Encapsulating the elegance and history of Vienna and wider Central-Europe, The Delaunay evokes the spirit of grand café dining, infused with a sense of timelessness.

Located by Covent Garden and in the heart of theatre-land, the menus celebrate European flavours, often spotlighting lesser-known continental dishes.

Open early for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner, and Afternoon Tea on weekends, The Delaunay is open seven days a week. Alongside the restaurant, there is also a bar and counter setting.

And with a special pre-theatre ‘Full Haus’ set menu, guests can enjoy 3 courses and a glass of wine or beer for just £29.50, Monday – Friday 4:30pm – 6pm, before heading off to see one of the West-End’s finest shows.

    Located in the heart of London’s Theatreland, The Delaunay is perfectly placed for a pre-theatre supper, and our ‘Full Haus’ menu is just the ticket, with 3 courses and a drink for £29.50. The 3-course set menu has been created with all our signature European flair, featuring some of our most popular dishes, such as our Soufflé Swiss and Grilled Spatchcock Chicken. Included in the offer is a glass of house wine, beer, or soft drink. The Full Haus is available Monday – Friday 4:30pm-6pm and from 9pm till Close.

    The Delaunay is in my top 10 restaurants. This classic grand-salon ticks all the boxes. A Thursday lunchtime and the place is buzzing, staff are well-drilled, professional and busy. My food; Smoked salmon, Weiner Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarm.. perfect! I shall return as soon as I can.

    The first thing to say, is that the atmosphere at the restaurant is delightful. It really does feel like you’re in an upmarket Austrian café from decades ago. We started off at the bar with some of their original cocktails, which were very nice. After moving to the table, we went with the Easter specials. Both of us had white asparagus for starters and then one of us had a rack of lamb and the other fried gnocchi in a morel sauce. We finished off with hot cross buns with a caramel sauce. All very nicely prepared and presented. Tasty too. Portions can be quite quite large, so factor that in when making choices! If there is a grumble, it is that it is a little on the pricey side (especially the wine by the glass prices), so treat as a special occasion place would be my recommendation.

    This was our fist visit to Delaunay & we were very pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious except for broccoli which was far too el dente, we couldn’t even cut it so most was left. 15% service charge is a bit steep but didn’t spoil the experience however, would think twice before booking again.
