The Dredge Restaurant
We asked to be moved to the first floor as the second floor was so noisy you could not have a conversation. Our server was very attentive and responsive. Salmon was well prepared. Burger was of average quality, proper temperature but not great flavor. Prices are high compared to quality of food and the restaurant is in need of a major refurbishing as it looks quite tired.
The staff was great. Our reservation was for 7:15. We came early and they sat us right away. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out right away.
I thought the food was good but a little under seasoned.
Love the service, the food needs improvement
Somewhat quirky establishment in a great location. The staff are extremely knowledgable and friendly offering good attentive service. We have visited many times, and the only slight downside I can comment on is the rather limited menu. In summary, would recommend for all occasions and it is also family friendly.
Second time here this week, a great place with wonderful service and very nice food
Our group of 5 started off with drinks at the bar. I had the original and was happy with it! Once our table was ready, we ordered the artichoke dip. It was not anything special. Especially in comparison to what we had at the Blue Stag. Service was mediocre at best. My steak was WAY over cooked and because the waitress was pretty inattentive everyone else at our table was 3/4 of the way done with there meal. I would not recommend the food or dining experience. Cool place to get a drink!
Setting is in a boat, which is the coolest part of this restaurant. The food is akin to dive bar food. Nothing special, but high cost.
Recommend for drinks and atmosphere.
Family friendly and good food. Waiter was very accommodating.
The high booths make for the perfect private dining experience for a comfortable group of 6! We loved all of the food!! Apps were amazing! Main dishes were high quality and well priced. We ordered the fish and chips, pork chops, $15 burger was delicious and cooked perfectly (a lil pink the middle).
The service was outstanding!! -- water glasses were always full--a must when in high altitude.
Food was brought out very quickly.
We decided that this was our favorite 'nice sit-down reservation' restaurant in Brek! We will return here EVERY YEAR!
Amazing food and service
Great place, food was delicious. Went with my 12 year old and he really enjoyed it. Mariam was an exceptional server.
The location was great. The food was awful.
Great family dinner place with top service and ambiance. Food is very good and good price value.
Poor quality food.
Nice server but would not recommend this restaurant.
Fabulous crab legs! Husband and son ordered the 20oz portion and the 10oz. portion was more than enough for my daughter and I (each). We parked right behind Mi Casa and the ski rental shop and a short walk to the restaurant. We visit here eat trip just for the crab legs!
Great group business dinner. Steaks were good, wine service was also good. Attentive servers.
We were away on spring break with our two sons. Our waiter, Jacob, was very attentive to us. The boys wanted to try game and each ordered the venison and elk sausage appetizer. Very tasty!
All four of us had different steaks. One son had the ribeye which was very good, my husband had the N.Y. sirloin (it was okay), my other son and I had the filet. I requested medium rare and it was a little overdone. Within a very short period of time they replaced it with a perfectly cooked and seasoned filet.
I appreciate when a restaurant offers you something free or comps what they got wrong. In this case they offered me a cocktail.
We finished dinner by ordering 2 desserts, the s’mores cookies and a piece of amazing chocolate cake that was rich and delicious. The manager brought us a 3rd dessert to try, chocolate mousse... so good!
Couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience! Caleb was our server and, what a nice guy! He was very attentive, knew the menu, had some great drink recommendations (the whiskey sour made by Kevin was deeeelish!) Miriam was also on staff and it was clear that her and Caleb were working as a team to ensure that all of their guests received the best of service. Clay, the GM stopped by and chatted with us. He and a team of people came from Florida and it is very clear they are working toward making this place awesome! The Dredge is a MUST VISIT in Breckenridge. I mean, it is the highest floating restaurant in the world so that should be reason enough. I would like to end my review by saying, don’t take the negative reviews seriously and understand that EVERY restaurant has an off night. Give this place a chance, I promise you won’t regret it. Best service in Breck by far. Cheers!
Went for apps in the bar area. Jake and Liz were awesome. Super welcoming even when it was super busy. Headed downstairs for dinner. Great food. Super prompt. Very courteous crew. Caleb and Miriam took great care of me.
Excellent friendly service. Crab legs were very good. Pork chop was excellent.
Went for a bachelor party. Everything was perfect, and they even gave us a private room. Great service , food was amazing , and it was cool being on a boat eating. Only thing is the food was a little pricey but definitely worth it! Thanks for a great time !!
The restaurant staff was not friendly or engaged. Our waiter wouldn't look at us, he rushed through the specials and we couldn't understand anything he said which irritated him. When we finished our appetizers they cleared the plates and our cutlery but didn't bring new forks and knives. When they brought our entree we had to ask another waiter for new cutlery and wait 5 minutes before it arrived. Food was okay but the atmosphere and attitudes of the staff made it a poor experience.
This was our 2nd time at the Dredge. The first time we had a reservation but they had overbooked and we couldn't get in. Once bitten twice shy, I would recommend you eat elsewhere.
Food was good. Waiter screwed up order and then blamed us.
We arrived 30 minutes late, so off to a good start. Especially because we thought we were on time.
It was however never a problem, and we were catered for as if we had been on time.
Lovely setting, and the interior decorations followed up what was promised outside.
Food was very good, quickly served and starters and mains were well timed.
We’ll certainly be back for more next year.
While the atmosphere was nice, the service very good, the food was average. As my daughter described the place, "it's decent". It was ok. There are a lot better restaurants in town for the money in my opinion. We looked at reviews and they too were mixed, so we decided to try it for ourselves. I honestly am not going back.
My salmon was good, but my husband's dish, sirloin steak, was very fatty and greasy. The atmosphere was unique, which we enjoyed, but the meal was fair overall. We were pleased with our servers.
We have been to Breckenridge dozens of times and have never visited the dredge. We are sorry we never came sooner. We were skeptical at first since this place is in a dredge thinking that it might be a little hokey. However it was not. The steaks were cooked to perfection. And they actually have wild salmon. We will definitely be back to the dredge
A must when visiting Breckinridge !
Located on a repical of a mining dredge in the center of town - very authentic ambiance !
The pork chop and ribeye were amazing, however the Brussels sprouts were gross! They were so undercooked. There with 4 people, we all got the and not one person at the table could eat them they were so raw and hard. Which was very sad. The waiter was very nice and we loved the paper table cloth and crayons. Awesome location too.
Friendly staff. Did whatever they could to meet our requests for dinner. Filet was outstanding. Great place for a family to have a nice dinner and for a small group to meet for great food and a nice evening together. Relaxed atmosphere, but the food was great.
Fun destination for dinner.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal...from the setting to the service to the delicious food!
The service was very good but was not happy with the food.
Went with friends visiting Summit County. Had friendly service and a good selection of food options. Overall folks were thrilled with their food.
Average meal in Breck. Burger was a dry hockey puck. Server had no idea what we meant when we asked for our expensive wine to be decanted. Maybe be better for a lunch, but just average.
Good food and good service. Had a great time and would recommend.
Small menu with limited options. My steak was cold, the only good thing was the service.
Our server Francesca was great! Helpful with choosing dishes. Patient with our slow conversation. Elk medallions were excellent. Also went to the bar upstairs for a final drink all around a great experience!
Mid to upper end menu with great food and excellent service for a ski town.
Went back again the next night.
It was great!
