It is a very good restaurant, the food and the atmosphere was very great.
The tasting menu is the reason to go there, but the chef has retired and it's gone too.
Like all American restaurants, food (especially calamari) is waaaaaay overcooked, so avoid that. And as a sushi purist (none of this mixing 12 kinds of fish), I stay clear of that too. Doesn't leave much....
So I had a bowl of chowder. Good, but arrived not even lukewarm. By the time I was done it was cold. Ugh

Wonderful food but one dish sat up to long and was cold. The problem was immediately fixed. A reservation is definitely needed, the place was very busy.
Not really made for weekly dinning,but for special occasions such as birthdays,holidays,guest from out of town, Whomever you may bring here will certainly enjoy it!

Wonderful place to celebrate a special birthday. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with making sure 3 generations were happy with their selections. The wine list is spectacular if you are looking for great finds. A definitive neighborhood gem!

One of the best seafood meals we have had
Went there on President’s Day for dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
We ordered two starters, two main dishes, 2 glasses of brut and a bottle of wine. We’ve got a bday dessert for my husband (extra charge of $6, totally worth it).
Salmon carpaccio and seared albacore were our absolute favorite. Delicious and prepared perfectly.
We paid slightly over $200 (plus tip). It’s definitely worth every dollar. Would love to come back soon.
The ambience and decor is nautical and rustic with an open kitchen view. Beautiful building tucked away in PB. We had a reservation at 7pm and waited 20 minutes for our table. Waitress was professional, but scarce. Drinks took about 10 minutes (no alcohol), Spicy Tuna Roll and Crabcake Appetizers were both delicious, tuna and crab very fresh and seasoned well. Dinner was hit or miss. Took about 30 minutes, food runner was very attentive. Clams with Linguine were so sandy, we had to send back. Halibut and Chips were under seasoned. Swordfish Tacos with a Mexican flair were delicious. Albacore Tuna cooked medium rare was fresh and delicious, handmade shrimp dumplings were super tasty. Clam Chowder replaced Clam entree and was light and seasoned well. Waitress informed us we wouldn't be charged for clams, but nothing else was done. Hostess was very friendly and checked in on us. Overall, the service needed improvement and would have made the experience better.
Excellent as always! Great service. Delicious tender little neck clams. Perfect seared ahi and scrumptious macadamia crusted halibut.
Enjoyed our lunch. We have been here a couple of times before and the place continues to grow. It was early in the afternoon so was pretty quiet and the food was delicious.
I love this place.
We were 5 adults, 2 preteens and infant. The staff was very welcoming with outstanding service. We enjoyed the halibut , the ahi and calamari appetizer, the cerviche and clam chowder. We would definately recommend.
Love this place but very noisy
All food and service are fabulous. Go early, though, to avoid very noisy environment. Much quieter at 5:30pm than at 6:30!
We eat there at least 3-4 times a week, mostly takeout, Nick and Anne Marie are the best.
Excellent variety of quality seafoods, presentation was very nice, extensive wine list. Service was excellent. The only possible negative was that it got a bit loud when the restaurant filled up, but don't let that stop you from going.
The linguini with scampi was well prepared and the macadamia encrusted halibut was quite nice!
My spouse and I ordered the market special which was a variation of Sea Bass. It was at most 2 and a half inches by an inch and a half and maybe an inch high on top of spinach and mashed potatoes for $25.75. I should have said something then but did not feel like ruining the meal that my spouse’s 82 year old mother was at with us. I came for fish, not a fancy plate with potatoes and a vegetable and on top was a minuscule piece of fish. Not like it was a delicacy from a far away place. It was local and basically Sea Bass.
BTW- when did become acceptable to put a price on the menu and then add an additional percentage in the very small print at the wee bottom of the menu.

Chowder, not all that flavorful ...scarce on clams. Service pleasant but not so attentive for drink service. Just okay, had favorable freviews from friends. Was hoping for a better experience.

Delightful & delicious Italian food. Wait staff was attentive without being annoying. I was really, really pleased with the steamed mussels. All 4 of us thought our fish entrees were perfectly cooked and tasty. Parking was not a problem. An all around good experience.

We’ve been patrons since they opened.. a wonderful community fish house/ home actually. Except for just a few , seen the staff turn over and over... We’ve also seem the prices increase dramatically and offerings dwindle, corkage out of site- no dollars no bread...No special favors for anyone no
Matter whether you’ve been loyal or new. No longer a community place but an impersonal behemoth. Tonight my husband had a so small sashimi, I paid $13 for a glass of wine? You get so much better fish / food/ servings in general and corkage at El Pescador in La Jolla. Made a decision not to ever return
