks it ran to $120 with 20% tip
Amazing food and amazing service, will definitely go again!
Good was delicious. Very good cocktails. Very accommodating for a person with allergies. It would be great for groups.
The lazy un stuffed shells were great. Also, the heath cake was massive! So good.
Spectacular. As always. Cocktails. Small plates. Big plates. Creative. Simple. Perfect.
The Food Market is a very lively eating establishment. We went for Baltimore Restaurant Week and were pleased with our choice. For starters, we had the wings and the brisket bao. Both were very good. For dinner we had the steak and the not exactly chicken soup. I thought the "soup" had nice flavor and was very good. My husband thought the steak meal with corn pudding was only ok. For dessert we had the 1/2 baked blondie with marshmallow and the heath bar bread pudding. Both were delicious.
Lots of intriguing options on the menu. Everything we tried was delicious. Very attentive wait staff. Restaurant was busy and a bit loud, surprising for early on a Monday night.
Excellent from start to finish. So glad that we had a chance to experience The Food Market. Anxious to see what will be on the menu for our next visit.
Complimentary valet parking. Great food, drinks and desert. Good environment. Seating is a bit tight. But good customer service. A little pricey but worth it.
Love the food
Food Market quickly became our favorite place to go in Baltimore for dinner, lunch or brunch. Our son found while at UMBC and shortly after invited us to join him for brunch one Sunday. The food is exceptional, perfectly matched items to make up the perfect plate and the menu for Restaurant week was superior. I wish I could have eaten it all.
We sat next to the bar, which was bustling on a Friday night. Our service was impeccable, with each of our three delicious courses coming in a timely fashion. We thoroughly recommend the special restaurant week menu.
The food at Food Market never disappoints. We always bring our friends and out of guests to FM as well as all of our family birthday's.
Delicious and beautiful! Absolutely love the mocktails!
My fathers birthday! So wonderful - I love the food market. Treated him like a king :)
Food Market remains consistently good, but has fallen from great, and needs a "menu recharge" (see Petit Louis, which has the same issue). Worth the trip for "very good" but not if one is seeking "great."
One of my favorite Baltimore restaurants. Hadn’t visited in over a year and did not disappoint. The pretzels and cheese, short rib and Caesar were outstanding. Sat at the bar and received great service from bartender. Perfect meal experience for a casual week night.
Love this place! Just a solid, great, tasty experience every time we go. Amanda was a great server and had a wonderful meal.
Had to wait 25 minutes for our table although we had a reservation and arrived on time. I love this restaurant but this has happened to me before and it is annoying.
Place was packed and very loud. Waited about 20 minutes past our reservation time to get seated but after that all good. Great food.
This is the best restaurant in Baltimore! I love everything about it! Inventive dishes, impeccable service, and a respect for food and people.
Friendly waitress, great food and atmosphere!
Great food and atmosphere. Attentive staff. Bar area excellent.
Another five star night at The Food Market! Consistently great food and service
This is my favorite restaurant in Baltimore and has been for years. The food is amazing and there’s such a variety for everyone’s taste.
Food was amazing, had cauliflower tempura and buffalo fried pickles as appetizer and steak frites for our meals. Service was fast and attentive. Overall very loud and tables were close to one another but would definitely be back!
Had brunch at The Food Market to catch up with a friend! We had a great time and the food and drinks were delicious! I had The Milano, a play on an aperol spritz, and Dan’s Bacon and Eggs as recommended by our server. My friend had The Grace Slick Mimosa and the Papa Johntay. Highly recommend TFM for a brunch with friends!
Family get together
Everything was excellent!
Food was amazing as always! Collard green were some of the best I've ever tasted.
I surprised my wife with a lunch time date because I had gotten off early. Usually I love the shrimp and grits. This time however, the sauce was so salty. In addition, it was cold. I didn’t bother to send it back. I will go back hopefully they’ll lay off the salt this time.
The food was delicious !!! Drinks were superb!!! I love this local restaurant!!
