They gave us a special table because it was a birthday. Our waiter Andrew was exceptional.
Pork chop was the best ever. Open seafood ravioli was delicious.
MY family has been coming here for over 30 years. You finally priced us out forever. I will not return. Obviously you now only cater to the very rick which is no me. It is outrageous what you charge for food and drinks. NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Despite making a reservation a week in advance and confirming it the day before and arriving on ime, we were kept waiting for more than 20 minutes. When we entered the dining room there appeared to be a number of unoccupied tables. Reception seemed very disorganized.
The wait time for our food was about an hour.
Kitchen was “backed up”.
Second time this has happened there.
Other than that it was excellent. Server was very good.
You need to fix this!!!!!
I’d rather have less wait time for food instead of a dessert on the house.
Two of the three in our party liked the food but the wait time for appetizers and then our entrees was off the charts slow. Did not order dessert which I usually enjoy but I just wanted to leave. A birthday celebration gone sour. I hope they get their act together as we loved the restaurant in past.
Not sure what the story was, but we waited two hours for our food and what we received was not very good and over cooked.
We waited over a hour for our meal , had to ask for water. Blue cheese dressing was like it was watered down. Very poor service.
Everything was very good but I wish the salad was included in the side dish selections!
We love the Crows Nest. The food is excellent and what we like is that they have some unusual dishes. We like to try new things. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Been going there for years. It continues to please!
My favorite place in Venice. The view of the boats on the water is fabulous!
Not my first time here. As usual, the food was terrific and the service quite good despite a crowded Sunday lunchtime. Food portions were more than adequate. Bit slightly pricey.
The location is everything! The seating is comfortable and the food and service is better than average.
We have eaten here before and it was great. Not sure why the food was sub-par on this visit, perhaps our late dining time? Beautiful restaurant and am surprised that I cannot give it the 5 stars...
Excellent service, staff was very pleasant and attentive. The food was excellent, best prime rib I ever had.
Thank you again for such a pleasant experience
The crab cakes were cold. Manager warmed them up and all was well.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience. Where else would you want to get a magical seafood dinner than on the water itself. The food was devine and the service very professional yet personable. Thanks to our server Zack and the Crows Nest... we will be back
Crow’s Nest is our “go to” restaurant in Venice...we live in Sarasota. Outstanding on every dimension. You won’t be disappointed. In fact, crow’s Nest will exceed your expectations!
One of our party ordered the seafood platter. It arrived without the promised oysters, but, the problem was resolved once our waiter was made aware of it. The rest of our meals were as advertised and very good. Parking can be difficult, but we got there early, so found spaces near the restaurant.
It was a gorgeous night in Venice so we sat outside. The ambiance was perfect . Always have the best dinners here. My entree was Salmon and it was perfect. You won’t be disappointed.
Ok, I’ve just had the best fresh grouper, lobster, shrimp, scallops meal with mushrooms, garlic mash and creamed spinach. Courtesy of the Crows Nest ( Grouper Key Largo ). My wife had scallops gratin which also was excellent. Jess our server was awesome!
We had a seat by the window and enjoyed the outing. The only "downer" was that the fish in the fisherman's platter was too dry.
It was very busy when we arrived but our seating was perfect. Our waiter was awesome and as always the view was fabulous
The staff is wonderful, cannot say enough. We will be back soon. Thanks, Carolee
Celebrating Valentines Day, a day earlier, we had such great service. Everyone was so friendly and very accommodating. If you needed anything, plenty of servers around to help. Our food came out hot and fresh. Loved the view from our table. Next time we will book our reservations a little earlier to get the date we want.
This was my birthday and it was the first time in eleven years we chose the Crow's Nest.
I always splurge and get King Crab and was not disappointed. Their presentation with a
heated butter warmer was an especially nice touch. Great adult beverages.
Our waiter was exceptional. Professional and friendly. He gave me the recipe for the martini I ordered which was delicious. The oyster rockerfeller was just ok. The bread is nothing special....cold rolls and crackers. We decided to try the early bird special since 4:30 was the only time available. The chicken piccata was not served with pasta. The portion was small but tasty. Regular Entrees are expensive but the views of the water and our waiter made it worth the visit.
All was good very attentive, great food.
After we were finished with our hourse dourve the busser asked if he could take our plate of slugs
Possibility of great views, but not if you dont have a window side table. The dining room tables were very close and noise level was terrible. Our food was good (scampi florentine with shrimp & shrimp and grits) , not spectacular. Server was very nice, but too busy to be very attentive. I would only go back if I could reserve a window-side or outdoor table. Food was not good enough to compensate for a crowded, noisy dining experience.
Seafood bisque was ok certainly not worth 7.50 . Disappointing as we had it here 2 years ago and it was outstanding.
The service and food were both excellent. Parking was difficult but they provided shuttle service from an off site location.
Good food, amazing views and friendly attentive service. Our server, Andrea was wonderful.
My husband got the wrong order and didn't realize it until we got the bill, and was charged for a more expensive meal. We were with friends and he didn't want to cause a scene. His steak that he did get was overcooked and tough. My friend was not offered another glass of ice tea her whole meal. Another friend ordered a specialty beer and later told us he was served the wrong beer ( he also didn't want to cause a scene and said nothing). It was extremely noisy and we almost had to shout to be heard. We are staying at a condo on Tarpon Center Dr. - but will not be returning to the Crow's Nest.
We brought guests here for a birthday and we were all very happy with our dining experience.
Delicious meal in spectacular setting.
Yes................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ good location; menu good choices. We liked it...Took our boat there.
Great fresh seafood restaurant. They take the time to read your profile (open table) on my reservations and the maitr’d made suggestions about my dietary preferences and assured me my server would be able to accommodate, without me asking. I thought this was a nice personal touch they did their homework before I arrived. The dips/spreads that accompany the bread basket are tasty and creative. The clams casino and escargot were delicious and the escargot came with fresh baked bread for dipping.
We both ordered the key west platter which is a seafood delight with lobster, scallops, grouper filet and shrimp. All sautéed with mushrooms with a light yet tasty sauce, accompanied by 2 sides your choice from a wonderful and creative list.
This is our second trip to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We will be back again next time we are in Venice.
