The Fishery
The Fishery Restaurant & Market is located just a few blocks from the ocean in North Pacific Beach.
The restaurant menu reflects ‘coastal cuisine’ with a simple yet serious focus on the best our coastal fisheries and local farms have to offer. The passion that drives Chef Mike Reidy is evidenced by flavors that can only be achieved using ingredients at their peak of seasonality and freshness.
The Fishery was awarded the prestigious Award of Excellence for its Wine List from Wine Spectator in 2018- Present. Our wine list is inspired by the great wines of Europe and their American counterparts and we strive to showcase real, natural, food friendly-wines with a sense of place.
The Fishery Market showcases fresh fish, prepared seafood, salads, sauces and marinades.

We both had macadamia crusted fish - our fave. Service and food were excellent tonight. Not cheap -$220 for two people for one course with wine and tip. But very enjoyable.
Lovely experience with fresh ingredients and fiber menu.
Wonderful flavorful and always fresh! Had brunch of dungeoness crab eggs benedict with a glass of procescco which was perfect along with a side of Wayfarer bread and a bowl of delicious clam chowder!
Great food and service from Mark.
Anniversary
Overall a great meal, food was delicious and waiter was very friendly. Just the seating outside was very cold in a tent and heater kept failing. So we happily but frozen ate our delicious meal.
Great staff! Love the food. Heaters outside so that helped
So lucky to have a fabulous fish restaurant and market within walking distance!
Gold Star!
The fish was Super fresh- had the mahi-mahi.
I’d prefer more traditional sides and the chowder needs more potato.
Great place... going there many years
The Fishery is my favorite place to eat it has been for over 4 years. Honestly its super hard to eat seafood anywhere else now because my standards are so high because of The Fishery. Service and Food is always 5 Stars. Valentines Day was even better maybe because I missed it so much while we had the shut down I don't know but the bottom line is I love love love this place. The clam chowder is the very best, sushi hands down best...
The Fishery is our very favorite place to eat. We always know that they have the best quality ingredients and of course the staff is always accommodating and friendly! Thank you to the Fishery for always taking such good care of us!!!

Exceptional server, clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had
We love The Fishery. The food is always good as is the service.
Excellent food, great service by Bethany, and can’t wait to go back!
-Great service, casual and friendly but knowledgeable and attentive.
-Well thought out dishes with top notch ingredients, great balance of classics and fun innovative plates.
-Great wine list, always able to try something new and different.
-Cocktails aren’t just the best you’ll find in PB, they are some of the best in San Diego.
-Owners and management are cool and friendly, makes you happy to spend your money at The Fishery.
Great food and our server was super nice and just the right level of attentiveness.
So lovely to dine in your fabulous restaurant.
Gold Star.

One of the best meals I've ever had..and Mark is such a great waiter.
Best fish anywhere. Properly prepared and fresh Delicious You don't want to miss this neighborhood gem.
It was a wonderful experience. They greeted us, reread the reservation notes and provided exactly what we requested - a table outside with a heat lamp and as far away from others as possible. It was the best seating possible in these days of Covid. The food was properly prepared to our specifications, the server was attentive and the food tasted wonderful. We highly recommend the Fishery.
Awesome, as usual!
Everything copacetic. Coronavirus sidewalk dining. Fish and chips the best I’ve ever had.
Dined here three times in the course of 5 days because of its convenience to our Airbnb, and it turns out, because of the great/heated outdoor/sidewalk space, stellar service, and delicious food. Best mussels I’ve ever had...fat as can be, although the curried broth was spicy. Don’t leave here without trying the squid ink risotto. Over the course of our three visits, we were never disappointed. A nice selection of wines as well. Fingers crossed that these guys continue to do okay despite the pandemic restrictions.
New to the PB area, wanted fish. Easy resy @ 8pm. Sat on totally non-romantic sidewalk curb by a great heat lamp and a parked 4-door all black freaky-looking Maserati. Server woman a total doll, house salad & chowder both “A”, Poke was a “B” max as it was too wasabed hot & needed crackers or usual wanton chips to make complete. Fish ok, not great & not bad, both a “B.” The lovely server made up for the negs. She smiled throughout. Only thing sad was watching the femmy small female-only staff having to bring all the tables & chairs inside for the night...no hunky guy workers there to help them...? My wife & I wanted to volunteer to help them.
Fantastic food! The Fishery Roll was excellent and the Pacific Swordfish was divine!!!!!
Great food, good quality ingredients. Perhaps a little over priced but we were very satisfied with our meals.
Always the BEST fresh seafood prepared beautifully.
Excellent seafood, very fresh and well-prepared. We enjoyed the halibut fish & chips, and a halibut entree. The clam chowder is very good. The service was great. The restaurant has a good selection of outdoor tables.
The Fishery gets it!!!
Delicious, creative & perfectly composed, dishes - kudos to Chef Mike and the culinary team!
Friendly, professional & personable service! Great bar menu. Love this place!
Went for lunch and sat outside. Absolutely fantastic food & wine. Great oysters from Washington state, delicious mussels in a spicy green curry (served with Wayfarer bread!), We also loved the ahi-poke appetizer and wonderful organic greens salad. The Chardonnay by the glass was delicious (their wine list is great) and were wowed by their new cocktail menu. We'll be back for dinner & cocktails. A truly fantastic seafood meal and terrific, knowledgable service, too.
We discovered The Fishery last summer, liked it a lot and visited several times. After being away from San Diego for a while, we returned to The Fishery in October and it just wasn’t the same. We tried again the other night, and still no luck. What used to be my favorite dish has gone to just mediocre - fairly tasteless fish and over salted potatoes. To top it off, service was slow. Sadly, we will not be returning.
This restaurant and fish market has the freshest fish around and a menu which contains a variety of different dishes. I had the tuna melt and my friend had the albacore belly sandwich. Both were outstanding. I have been here many times over the years and have enjoyed Mr. Brown's swordfish tacos, salads, the tostada and specials of the day. This was a birthday celebration and the server brought out two of the most beautifully plated and delicious desserts for my friend on the house. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend The Fishery!!!
I really enjoy the Fishery. My daughter and I have been fans for many years. The food and service is excellent. I enjoy seafood anyway, and this is an excellent restaurant choice! Consistency is also key. The scampi with linguini is wonderful, and the fish selections and preparations are superb!
Great experience with our waitress and great food
Food was amazing. Serive was friendly, promt, and very aware of the table's needs.
- clam chowder a must!
-fried calamari delicious !!!
-Macademia nut halibut + mashed potatoes on a lemony cream absolutely tasty!
Great afternoon and great service ! Get the oysters !
The halibut and swordfish were of excellent quality. We have eaten here several times when in town and have never been disappointed.
I'm a vegetarian and I love the fishery, go figure! You have amazing salads and desserts... maybe if there were just one more vegetarian side or app option it would be even more heavenly.
Thanks for the amazing food!
Delicious food time and time again! I love their specials and the menu changes with great options every time we go. Highly recommend!
