You Host. We Work.
Terrific server gave us the impression she was glad we were there. All of our dishes were great but the short ribs were special. Of course the pretzels with liquid cheese must be ordered. Halibut was delicious and the mussels were enough for 3. Bread pudding was amazing
Overall the best, both in food quality and service, in Baltimore.
The menu is imaginative and delicious! Quite a few food and dessert selections.
Worth the wait and drive from Cockeysville!
Birthday dinner was delicious and fun. The lamb was outstanding and so was the soft shell crab.
We went for my dads birthday! Food was beautiful and amazing! It always is.
The food and drink selection was quite varied. We sampled a couple different small plates so that when we come back we know what to order! The food was outstanding!
Birthday Dinner for my daughter, the food is very good. Our server, Wendy was awesome!
Fantastic as always! Service was friendly and attentive. We ordered a few small plates and an entree and dessert, it was perfect for the 2 of us. We did the pretzels and the everything shrimp (of course! These have been on the menu for a long time for good reason: they are amazing!!! I order them every time!). We tried the new tomato avocado stack, very refreshing and light, great transition to the prosciutto scallops with arugula and citrus. Very tasty! The scallops were cooked perfectly and went very well with the arugula, citrus and almonds! We did the creme brulee for dessert, which was very good, the blueberries were perfect. We did the earl collins and the new watermelon crush for drinks, as usual, very yummy and balanced. Service was very nice, our server was wonderful, she was most attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, a wonderful dinner, and so glad I picked to spend my birthday there! Can't wait to go back!
Tb service is always great and the food is great too.
Amazing as always. Cream of Crab soup (the best anywhere) and my fave, Crab Cake Benedict for brunch. Love this place
This was our third (?) time at The Food Market and it's still just as delicious as it was in the past. The atmosphere and the service is wonderful and the food is spectacular. The group of us had the avocado toast, parfait, steak and eggs, pork belly on toast, and Heath bar pancakes. We celebrated a birthday and they had a candle balanced perfectly on the steak and eggs plate. (So cute.) I really wish we lived closer, although our pants would be much tighter and our wallets would be much lighter if that was the case.
Simply amazing! From start to finish, our experience at The Food Market was impeccable. The drinks were all delicious and the menu offered so many amazing options...we couldn't decide what we wanted! We ended up sharing a few small plates and then having individual entrees. The lobster fingers and poke were two favorites as were the Scallops, Spaghetti & Crab, and Duck entrees. We were too full for dessert, but I can only imagine it's equally delicious. Cannot recommend this place highly enough- so awesome!
Shrimp and grits were amazing, as well as the virgin mojito
The Food Market never disappoints! The food is phenomenal and I always walk away more than satisfied.
Brunch was awesome 😎
My wife's edamame was not edible - way, way too spicy. We told the server and he should have taken it off our bill, but he did not. No matter, we'll still come back. We just won't order the edamame again.
Consistently 5 Stars at this place. Food was great as usual
Food was incredible. Beef short rib could cut with a fork. Cream of crab they say best in Baltimore and they are right. Also had the filet which was perfectly cooked seasones and superbly tender. Would recommend ro anyone. The only drawback would be the noise level. Bur overall excellent restaurant
We really enjoyed our first visit. Special kudos to our waitress Rebecca (I think) who accommodated our widely varying dietary preferences and requirements with a smile and helpful suggestions. It's trendy... but a good kind of trendy. We'll be back.
Experience was excellent, we definitely add this restaurant to our must try stops in Hampden.
We have been to the Food Market several times and each time have taken friends who've never been before. Their reaction is always the same - they are blown away by the AWESOME food!! I have to say that it's my favorite restaurant! It never disappoints! I've given gift certificates as well because I know it's a great gift. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!!
Delicious food, great service. You get what you pay for.
First time eating at The Food Market. Was very pleased with service, delicious food and our time spent there. Will definitely return!
Pleasant experience. The grilled cauliflower was so filling and healthy. Our server was very good. The valet service was a bit slow however.
This restaurant has a lot of fans... I'm not one. We came here because my son likes their food, and he had just returned from an extended trip to LA. We had: edamame, beet salad, mussels, the club sandwich, and scallops. The mussels were excellent. Club sandwich, which was made up of shrimp salad and crabcake, tasted and smelled strongly of iodine - likely from the shrimp. Best things about the Food Market is the valet parking, cocktails, and the mussels. Otherwise, take a pass.
Best of the best. Great Menu. Food prepared to perfection.
The pretzels with beer cheese and the mussels were delicious--loved the cream sauce for the mussels! Cocktails were imaginative and very good--try the watermelon one, yum! Our waiter Will was fantastic
So lucky to be living so close to the food market, which is where we go whenever we don’t feel like cooking! Amazing food with a variety of food options. Definitely my favourite Hampden restaurant.
Great food. Jermaine the server was awesome. Would definitely recommend
Always good food. Half rack of ribs were so delicious. The beet salad could use a tweak, less beets and more greens, pear, orange and feta. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.
Never disappointed! Great mixed drinks. Food is outstanding. Environment a bit noisy for me, but I will keep going back
The food was outstanding and our service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The menu had something for everyone and had some unique and yummy dishes. Our waiter was wonderful.
Another amazing meal at The Food Market. Our server, Matt, was beyond excellent - kept our drinks filled and checked back to make sure everything was going well. Our food - cream of crab soup (incredible), duck parts (husband cleared his plate) and the shrimp dinner were all delicious. This is definitely one of our go-to restaurants - have never had a bad meal/experience.
Went with friends for a casual dinner. Everything was outstanding from our on time reservation, our server was great, and the food was super. Highly recommend this Hamden restaurant. Can't wait to go back.
Fantastic find! This was the first time we made it to the Food Market - and we will absolutely be back. The food was fun, interesting pairings and so many options....we opted for small plates but there is something for everyone. We LOVED the buffalo pickles and street tacos. Overall, The Food Market is a fun, trendy restaurant with great food and service!
We normally enjoy the Food Market, this experience was a truthfully a bit sad. Perhaps getting there early was not the best choice on a Friday night. The cream of crab soup came half warm, half cool. The duck was not seasoned and cool to the touch. The crab meat balls were just okay, not terrible, but just middle of the road. Service was excellent and one drink out of two was delicious. I'd go back for that drink alone, but not the food and not at $100 bucks.
We google places to eat for Father's day and this place pop up. We were able to get last minute reservation. The food was really good . The five citrus drink was wonderful. It's a must try! I had the short ribs and they were fork tender! The pork bell was really good too. The server was very nice. My father enjoyed his food. My husband and I will be coming back. Thank you for making my father and husband smile.
