Great food and great service
This is one of our favorite places in Park City. Casual upscale dining at the base of the mountain. Locally sourced ingredients creatively assembled into a great menu.
Fish was a little dry though Tenderloin was very good. Nice wine selection and very attentive service. Very convenient when staying in the Canyon Village. I would definitely go back.
I love The Farm. Food, wine, service and ambiance can't be beat.
Excellent dinner both times we ate there. Salad trout and grits and duck cannelloni were all perfect and creative dishes. Highly recommend. Need a reservation.
Food, service, and atmosphere were all great. Nice view up the ski area. Portions where right, well presented, and tasted great. Would go again!
Fantastic food, great service; wonderful location. Highly recommended
The trout and the hamburger were delicious. Service was good. If you are planning to drink wine, recommend you buy a bottle as the per glass pours are pretty stingy. Food costs are high but taste is very good.
Overrated. Our food was cold. They did comp us the cold meal but even so, I wouldn't go back.
Food at the Farm was great. Our first table was by the door, but they moved us immediately upon request. Service was great, server made recommendations that were wonderful.
Ate here for lunch and dinner on the same day. We had loved this place a few years ago and wanted to go as soon as we arrived. Menu has changed but still had good options to fit every dietary need. They changed up a few things for my salad to make it more to my liking. Husband had hamburger for lunch and split pea soup for dinner and the farm cheese. Burger was good he said but not anything outstanding. Bacon needed more crispness. Fries were awesome. My salads were all delicious. Service was great both times.
Great place, unique food, great and helpful waitstaff. Very laid back environment ( ate in the lounge area). Would highly recommend to someone looking for a different dining experience in ski country.
First time we were inside and loved it!!!!! Loved the squash bowl.
We had a reservation at 13:00 and had asked for a table outside. Says the guy at the front: you are not the only one. Weather is nice, if you want to sit outside you ‘ll just have to wait. We then pointed out that there were free tables! Turns out that the free tables were for adults above 21 only. The other part of the terrace was for everyone. I think they just hate kids and families? We had to wait more than 30mins before we (4) were seated at a table meant for 2.
Next time just refuse to take our reservation, we would have gladly searched for an other option.
Good meal they were out of some bottles of wine that were more affordable on the menu.
We went there for our anniversary.
The food was overall very good. We had poor service that night.
Sadly it has gone down hill. We’ve been regulars for the past 8 years and it used to be great. They must have changed management, chef, maybe also owners. The menu NO LONGER RESPECT the “Farm to Table” idea; where fresh produce, fish, & meats locally from the neighborhood is cooked to prepare the freshest healthiest meal. That’s why you pay a little extra. They charged us $38 for Atlantic Salmon (aka Trout). This fish was not a fresh catch...yet their menu states “Market fish” which eludes that it was fresh off the boat. Also, they only had one item my husband could order fried mushroom Maitake (because he doesn’t eat meat or bird). In regards to their only fish dish, We asked if they could omit the sausage. They refused to serve the fish without the chorizo sausage (which actually was on the side... and could have been removed).
Their servers are working; but they are not experienced food servers and are so disconnected from customers that they are rude and disruptive to an enjoyable dining experience.
They need to improve on “proper” communication in dining experience. Apparently this comes from top down in management. The previous staff had great communication skills and was proper in explaining and or apologizing for any inconveniences. This really smooths out a lot of the little mishaps that always occurs.
Too many other things to chat about.
This is not a real farm to table restaurant. Unfortunately, we were served ketchup and processed white French fries with a burger.
Aside from burgers, the other two dishes were very tasty and well done. There were no whole-grain options for bread. The atmosphere and service were very good.
great friendly and attentive service. Food was good but portions were a little small
Delicious! Going back again because enjoyed so much.
The service and ambience were very nice. It’s unfortunate that the food was not only overpriced but also not very good. I really had expected a lot more given the overall reviews.
The table where we were seated was in a walkway and there was a lot of traffic. The food and service was good, but expensive.
The wait in our main course was at least 45 min!
Table was less then mediocre, behind a wall and very distracting light.
Food was okay, nothing great.
The manager opened the restaurant late and acted as if we were the ones being rude when we wanted to sit down for our 1130am reservation. Our server was helpful and accommodating. The food was very good - not great. Great location at bottom of the mountain.
What a surprise! We are here in The Canyons for 2 weeks in February and with only 4 or 5 dinner places in the mountain village, we have been to all of them. The big surprise was The Farm. Absolutely excellent food and service! We will probably be back before we leave to try other items on the menu. Note there are 3 places to dine at this venue - the "outside" umbrella type dining room, the lounge (very nice), and the main dining room.
We have eaten here every year since they opened. As a new restaurant they pushed the boundaries of every day cuisine...just a fantastic or uniquely flavorful version of an already great entree or app. All these years later they absolutely crushed it! The best of all the years, again pushing the the unique yet reserved boundaries of fine dining. We had the shashito app, a really tasteful combination of subtle bitterness, rich cheese and grilled peaches. Our three entrees were just so good! Trout, duck, and pork all done in completely their own ways. Can’t say enough. And to top it off the apple bread pudding was by far the best desert we’ve had all year!
Kudos to Vince our server! Affable, kind and knowledgeable of the subtleties of this inventive menu! Thanks
Tried many of the top rated restaurants in Park City this week and this was the only disappointment. Food was only so-so, the server was inattentive and forgetful and the décor was not impressive (no tablecloth, candle, flowers- nothing but a plain laminate table). But worst of all was the lighting. It was so bright that it hurt my eyes. It also made the space quite hot and uncomfortable.
After a very long day of skiing, we walked in to the restaurant, sat, looked at the menu, reassessed our appetites, and our wallets, and chose to leave. The staff was nice, understood our announcement that we weren't ready for this, and left.
The food was so-so - we had the trout special and it lacked flavor and the grits were thin. The trout was cooked perfectly. We also had the rabbit with bone marrow ... it was okay, the rabbit was good but the marrow was flavorless.
The atmosphere is the real turnoff. It’s small, crowded and lacks romance. The bar area is much nicer and more romantic with cushy seats and places to sit together.
The service is very good and attentive.
Tucked behind and under the Grand Summit Lodge and on the Plaza we found the The Farm. Seating was immediate. It was snowing so it was very cozy. We could see the fire burning outside and the snow falling thru the large windows. ❤️. The menu is not too long but should satisfy anyone and sharing the huge entrees is $5, which we would do next time as I could not even eat half of my entree. The food is beautiful and delicious, pix to follow. Tony, our server, made us feel comfortable immediately. Some places in Park City can feel stuffy but he was perfect! As were his 2 assistants. The dinner flowed perfectly, from amuse Bouche to dessert. And everything tasted wonderful, my favorite being the beets with smoked crème fraîche. The dessert of apple bread pudding was a bit too sweet, but it is dessert after all. Yes I would say it is expensive, but I don’t mind paying more for an excellent meal with excellent service and excellent portions. It’s all relative. Enjoy! We only go around once!
Sit on the bar side. Amazing presentations of perfectly cooked food. We got the greens, tartare, cassoulet, pork rib and duck canalonni . All really good.
We ate in the bar and the service was super! The food was delicious and ambiance was cozy.
It was not an easy restaurant to find. They should have told us that it was in the Canyons business area right across from the Red Pine lodge....
Main course selection was limited. We tried the Duck cannelloni because they came recommended... they were missing something... maybe a little spice to give them a kick...
the river trout on grits other the other hand was excellent... the best salad and winter salads also top notch...
so overall a great meal.
1/2 bottle of wine was helpful as we really didn’t want a full bottle!
Considering how obnoxious our group may have been, our server was fantastic. Some of the best service I have had. Great experience.
Great meal and service . The only problem was a family with 4 disruptive kids who were very loud and poorly behaved. The entire dinning room “ yurt” left except fior our table and the other with 4 kids.
Went for a group ski trip and searched for a place for a nice dinner out. Food was amazing! Personally. I had the pan roasted fish (trout) and grits. Probably the best grits I’ve ever had .... ever. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My fiancé who can’t have dairy was easily accommodated and they were even able to provide her with a modified amuse bouche. Would definitely eat here again the next time we come back to Park City.
WomdeRful food and servicd
