   Really good roast, I had the vegan option and enjoyed it. My partner had the lamb and he enjoyed it. Service was great and the waitress was very friendly and , throughly enjoyed the whole experience, I would have preferred a lot more vegetables and possibly more vegetable options. Stuffing was superb.

   I love the Florence. Have spent many birthdays here. Last month I organised a party of 12 and everyone was so kind and courteous. The food is delicious and well priced. Excellent venue. Today I had an amazing fish pie which was so creamy and cooked to perfection. Served by amazing staff. Get yourself there.

   Excellent Sunday lunch - we had lamb, beef and chicken - the chicken particularly good. Well kept Timothy Taylor Landord to drink, and friendly attentive service from Leanne from South Africa! Thank to all the staff for an excellent afternoon.

   Slow service for a relatively quiet night (Monday) and simple orders burgers and chips, pie and mash. Also we asked for a menu alteration, from vegan cheese to normal cheese, on two of the burgers and this was totally ignored. Vegan cheese is really plastic / unhealthy and synthetic and made us feel terrible afterwards. We were so hungry by the time the food came that we didn't bother to ask them to make the food again as we really didn't want to wait another 20-30 minutes. Nice ambience, but dont expect much from service and food quality here.

   Hi Megan, We are disappointed to hear that you didn't enjoy your visit. The cheese was replaced with regular burger cheese (it's yellow unlike the vegan cheese which is white). Hopefully we can do better next time. The Florence Team

   We went for a Mother’s Day and birthday meal. The chef only serving a set menu even though when we booked they said there would be the general menu available there was nothing we could eat on the menu and although the (very accommodating) waitress asked directly, the chef said absolutely no. The waiting staff seemed nervous of the chef. We had to leave despite it being a special occasion and we literally couldn’t eat anything on the menu. It felt like the chef was stressed and creating a situation where the staff was afraid to upset them.

   We are saddened to hear that you had a negative experience at The Florence. On Mother's Day we were serving just slightly different Sunday Roast menu which was advertised weeks before. Even though that Sunday the vegan burger was not available, we did have another vegan option on the menu which you refused using profane language. We are surprised to read the comments about our staff - maybe they came across nervous due to the way they were spoken to in this situation. All the best, The Florence Team

   Best food in the area! The mushroom spring roll is to die for. Really friendly and chilled service by the two guys behind the bar!

    Lovely family Sunday ruined by blaring football. Booked a table for family Sunday lunch. They were busy so they put us in the bar right next to the tv. The tv was playing but the sound was off when we sat down, so it was distracting but tolerable and we decided to put up with it 10 minutes into our meal the match started and they cranked the sound up and we were atuck there under the tv with it blaring out. There were only about 5 lonely looking blokes watching it. The rest of the people in the bar were families trying to have conversations/dinner. Really ruined the our meal. The food itself was excellent, and it was a real shame. They should really have made their mind up…if they’re a sports bar then don’t serve Sunday lunch in there, or just ditch the bloody football! The sad sacks will find another bar…
