It took more than 1/2 hr to get our cocktails. Server not visible for at least 10 minutes after seated. Definitely not the same level of attention or service as pre-Helene. Took over 2 1/2 hrs for a two course meal with coffee. Not willing to recommend even for special occasions.

Overall, it was a great experience and I do still recommend this restaurant. However, I took off a star b/c it was no where near the level it was the last time we were here two years ago. Two years ago it was the most phenomenal meal we had ever had in our lives. This time, the food was still delicious, but there was a noticeable decline in the quality. We were so impressed last time that we not only took pictures of our food after it arrived, but we actually took screenshots of the menu. I was therefore able to cross-reference the current menu with what it was two years ago. I had the Filet Mignon both times. Not much on the written menu changed, but the portions did. The bed of potato butter that the fillet rested on was replaced by streaks of potato butter, and the whole pieces of asparagus were replaced with a few slices of asparagus that probably wouldn’t have equaled a single piece. My wife had the Chicken Roulade, the changes of which were more obvious. This is what led us to cross-reference the prior menu. The Chicken Roulade used to be served in a shallow bowl on a bed of wild mushrooms and confit potatoes next to a large pool of sweet apple gravy. The result was the single most delicious chicken dish I have ever experienced. This time, the mushrooms, potatoes, and sweet apple gravy had been removed completely. Slices of parsnips were added, but that in no way could make up for the absence of the other elements. Don’t get me wrong, it was a delicious meal, the service was excellent, and it was still a wonderful experience. It just wasn’t anywhere close to the level it used to be. I sincerely hope that this is just a temporary change owing to the ongoing challenges that the area is still facing in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and that one day the restaurant will be able to return to its former glory.

Whenever we visit The Biltmore, we always have dinner in The Dining Room at the Inn on Biltmore Estate. As you walk into the dining room, you are surrounded by elegance. The tables are adorned with white linen and silver dinner ware. The staff are dressed in black suits with sparkling white shirts and dark ties. As you approach the table, you are seated! Chairs are pulled out for you, the linen napkin placed in your lap. This is fine dining at it's best. And it's not just for show! My wife started our dinner with A-5 Wagyu, which she said was outstanding. I opted for the Caesar salad, which was inventively served and very good. As her dinner entre, my wife had the filet mignon, served with potatoes, asparagus and a truffle cream, which she pronounced as "excellent." I had the Elk Loin, and it was a treat! Expertly prepared and presented with an excellent raspberry gastrique. For dessert, my wife enjoyed the honey vanilla crème brulee. I had the chocolate hazelnut and blackberry cheesecake, which paired excellently with our after dinner coffee. I highly recommend enjoying a dinner at The Dining Room when you visit The Biltmore. It's so well worth the experience.

The Biltmore Estate restaurant is worth of its reputation and rating! The food and service were amazing and the staff truly make you feel welcome and appreciated. We would like to callout our server, Liana, who was so kind and attentive and knowledgeable and despite being very busy, always made us feel like she had all the time in the world for us. She also helped make my birthday celebration special. We look forward to our next visit.

We looked forward to having dinner in the Main dining room however, for some reason they would not seat us near a window after we requested this. The hostess stated we might have a bit of a wait if we wanted to change tables. 2 of these tables remained completely unoccupied during our meal.
