BEHIND EVERY GREAT SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IS A WAREHOUSE STOCKED WITH FRESH SEAFOOD.
The Fishery Restaurant & Market is located just a few blocks from the ocean in North Pacific Beach.
The restaurant menu reflects ‘coastal cuisine’ with a simple yet serious focus on the best our coastal fisheries and local farms have to offer. The passion that drives Chef Mike Reidy is evidenced by flavors that can only be achieved using ingredients at their peak of seasonality and freshness.
The Fishery was awarded the prestigious Award of Excellence for its Wine List from Wine Spectator in 2018- Present. Our wine list is inspired by the great wines of Europe and their American counterparts and we strive to showcase real, natural, food friendly-wines with a sense of place.

The Fishery Market showcases fresh fish, prepared seafood, salads, sauces and marinades.

    Best tuna melt ever! Wonderful fish, and chips. The clam chowder was delicious. Our service was excellent. Best seafood in San Diego.

    The best meal I have had in a long time!! Every dish was so well prepared and detailed. We had the oysters to start and they were so light and refreshing. The next dish was the Poke and it was also extremely fresh with just the right amount of ingredients. The next thing we ordered was the crab cake. This was probably my favorite. No filler, crab was perfect and on tomato/citrus sauce. A perfect mix. We had the Bucutini and the halibut and both were amazing. The drinks are true craft cocktails and the desert didn’t disappoint. Out waiter was kind, helpful, and made us feel welcome. 10/10 experience.

    Really fun experience with excellent, locally sourced food. Everyone seemed happy to work there and Mark, our main server, was both witty and professional. He made fabulous suggestions and accommodated my food sensitivities, not batting an eye when I informed him that “I cheat when it comes to dessert.” He even took time to go outside with us to take our photo in front of the restaurant because he said it was the best place to snap a pic! The standout item for us - salted mussels - was in a curry broth was so good we almost licked the bowl.

    Outstanding food and service. The noise level was very high inside, however. We had a better time at a previous visit outside. It was too loud to hear others at our table.

    The food was amazing: ahi smash burger, sea bass, salmon, macadamia nut crusted halibut, yellow peaches and burrata, sardines. The Mike Tai was a really good cocktail. We were a little concerned about sitting outside, but it was so much quieter than inside.

    This is the best fish restaurant we have been to in San Diego. The food is fresh and tasty. The service was exceptional. Our server, Shay, was personable, attentive and exceptional. We will return soon.
