The noise level was very high and an unruly loud kid was allowed in the bar area. We requested another table away from the madness and the noise level was better. When leaving the restaurant, the two young girls working the hostess station were laughing uncontrollably and appeared to be making fun of customers. Maturity of junior high schoolers. Probably won’t be back.

My bride and I were celebrating our 55th anniversary with a nice lunch at The Creek Restaurant. It is one of our three favorite restaurants in the San Antonio area. My bride ordered the Grilled Wedge Salad and I ordered the Blackened Chicken Salad. Both entrees were delicious, full meals. The bread was fresh and warm. The service was absolutely top-notch, and all of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The overall experience was wonderful.

Last night's dinner continues to reinforce our opinion that Tardif's Boerne Bistro at The Creek (a needlessly long name, btw) is moving steadily towards the quality execution found at Jean Tardif's main outpost in Leon Springs/Dominion. Old favorites from past ownership have been integrated into Tardif's Brasserie menu items to good effect. Shrimp Tampico is consistently excellent and one of the best values on the menu. Escargots were also excellent, as were the slightly skimpy side of grilled asparagus and a perfectly done potato gratin. Of particular note is this latest updated wine list, with a far more substantial and appropriate selection of French and Spanish wines--all priced at far more appealing level which encourages multiple bottles. Bravo! The absence of the hokey live karaoke guitarist was a welcome change, making the experience far calmer and less obtrusive. Service continues to achieve new heights and our server, Eduardo, was polished and provided a very nice finish to a long day. Overall, the value of the meal considering the quality is exceptional and makes this our favorite hometown restaurant!

Joel our waiter did a great job. Food as good as always. Did not have the wine we ordered in stock, so the wine sommelier excitedly offered us a different Chardonnay and told us it was 40% off. Upon checkout, we were charged the full menu price - no 40% discount… when we inquired we’re told the menu price included the discount?? still a 5 star experience, but it would’ve been nice to know the absolute price before we ordered two bottles…..

There is a reason why this is the Number One place for fine dining in Boerne. We are from SAT but eat at The Creek when we have the opportunity. A birthday dinner for my Husband during a Birthday Weekend getaway was that opportunity recently. Everything was perfect but for my oysters on the half shell. They even acknowledged his birthday with a desert, which many dining establishments have eliminated. And I would be remiss to not also acknowledge their beautiful location. This is the kind of place that pays attention to detail, beginning with the hostess even wishing a big Happy Birthday to my Husband upon our arrival! That says it all.

I was so disappointed in my meal. My husband and I were in Boerne, and having been to this restaurant before, I wanted him to try it. I ordered a salad and added salmon. Neither had any taste or flavor at all, not even the salad dressing. The salmon was a strange cut and had a vein, for lack of a better word, running down the middle that was all fat. I prepare salmon quite often, and have never seen this. While visiting one of my favorite shops in town, I asked what was new around Boerne. I was told that The Creek has a new owner and he's revamped the menu. Hmmm. Maybe he needs to work on his food. The service was attentive and friendly.

We waited 45 minutes after our reservation to be seated and were crammed at a table where the host says “sorry about the tight squeeze this is all we can do” and puts the menus down and walks away. My girlfriend and I split the rack of lamb, where mine came out cooked medium rare, as requested, hers came out VERY well done. So, we asked the waitress about it who was very kind about it and said oh so sorry, let me get you a new one. The “new one” came out and I wasn’t even rare. It was raw. Completely raw and inedible. So then my girlfriend just said I’ll do something else and get the pasta. Of course, they just had run out of the pasta. So she ended up not getting anything. On top of that, the way of mending the 45 minute wait for a RESERVATION and then the lamb being raw was to “remove that one half of the lamb” and on top of that, since our party size was 8, automatic gratuity of 20%. Would not recommend this place to anyone

Good location, friendly staff, very well-prepared food and usual good service. Lots of people in the restaurant but sound level was still low with nice ambience. (Nice to look over Cibola Creek while we were eating).
