I had three seafood selections that were superb. The tempura squash blossoms stuffed with lump crab were a first for me, delicious, creative! The pan roasted mussels in a creamy sauce with bacon were so tasty, I needed bread to dip in the sauce. Finally the fried oysters carbonara were tender and well-seasoned.
Wonderful service and great food! Fun, upbeat atmosphere - perfect for an informal birthday celebration. Will definitely return!
i was told to note a birthday celebration and something special would be provided. nothing was provided despite notation. overall food was good and server was attentive.
I loved the food, but felt like we were rushed out a bit. The food came really fast and wasn’t spaced out. Food was great, but would have liked to have been able to sit and enjoy rather then feeling rushed and interrupted every few minutes with another dish or the server taking a finished plate. Overall, I enjoy this place but do not recommend ordering all your food at once.
They get it right every time!!!
We had reservations but the host told us to sit at the bar until our table was ready because we were 10 minutes early. She said I have someone ahead of you. It was plenty of table open. We sat at the bar. The host came over 20 minutes later and said close your tab at the bar and your table will be ready shortly. We closed the tab and she sat us at a small table next to the bar. I let her know I did not like the seat and she did not change the seat. We decided to stay at the bar. The bar was great but the host made me not want to come back.
Ac was not working
Great mozzarella sticks and amazing blonde dessert!
What a Baltimore gem! We loved every part of our meal from cocktails to dessert, the service was amazing and we adored the Food Market's atmosphere! Make sure you don't miss the Garlicky-Herby-Creamy Shrimp small plate... mopping that sauce up with bread was my favorite thing I've eaten in the past month! And make sure you save room for the heath bar bread budding... holy smokes!
The drinks and food were all delicious, the only problem we had was deciding what to get because everything looked so appetizing. The ambiance was just right, with great music and lovely servers.
This is my 4th time at The Food Market and it was absolutely amazing again! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who loves good food and good wine. They change a few things on their menu occasionally. This time we had the scallops, yellowfin tuna meatballs, both of which were new to us, the spicy, garlicy, cheesy, etc., shrimp, the pork belly and two desserts which were equally amazing as the dinner. It gets a touch noisy in there, but that shouldn’t stop you from going. If it’s a weekend, get a reservation.
Great experience, as always. The tuna meatballs are amazing!! Our son has celiac and the menu is very approachable for him - he’s only 10 but loved his meal too!!
Made a last minute reservation for Labor Day when out of town friends contacted us. We started with the lobster fingers for the table and that set the tone. I had amazing mussels in champagne cream sauce with bacon and leeks...off the charts. Our friends both had the tuna entree and thought it was excellent. The service is always attentive and pleasant. One of Baltimore's best in terms of culinary creativity and service. We'll be back as always.
Always incredible! Great apps, drinks, main courses and service. Our go to on every level.
I always enjoy
I honestly don’t think our server would have come to our table when he did if we didn’t make eye contact with him every time. Everyone else around us received exceptional service. Our app and entree came out at the same time. Our water glasses sat unfilled. We’ve never experienced this here before. We love Food Market.
Great food and cool vibe
Food and drink continues to be great, service excellent and a vibrant setting. A great go-to.
The service was wonderful! The fried zucchini blossoms with goat cheese and crab was a standout!
The fried lobster bites were wonderful, but the braised tacos were a little too acidic.
My husband enjoyed the beet salad and you must save room for that half baked blondie with tasted marshmallow!! Divine!
Great food and service. Wish they had frozen type drinks. Was a little noisy with screaming children. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Always a great time at Food Market. We had the same server in the past and he was fantastic again. The tables are too close together but doubt that will ever change. Food was amazing and price is fair for the quality and creative choices you get here
Everything was amazing - Amish Soft Pretzels, Buffalo Pickles, Brown Sugar Pork Belly, Crispy Lobster Fingers, Roasted Beef Short Rib, Soft Shell Crab. Can’t wait to go back!
This is a great place to take out of town guests. Food is great and a great selection.
The Food Market is absolutely spectacular, the food is very fresh and the service is excellent! Fresh, delicious, and fun twists on every day menu items makes this spot fantastic time and time again.
Excellent meal, great environment. We went on a business dinner and enjoyed every moment. Wait staff was on point and very friendly. Every meal was delicious. Seared scallops among the best I've ever had. I will be back. Again.
Consistently great and fun. Staff is cool, enthusiastic, and knowledgable.
We went for an early lunch on a Friday. I didnt realize most of the menu is egg based. Because we didnt want egg dishes, and because I don't eat red meat or shellfish, there weren't a lot of options for me. It was a nice touch to bring the donut holes after we ordered. Server was laid back and pleasant. I'd try it again for different menu.
A really great meal. Food was excellent. Service was very good. Love the place!
Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone! Best food, consistent food quality and best value for your money. They knew it was our wedding anniversary and offered us free dessert!
Food was wonderful, server was very good!
Just on a day date with the lady! Food and service was absolutely amazing. I’ve eaten here quite a few times before but it seems that the food has gotten better and better each time. My only dislike is how close the 2 person tables are. It can be annoying to involuntarily have to listen to the table next to your tables conversation. Other than that absolutely amazing!
Love, Love, Love this restaurant! The food is consistently excellent and always great service. Our server, Andy, was exceptional - friendly and attentive. The food, as always, was great - love the cream of crab soup! This restaurant is definitely in our "rotation"! Highly recommend!
Staff was all very friendly. Food was excellent, both from restaurant week menu and regular menu. Very accommodating of food allergies as well!
Your chairs and tables are to small and chairs are to hard.
We decided to do our first wedding anniversary dinner here as we live in the area and had loved our previous brunch experience at the Food Market. Each staff member we interacted with was helpful and friendly, and made the evening a memorable one with special little touches like a card and candle on our dessert.
Fantastic food but no way you can hold reasonable level conversation in the dining room. But that food....
I would recommend this restaurant's menu to friends but would feel the need to point out the noise level and suggest a less energetic atmosphere. The restaurant even on a Wednesday evening was extremely loud making dinner conversation difficult. However, the food was good and the menu had many interesting items to choose from. Our waiter was pleasant and good at his job. Valet parking worked like a charm. Our reservation went smoothly and we liked where we were seated. However, due to the noise level, I myself will probably not be a return customer.
Restaurant week prices were amazing
The waiter was a bit nonchalant and patronizing. I was most disappointed in the lamb bowl entree because the description in the menu was so deficient. It only stated Lamb bowl and what the ingredients were but no mention whatsoever that it was a ground lamb patty/burger and not peices of actual lamb meat as a normal person would expect reading the description. I found an undercooked ground lamb patty just wasn't good and totally didn't work in a bowl. Also note for anyone on a restricted diet that there are no gluten free pasta, grain, or bread alternatives, just entrees that may be gluten free.
